    Do you ever pack a side arm? Especially in an area with bears.

    looking at a similar hunt so I'd be interesting to hear more about your opinions of the waders you used... do you prefer the stocking foot waders? did those keep your feet warm? would you use booted waders in hindsight?

    • @Fresh_Tracks
      @Fresh_Tracks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Ryan, it's Michael here. We were fine with the stocking foot. We both have that style because we wade fish for trout, duck hunt etc here in Montana with them. To answer your question, I do prefer the stocking foot waders. I would think about what else you will do with the waders and have that drive what you decide on. If you are going to be standing in one spot for a while in cold water or have exceptionally cold feet then booted waders might be the answer. Otherwise I really like to stalking foot because they arn't too hot and they are easier to walk around in! Hope this helps!

    Great video guys. Yeah, tarp and cordage are 2 things I usually have extra of. Going out on those trips there's always that "I wish I brought this" or "I could've done without that". But I think you guys did great.

    Thanks for doing this video. It may be a shorter video, but I would be interested in hearing your experiences of going through TSA and the airlines with all the gear, any overcharges, etc. Great series!

    Randy- Congratulations on drawing your moose tag! I heard you mention on the elk talk podcast it’s a unit 2 hours from Bozeman. If you drew 330 or 331, send me a PM and I’ll give you some coordinates where I’ve seen some big bulls in the last couple years. I normally don’t give out spots, but for a moose tag I would make an exception. Good luck.

    Good job guys going over practically everything and editing down to 27 minutes. I know that your goal was not to have 3 hours of footage to edit. Congratulations once again to both of you on your bears 🐻 and going on a sweet trip
