The second verse is my favourite. It does an excellent job highlighting Kyoko’s inner conflict. I also really love when the metaphorical speaker of the song switches to Yasuhiro and ‘his’ lyrics try to reassure Kyoko that there can be a desirable outcome, either her overcoming her innate skepticism and trusting people, and/or just solving the class trials. As the next line states, the ultimate detective’s role is to expose the blackened.

this song is basically death note and how light views the world heres my quick analysis of this song: “what do you desire” rings in my war like a lie somehow my world seems to have been bugged. this is in reference to when Light first gets the death note, ryuk asking him “what do you desire? what r u gonna do with it?” his world being bugged represents corruption and his desire to become ‘god’
