Himachal Pradesh specially upper Shimla area 90 percent of people are into horticulture and agriculture because of this economy of the state is very much higher than any other state of the country . It can be reflected by the lifestyle of the people of the HP. Many people after completing their education takeover the farm business . HP has highest per capita income. Rich culture , lifestyle and tradition is what people are carrying forward in the state . It is India's only state where 90% people live in rural area and are most prosperous. Commendable development because of, off season vegetable , agriculture and horticulture has made HP one of the developed state of the country irrespective of harsh climatic conditions and terrain .Rightly described as Fruit bowl of India.

Very beautiful Orchard. Suyash, hum log tho yaha apples itni daam se kharidte hai. Five varities of apples yaha hame milte hai aur rate hote hai 250, 280, 330 rupees. It's so surprising to hear the rate of apples out there aur Uncleji ne apples ki bare mein itni achi tarike se jaankari di, thank you. ये अलग अलग रेट के होते हैं, कुछ महँगे ही होते हैं। जो 9-10 रूपये किलो वाले बोले वह मंडी वाले वेस्ट वाले लेते हैं, जो मंडी में बिक नहीं पाते। इसका अचार व जेम बनाने में प्रयोग होता है।
