There's a comic on that batman hunting the green arrow for being a killer also I like the cws arrow it's more for adults then a child's TV show a plus for me.

Tbh I totally agree with number 1, seriously Green Arrow fighting Batman villains (Ra's al Ghul, Deathstroke, Talia al ghul) and Batman is supposed to be the dark brooding hero, with a sidekick and a wheelchaired tech support, not the Green Arrow, who should have stayed with Black Canary, who Arrowverse killed off.
Jason D. Phoenix They are now. The next crossover will bring in Batwoman (Kate Kane). Which I believe will lead into a Batwoman series. And to answer the question as to why Batman isn’t in the Arrowverse, I believe it has to do with the movies. Yes there’s Superman in Supergirl and well Flash, but that was the reason that Slade/Deathstroke was taken out of Arrow and they’d probably do the same with Batman if I had to guess.

Grimmjowluver123 Slade actually left because they changed writers after season 2, The original Arrow writters switched over to Flash and the story changed as a result and it took the new writters a few seasons to find their footing. Also his actor had a new series he was filming in AU or NZ. The movies have nothing to do with it.
This, in my opinion, should be called "Top 5 Things CW has changed about the Green Arrow", since some of the aspects from the comics would not work in the live action version.
Facts and why replace her with her earth 2 doppelgänger? No sense Olicity is a whole new idea, they ruined the show many ways, if they avoided those ways and just didn’t do any adjust other than maybe a few add ones like Damien Darhk, the show would have been perfect
More and more the Arrowverse is turning into a girl power pep rally. "We are the Flash?" Really? And even though there has been similarities with Bruce and Ollie. Ollie never had his own Oracle. Oh yeah, and Supergirl isn't more powerful than Superman.
Nether characters are black. Im a huge comic fan and I hate when they change a characters race to appeal to a certain audience. Keep these characters white and keep the black characters black. If they want original black characters give us our own original black super heros.
Season 1 was great, season 2 was excellent, season 3 was good but a little inconsistent in it's tone and story, season 4 was pretty Average at best and gringworthy (mostly in the second half) at worst, Season 5 was just short of a masterpiece of a season and though 8 episodes season 6 has been a pretty good follow up to season 5

Let's start with Felicity there is many reasons why she is a bad character but theses are my top 2 reasons why , before Ollie died he wanted Felicity to reunite William with Mia so they can grow up together but she never did that that was the last thing Ollie asked her to do and she couldn't even do it . She embarrassed him at iris and Barry's reception all Felicity broke off the engagement I understand why but when they get back together again Oliver wanted to marry her again when they were at the reception and Felicity had to yell ' I don't want to marry you Oliver ' she could have said it quietly to Ollie but she had to yell at him he loves her so much and she doesn't deserve any of it but he still loves her and all she can do is be the negative one in the relationship . Iris , I didn't have a problem with her in the first 2 seasons but once she became Barry's girlfriend she thought that she was so important and they just needed her to join the team but she isn't even useful they could have left her as Barry's girlfriend but even then I don't think she fitted in the show that way in every movie and comic Barry and Iris have this amazing connection but in this show Barry's connection isn't with her I think that Barry shouldn't have her as a wife but have Caitlin . Yes Caitlin and Ronnie were the best couple but they killed him off she did say in the early seasons that she needed to fid someone new to get crazy for we all knew she was talking about Barry and their friend ship is so amazing and they can talk about anything . Once they started to make Iris important I stopped watching the show I only watched clips they show too much of her once Barry goes in to the speed force . Those are my reasons to why I dislike Iris and Felicity there are way more but theses are my main reasons why .
Felicity complains to Ovilever about everything he does, like with his son. He didn't tell her for good reason and got angry over sending him away to keep him safe, even though it had nothing to do with her. Iris was fine but got so annoying, she became a main character for no reason and was so boring. Also the "we are the Flash" thing was stupid. In other word Laurel should have been with Oliver because they had more chemistry (even Cupid did) with Oliver. Then Caitlen (I'm not sure if that's spelt right) and Barry should have been together. They just made them both unbearable

The Black Canary story is Arrow's real and lasting crime and failure. I was expecting to go on this amazing journey of watching Dinah Lance go from average attorney to badass metahuman superhero. Instead her title is treated like nothing more than a series of knockoff Robins. Now it's like the universe is trying to play damage control with both a new unneeded Black Canary along with a new Earth-2 Dinah Lance. Should've just finished what it started with Dinah Lance.

Greg Caldwell I mean in the comics it's a title that's passed down, as well. Just in the opposite way. Dinah Drake (newest one) is the original in the comics, and she's Dinah Laurel's mom.
Bob Pickleson All that I know but Sara Lance was already serving as the original Dinah Drake adaptation in the show anyway and the mantle had already been passed down to Laurel making everything Dinah Drake does later seem like a knockoff of either Sara or Laurel. The story wasnt about simply passing down a mantle, it was about family legacy and Drake isn't family and didn't even know Sara or Laurel making her actually look a bit stupid for taking on a name because some strange guy told her she should. Killing off Black Canary just as she was getting good only to immediately replace her with a knockoff also didn't do the show any favors considering it already had a bad reputation over how it writes women. Then the show actually had the audacity to act as though Laurel had been this amazing and fullfilled superhero when she actually had just gotten started and wasn't even given a grand heroic death.
Gregory Caldwell exactly. It’s so dumb. Laurel became black canary in season 3, she could have been in central city working on a case (which actually makes sense!) and then given the Powers after the accelerator explosion. Then she would go out in secret and fight off people. Then her and Green arrow would meet and he falls for Black Canary who he later learns to actually be Laurel. Just saying arrow knows what they did and they know it ruined the show. The three best seasons of the show (1,2,5) are the best, you know why because their isn’t any olicity drama. And if they want olicity that don’t have to do it in a way that makes us hate it so much
In the comics, though, Oliver's sister was later known as "Speedy." Even in the show, when trying to get Roy's attention a few times in season 2 Oliver does call him Speedy; only a few times.
The fact that Black Canary isn’t his love interest really rustles my jimmies! I can’t watch the show cause of it. It’s just too inaccurate to the source material.
My biggest problems with the show: 1 - They destroyed the "Black Canary" character ("Dinah" Laurel Lance) and her relationship with "Green Arrow" (They are my favorite comic book couple) 2 - Oliver is too "Bruce Wayne-ish"... Always serious and brooding... Where is the Green Arrow from the comics? With his sense of humor and jokes? 3 - The "Olicity" crap... Just kill that character, CW...

The fact that this Oliver is more "Bruce Wayne-ish", instead of the Oliver from comics/animations, is a minor thing but still bugs me because I really like Oliver's sense of humor in the comics/animated series

King Merck No, they just decided to change it. That's not a mistake, it was simply a creative decision they made. Having Oliver cracking jokes all the time wouldn't fit the tone that they were going for on the show, or his back story.
LeoGang Monty That is the one and only time we get to 'see' Harley in Arrow. They basically killed off the Suicide Squad in Arrow because of the movie and there was supposed to be another Harley 'appearance' but it was scrapped
One major flaw with this video. While his “Robin Hood” outfit is his most famous outfit. In the late 80s under Mike Grell, Oliver did wear an outfit the had a hood like the one on the show. So they were actually being accurate to the comics

I'm surprised they didn't mention killing. In the comic, Ollie has very, very rarely killed. In the show, he had racked up quite the body count and still kills when needs be.
Well Batman in Gotham isn't Batman either, and face it, he's a better batman than all but 2 of the DC Movie Batmans, and frankly he does a Batman voice better than Christian Bale did, at least I can understand what he's saying.

CW Oliver Queen is basically a dollar store version of Bruce Wayne. Oliver isnt a dark brooding person. Seasons 1-3 were great. After that it went downhill. I got tired of Stephen Amell's 2 emotions. The "somebody ran over my dog" face and the "felicity please love me" face.
Season 5s finale is one of if not the best episode in the series...You got to check out season 5. Adrian chase is a really good villain too and that's saying a lot because villains these days suck in superhero tv and movies
I really love Green Arrow's personality in the comics. The show's Ollie is such a contrast to his Comic personality and is the reason I haven't moved from the episode I'm in on season 1.

Sonic Badass season 4 was the pinnacle of Arrow as a show and the height of all Tv entertainment! We got to see the bad a** Oliver Queen from the first 3 season turn into a stay at home wife for felicity who cooked meals and has brunch with her mom. And the down to earth gritty story telling get turned into a watered down show about mysticism with snarky one liners. And the flash backs omg from mercenaries and super soldiers to hill Billy’s and discount drug farms yep that’s evolutionary writing if ever I saw it. So the next time you want to talk bs about season 4 remember what I told you here.
kaledov It’s still one of the laziest seasons ever. Thankfully, season 5 was much better. Season 4 had some good parts, Sara comes back and that’s how she joins Legends, Constantine shows for 1 episode, Thea’s progress since her death. Flaws: Laurel dies? Really? Should’ve killed Felicity instead, would’ve make sense. After everything Oliver has been through and losing the girl of her dreams was a bad move. Making Darhk invincible for too damn long or too soon was also something people didn’t like.
The biggest offenses to me are number 1(ironic considering my name on here) and number 3. A big problem in DC is that heroes not named Batman, Superman, or Wonder Woman rarely stand out, by making Arrow a reflection of Batman it only enhances my point. Black Canary is one of the most important characters to the Green Arrow mythos, so doing what they have done with her character, only takes away from the real Green Arrow's character more I feel.
In "The Longbow Hunters" trilogy from the 80s, Oliver was a darker person like you see in the show. As well, it's one of few comic series before the show where he wears a hood and not a hat; his suit looked a lot like it did in Season 1 of "Arrow." However, he still has the facial hair in "The Longbow Hunters," unlike the show.
When you do an ambitious 4-part crossover between 4 different superhero shows, but spends half of the time with Olicity bitching about their "never-should've-happened" relationship **Insert meme here**

Arrow didn't get anything wrong from green Arrow because the show isn't a straight up adaption, it's a else-world story like every other DC related TV show, none of them, Smallville, Supergirl, Gotham, Arrow or Flash stick exactly to the comics.
No I wouldn't care at all they could all mix up couples change costumes. I'm going to start shipping Spiderman and Killer Frost. That might be fun. BTW twilight did miss several things I still enjoyed it and I hated Hunger game so eh.
One thing I want to see the most is Earth-1 Oliver Queen Dead and Team Flash goes to another Earth to find a similar Oliver Queen but more comedic. Something like in the InJustice Universe.

The costume makes sense. Shado's character was changed because that wasn't the story the show wanted to tell. Roy's backstory may have been overlooked but he developed on-screen well enough. You can just blame the writers for not properly using Black Canary. It's a different take on Green Arrow. Gritty Arrow works just like campy Batman works too.

Omar Guillen Green Arrow's hood works, but sleeves? Dude have you ever shot a bow before? Sleeves? They're so impractically stupid. Season 4's costume is what practicality looks like.
last raven85 Do you remember the several times that Oliver didn't need his sight to fight? In the episode where he is drugged with vertigo (season 1) he takes on all of the Count's thugs without the bow, and well dizzy/disoriented. There is also the hallway scene where he rescues Walter and hears the guy with the gun before he turns the corner.

Really spam? MAYBE #1 but the others? It was just a stupid-ass desicision because CW exes thought that people wanted grimdark gritty. But they missed the mark horribly. It's watchmojo None of them have ever read a single comic book they just skim through various comment sections and message boards and look for the most commonly mentioned argument points. then they use google image search and youtube to find popular comic book covers, comic panels and video clips to give the illusion that they know what they're talking about/ have done research for their videos.
I remember getting on board late, binging it after The Netflix started showing it, and my reaction was pretty much the same for the entire four seasons I could actually get through. I asked my friends who had been onboard since the beginning, “I’m not the only one watching to see who gets revealed next, am I?” And the answer was always “yes.” I watch Flash to see Flash being Flash, I watched Arrow to see Barry become Flash, Slade become Deathstroke, Lance become Canary, and Ray become Iron Man.
The only reason i don't like green arrow is because he doesn't kill again (in the comics and show) Wtf did u give him a bow and arrows just to stop him from killing, it's like giving a soldier a pistol and said him to war just to tell him later not to kill
It's to remind him of what he went through, and to remind him of why he helps people. He's modeled himself after Robin Hood, hoping he could do good like the hero of fable. As for the bow and arrow, he has trick arrows, different types of arrows can kill if used in a certain way, but most are used to incapacitate enemies.
Honestly I stop watching Arrow this season just couldn't stomach it anymore. If I wanna watch Batman then I would watch the Dark Knight trilogy. It's funny that Stephen Amell played or voice a very good Green Arrow in Injustice: Gods Among Us. Other than that he makes a very convincing Batman with a bow.
6 seasons of watching arrow and THIS season is what you could not take anymore? Dark knight trilogy is only 3 movies, arrow is an on going tv show..I am aware arrow has many problems but I like that the cw shows all feel connected unlike in the netflix universe where they just make references to the movie characters and barely show up in each others shows

He did use the boxing glove arrow in one episode. Oliver has money again now that he is mayor. He has a beard too, although it's not as long as the comic version. There is humor, it's just more dry and sarcastic, and less "quippy".

Dinah/Black Canary This team is well balanced, it includes a tech-savvy person who can also defend themselves and is not handicapped. The team has two people with long ranged weapons (Oliver- bow and arrow, Diggle- firearm) and includes two metahumans (Dinah and Laurel) with potent cries). The team also includes two people who can fight with close-range weaponry (Dinah- bo staff, Laurel- tonfa), not to mention lack of vulnerability or limitation in terms of self-defense. This team is ideal thanks to it's diversity but balance of techniques...
One thing I don't like is how on each of these CW shows (not including Legends) the main hero needs like 20 people to help them find 1 bad guy when in the comics they either find them themselves or get 2 others to help
But Oliver is still optimistic, though. He's become a lot more optimistic about things, as before he didn't trust anyone. So, although he's not exactly the same as comic book Green Arrow, he's still more comic book accurate than he was in previous seasons

People keep bringing up the fact that Black Canary isn't with Oliver in the show but people tend to forget that Katie Cassidy and Stephen Amell weren't just a good fit, even in the beginning. Their chemistry in Season 1 was non existent (Amell had a better run with Caity "White Canary" Lotz in Season 2) and she (Katie) was constantly being requested to be replaced by another actress by the fans, which ironically, only became her avid supporters when she was killed off in Season 4. Honestly though, people loathe Felicity (I also do at times), but who else is there to pick from? As I said, Caity Lotz was the only one I could say was perfect for Amell's Oliver, and now she's on Legends.

Actually, the Batman comparisons are pretty much spot on. The Golden Age Green Arrow had a LOT in common with Batman, including an Arrowcave, Arrowcar and Arrowplane.
Season 5 was pretty cool and most of the olicity shit has kinda died down now..though they do have their moments from time to time now and they are married in the show
They combined Thea and Roy's stories together to make two new characters. They were probably considering killing off Sara or Thea early on and wanted Oliver to have an anchor just like Barry has in Iris.
3:28 Yeah Bro, I love Arrow, but I'll never forgive the writers for what they did to Oliver and Laurel. They're one of the biggest couples in the DC Universe. And I don't hate Felicity, but she was funny as a friend. But she started to get annoying, when she turned into a love interest, they constantly broke up. Oliver and Laurel were had been lovebirds their entire lives. There was nothing stopping them. Oliver and Laurel literally got back together even after he came back.
None of these are mistakes, just a different take on the character. You might as well say that they got the 1966 Batman wrong by making it a campy parody, or that they got the 1989 Batman wrong by changing the killer of his family to the Joker. Those were deliberate choices, not mistakes.

Murdock lucky for me i’m not coming from the comics so i can enjoy without expectations. i do tend to stay away from movies or tv shows that i don’t feel i can go into with an open mind tho. i feel that’s setting myself up for disappointment. and while i’m sure it’s really fun for fans to have a faithful adaption, you have to admit that a lot of content simply doesn’t translate across mediums.

This version of green arrow reminds me too much of batman. In the animations hes usually kind of funny and has a grrat personallity. This one is just too dark to be the green arrow i expected to see

You can't really make this video. Arrow was loosely based off of the comic Arrow, and was a new direction in Green Arrow. You can say Season 4 was comparable but nobody wants to watch that.
i think point 3-5 is ok, they are just things they changed, and not things they got wrong, the hooded costume was also part of the green arrow comics, so I dont see it as something they got wrong. I think the thing they really got wrong, i agree with would be point 2, that was very very bad, they got it so wrong, olicity killed season 4 and damaged the show so badly to the point where the show might have no return, and replacing such an iconic dc couple with olicity at the same time killing off the black canary in that season really rubbed the comic book fans the wrong way. Point 1 I do understand, but alot of people fail to realise is that there is a gritty and dark storyline in the arrow comics like the longbow hunters story arc and mike drells run in the last 1980s. That period in time shows a green arrow that was gritty and gadgets and all were thrown our the window all thats left is good old fashion archery. At the same time a green arrow that was torment by the fact that he killed a man(like the man who was torturing black canary), which led to him killing his enemies at times. So yeah he wasnt always the light hearted and happy go lucky kinda guy. True brooding is more of a batman kinda thing, but people always seems to forget green arrow has that dark side to him as well. I do agree though shado and roy harper were characters that were very interesting and characters who had a lot more potential which the show failed to tap into.

The costume in the series is more like the costume from Mike Grell's Green Arrow run in the 80's. He was the first one to change the costume, gave him a hoodie instead of a hat. Grell really redefined the character, making him darker and grittier, and was also the first to make the character kill in the comics. The character (in season 1 & 2 for the most part) is really based on Grell's Green Arrow. So you see, there's really nothing that they got "wrong" with the show regarding the costume.
Mary Pollett Now that is just....No. Have you seen their actors off screen? To me they are basically Mulder and Scully/David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson if you have ever seen them. Their chemistry is just Wow.
Seriously what are you on and can I have some of it. Season 1 Felicity was a godsend to the Arrow program otherwise it would have been never ending grim dark without a single ray of humor. As it was, her first scene with Oliver was probably the first time both the actor and the character had a genuine smile during the series. With the right writing the Oliver Felicity relationship is quite fun to watch.
I dont get the hate on Felicity. She serves her part...shes decently acted...shes one of the funnier characters on the show...shes the tie in with the Flash for the most part....Emily Rchards suits the part and is believeable as a nerdy tech girl... like I said....I dont get the hate...
Bc felicity isn’t important in the comics. The comics fans want the show exactly like the comics and it isn’t. So they are pissy about it. I do agree season 4 was too much drama. Also,however beeing true that G.A. is a good friend of Flash, Oliver's Best friend is Hal Jordan(they even shared a title in the comics) But since they changed the "World Finest" Superman/Batman for Clark/Ollie in Smallville...I guess everything can happen in the CW...I was even expecting Diggle to be reveled as John Stewart... But now that he's Spartan I don't think they are going to bring any Green Lantern to the show...will Felicity became Black Cannary at some point?... and why mentioning Bruce Wayne if Oliver is already takeing his place and fighting his enemies(even killing Ras!)? PS: I loved season 1 and 2 and I have nothing against Stephen Amell's Dark Vigilante incarnation,...but I must admit that as cheesy it was his costume and the CGI,...Justin Hartley's version is closer to the O.Queen from the comics... Amell is just playing Batman (and his doing a better job than many other DarKnight)
This should not be titled “Top 5 Things Arrow has Gotten Wrong About Green Arrow.” Arrow is taking its own spin on the source material, essentially creating there own universe. In many ways, this is good as we get to see a lot of originality. So don’t say that the differences between Arrow and the comics are bad. That’s like saying every small difference between the LotR films or Harry Potter films and their book counterparts are bad.
I love how they point out that Felicity is in a wheel chair at one point but neglect that she can walk again and it was like 3 episodes she was actually in a wheelchair

My number 1 pet peeve with the show is his name. They took their sweet time to call him "Green Arrow" instead of just "Arrow". It was about damn time when they finally did. Not too happy about it.

And to answer the question as to why Batman isn’t in the Arrowverse, I believe it has to do with the movies. Yes there’s Superman in Supergirl and well Flash, but that was the reason that Slade/Deathstroke was taken out of Arrow and they’d probably do the same with Batman if I had to guess.

Season 1 was great, season 2 was excellent, season 3 was good but a little inconsistent in it's tone and story, season 4 was pretty Average at best and gringworthy (mostly in the second half) at worst, Season 5 was just short of a masterpiece of a season and though 8 episodes season 6 has been a pretty good follow up to season 5

Let's start with Felicity there is many reasons why she is a bad character but theses are my top 2 reasons why , before Ollie died he wanted Felicity to reunite William with Mia so they can grow up together but she never did that that was the last thing Ollie asked her to do and she couldn't even do it . She embarrassed him at iris and Barry's reception all Felicity broke off the engagement I understand why but when they get back together again Oliver wanted to marry her again when they were at the reception and Felicity had to yell ' I don't want to marry you Oliver ' she could have said it quietly to Ollie but she had to yell at him he loves her so much and she doesn't deserve any of it but he still loves her and all she can do is be the negative one in the relationship . Iris , I didn't have a problem with her in the first 2 seasons but once she became Barry's girlfriend she thought that she was so important and they just needed her to join the team but she isn't even useful they could have left her as Barry's girlfriend but even then I don't think she fitted in the show that way in every movie and comic Barry and Iris have this amazing connection but in this show Barry's connection isn't with her I think that Barry shouldn't have her as a wife but have Caitlin . Yes Caitlin and Ronnie were the best couple but they killed him off she did say in the early seasons that she needed to fid someone new to get crazy for we all knew she was talking about Barry and their friend ship is so amazing and they can talk about anything . Once they started to make Iris important I stopped watching the show I only watched clips they show too much of her once Barry goes in to the speed force . Those are my reasons to why I dislike Iris and Felicity there are way more but theses are my main reasons why .
Felicity complains to Ovilever about everything he does, like with his son. He didn't tell her for good reason and got angry over sending him away to keep him safe, even though it had nothing to do with her. Iris was fine but got so annoying, she became a main character for no reason and was so boring. Also the "we are the Flash" thing was stupid. In other word Laurel should have been with Oliver because they had more chemistry (even Cupid did) with Oliver. Then Caitlen (I'm not sure if that's spelt right) and Barry should have been together. They just made them both unbearable

The Black Canary story is Arrow's real and lasting crime and failure. I was expecting to go on this amazing journey of watching Dinah Lance go from average attorney to badass metahuman superhero. Instead her title is treated like nothing more than a series of knockoff Robins.
Now it's like the universe is trying to play damage control with both a new unneeded Black Canary along with a new Earth-2 Dinah Lance.

Bob Pickleson All that I know but Sara Lance was already serving as the original Dinah Drake adaptation in the show anyway and the mantle had already been passed down to Laurel making everything Dinah Drake does later seem like a knockoff of either Sara or Laurel. The story wasnt about simply passing down a mantle, it was about family legacy and Drake isn't family and didn't even know Sara or Laurel making her actually look a bit stupid for taking on a name because some strange guy told her she should.
Killing off Black Canary just as she was getting good only to immediately replace her with a knockoff also didn't do the show any favors considering it already had a bad reputation over how it writes women. Then the show actually had the audacity to act as though Laurel had been this amazing and fullfilled superhero when she actually had just gotten started and wasn't even given a grand heroic death.

Laurel became black canary in season 3, she could have been in central city working on a case (which actually makes sense!) and then given the Powers after the accelerator explosion. Then she would go out in secret and fight off people. Then her and Green arrow would meet and he falls for Black Canary who he later learns to actually be Laurel. Just saying arrow knows what they did and they know it ruined the show. The three best seasons of the show (1,2,5) are the best, you know why because their isn’t any olicity drama. And if they want olicity that don’t have to do it in a way that makes us hate it so much

1 - They destroyed the "Black Canary" character ("Dinah" Laurel Lance) and her relationship with "Green Arrow" (They are my favorite comic book couple)
2 - Oliver is too "Bruce Wayne-ish"... Always serious and brooding... Where is the Green Arrow from the comics? With his sense of humor and jokes?

We got to see the bad a** Oliver Queen from the first 3 season turn into a stay at home wife for felicity who cooked meals and has brunch with her mom. And the down to earth gritty story telling get turned into a watered down show about mysticism with snarky one liners. And the flash backs omg from mercenaries and super soldiers to hill Billy’s and discount drug farms yep that’s evolutionary writing if ever I saw it. So the next time you want to talk bs about season 4 remember what I told you here.

Season 4 had some good parts, Sara comes back and that’s how she joins Legends, Constantine shows for 1 episode, Thea’s progress since her death. Flaws: Laurel dies? Really? Should’ve killed Felicity instead, would’ve make sense. After everything Oliver has been through and losing the girl of her dreams was a bad move. Making Darhk invincible for too damn long or too soon was also something people didn’t like.

Season 4 was horrible i agree.
The biggest offenses to me are number 1(ironic considering my name on here) and number 3. A big problem in DC is that heroes not named Batman, Superman, or Wonder Woman rarely stand out, by making Arrow a reflection of Batman it only enhances my point. Black Canary is one of the most important characters to the Green Arrow mythos, so doing what they have done with her character, only takes away from the real Green Arrow's character more I feel.
In "The Longbow Hunters" trilogy from the 80s, Oliver was a darker person like you see in the show. As well, it's one of few comic series before the show where he wears a hood and not a hat; his suit looked a lot like it did in Season 1 of "Arrow." However, he still has the facial hair in "The Longbow Hunters," unlike the show.

Arrow didn't get anything wrong from green Arrow because the show isn't a straight up adaption, it's a else-world story like every other DC related TV show, none of them, Smallville, Supergirl, Gotham, Arrow or Flash stick exactly to the comics.

In the episode where he is drugged with vertigo (season 1) he takes on all of the Count's thugs without the bow, and well dizzy/disoriented. There is also the hallway scene where he rescues Walter and hears the guy with the gun before he turns the corner.

It was just a stupid-ass desicision because CW exes thought that people wanted grimdark gritty. But they missed the mark horribly. AND they went out of their way to be SOOOPER REALISTIC!!!!!tm at the beginning of the show. As a result, I didn't get past season 1 before I stopped watching out of pure disgust.

I remember getting on board late, binging it after The Netflix started showing it, and my reaction was pretty much the same for the entire four seasons I could actually get through. I asked my friends who had been onboard since the beginning, “I’m not the only one watching to see who gets revealed next, am I?” And the answer was always “yes.” I watch Flash to see Flash being Flash, I watched Arrow to see Barry become Flash, Slade become Deathstroke, Lance become Canary, and Ray become Iron Man.

Honestly I stop watching Arrow this season just couldn't stomach it anymore. If I wanna watch Batman then I would watch the Dark Knight trilogy. It's funny that Stephen Amell played or voice a very good Green Arrow in Injustice: Gods Among Us. Other than that he makes a very convincing Batman with a bow.
6 seasons of watching arrow and THIS season is what you could not take anymore? Dark knight trilogy is only 3 movies, arrow is an on going tv show..I am aware arrow has many problems but I like that the cw shows all feel connected unlike in the netflix universe where they just make references to the movie characters and barely show up in each others shows

He did use the boxing glove arrow in one episode. Oliver has money again now that he is mayor. He has a beard too, although it's not as long as the comic version. There is humor, it's just more dry and sarcastic, and less "quippy".

People keep bringing up the fact that Black Canary isn't with Oliver in the show but people tend to forget that Katie Cassidy and Stephen Amell weren't just a good fit, even in the beginning. Their chemistry in Season 1 was non existent (Amell had a better run with Caity "White Canary" Lotz in Season 2) and she (Katie) was constantly being requested to be replaced by another actress by the fans, which ironically, only became her avid supporters when she was killed off in Season 4.
Honestly though, people loathe Felicity (I also do at times), but who else is there to pick from? As I said, Caity Lotz was the only one I could say was perfect for Amell's Oliver, and now she's on Legends.

Actually, the Batman comparisons are pretty much spot on. The Golden Age Green Arrow had a LOT in common with Batman, including an Arrowcave, Arrowcar and Arrowplane.

Yeah Bro, I love Arrow, but I'll never forgive the writers for what they did to Oliver and Laurel. They're one of the biggest couples in the DC Universe. And I don't hate Felicity, but she was funny as a friend. But she started to get annoying, when she turned into a love interest, they constantly broke up. Oliver and Laurel were had been lovebirds their entire lives. There was nothing stopping them. Oliver and Laurel literally got back together even after he came back.

Murdock lucky for me i’m not coming from the comics so i can enjoy without expectations. i do tend to stay away from movies or tv shows that i don’t feel i can go into with an open mind tho. i feel that’s setting myself up for disappointment. and while i’m sure it’s really fun for fans to have a faithful adaption, you have to admit that a lot of content simply doesn’t translate across mediums.

You can't really make this video. Arrow was loosely based off of the comic Arrow, and was a new direction in Green Arrow. You can say Season 4 was comparable but nobody wants to watch that.
i think point 3-5 is ok, they are just things they changed, and not things they got wrong, the hooded costume was also part of the green arrow comics, so I dont see it as something they got wrong. I think the thing they really got wrong, i agree with would be point 2, that was very very bad, they got it so wrong, olicity killed season 4 and damaged the show so badly to the point where the show might have no return, and replacing such an iconic dc couple with olicity at the same time killing off the black canary in that season really rubbed the comic book fans the wrong way. Point 1 I do understand, but alot of people fail to realise is that there is a gritty and dark storyline in the arrow comics like the longbow hunters story arc and mike drells run in the last 1980s. That period in time shows a green arrow that was gritty and gadgets and all were thrown our the window all thats left is good old fashion archery. At the same time a green arrow that was torment by the fact that he killed a man(like the man who was torturing black canary), which led to him killing his enemies at times. So yeah he wasnt always the light hearted and happy go lucky kinda guy. True brooding is more of a batman kinda thing, but people always seems to forget green arrow has that dark side to him as well. I do agree though shado and roy harper were characters that were very interesting and characters who had a lot more potential which the show failed to tap into.
I get that Green Arrow doesn’t have the best rogues gallery, but I found it so jarring how many of his foes in the show were Batman villains.
They need to end olicity for good and start working on Oliver and Dinah I mean they didn't introduce her for not reason

The costume in the series is more like the costume from Mike Grell's Green Arrow run in the 80's.
He was the first one to change the costume, gave him a hoodie instead of a hat.
Grell really redefined the character, making him darker and grittier, and was also the first to make the character kill in the comics.
The character (in season 1 & 2 for the most part) is really based on Grell's Green Arrow.
So you see, there's really nothing that they got "wrong" with the show regarding the costume.

Season 1 Felicity was a godsend to the Arrow program otherwise it would have been never ending grim dark without a single ray of humor.
As it was, her first scene with Oliver was probably the first time both the actor and the character had a genuine smile during the series.
With the right writing the Oliver Felicity relationship is quite fun to watch.
Batman isn’t the only one allowed to have Ra’s al Ghul as a villain. He’s a villain for the whole DC universe.

This should not be titled “Top 5 Things Arrow has Gotten Wrong About Green Arrow.” Arrow is taking its own spin on the source material, essentially creating there own universe. In many ways, this is good as we get to see a lot of originality. So don’t say that the differences between Arrow and the comics are bad. That’s like saying every small difference between the LotR films or Harry Potter films and their book counterparts are bad.
I guess the most iconic couple in comic books (Black Canary and Green Arrow) was a small change wasn’t it?
