A Day Without Nature Is Just Half A Life! Great insight! sure it gives some comfort to those who are struggling for their own answer's of self guidance... Well Done! 🍻👍

i grew up the same way you did, i grew up in a small rural town in rural pennsylvania. ive lived in 2 major cities, Washington DC and Atlanta myself. i lived in Atlanta for 3 years and i have a LOT of love for that city. it grew me so much and a lot of friendships were made in Atlanta and times spent in EAV or going to my buddys place in Midtown or Gresham Park for movie nights or up in Marietta at andrettis but there was a lot of times i saw myself trying to escape the city and going up to Helen or Blue Ridge. Now im all the way over here in Alaska and taking it back to small town living. id like for one day to explore cities outside of the united states. crazy

And yet again I connect with what you are saying. I feel so happy in small communities and the outdoors in the USA as well. But in other places in the world I can feel good in the cities. I have found out in my travels that human connection is super important to me and a sense of community. And in the US (especially big cities) the culture is more individualistic, everybody is kind of doing their thing and focused too much at work instead of having that work life balance. And many people because of this feel lonely. They connect but with their small group of friends but not in a community or more collective way. Whereas in smaller town there is more of that sense of community and the pace is slower so people can connect better. I still think that in other cultures like let’s say Italy, because of that sense of community and work/life balance values, one can still enjoy the camaraderie of people even in big cities. However I think that the walkable cities have this charm more so than the spread out cities. There is something intimate that connects you to other beings when is more of a walkable city.

So inspiring message. I felt stuck in process so many times that I began to think that I will mess up any other new project, which led to not doing anything for a clients... even for myself as a passion. I realized that after every decision in life there is another one, that may turn your whole situation around and bring you joy that you've missed so much. Good luck with your new chapter! :)

I think the utopic state would be to be content and happy regardless of the external pressures and environment. Is super hard to get there. I think this comes with experiences and age. With age comes more perspectives. And that ultimate goal is to be content with one self in almost any environment bc is our thoughts and perspectives what would drive that internal reality. In the meantime we continue in search of happiness and contentment sometimes outwardly and hopefully leaning towards more inwardly.
A good question would be, if one lived in a jail cell, can one find contentment? Perhaps if you are like a Guru and one really works on having a super mind then all our reality would be in our thoughts. But this would be an extreme situation.
