Thank you so much! I work hard to prepare for each video and try to keep it fun and actually show the parts I'm referring to. After some time reflecting it's cool to post a writeup with even more insights, lots of work but these things cost lots of money ;)
A couple of commentators down below ask if the "bike guy" could be any dorkier. My response was "We love Court. We want our guy with the tape measure and calipers to be a little dorky!"
Wonder how this compares to something like the Razor Ecosmart Electric Scooter. Also these are meant to be like those kick-scooters but with a seat and much much better tires. Not to be confused with mopeds or motor scooters. Which sadly unlike these most states now require a license or Class B endorsement to ride. Which is usually easier to get than a drivers license but still.
I have been in Shanghai for a few months, where electric scooters are one of the main modes of transportation, if you can’t afford a car. The markup in the US is crazy! That same scooter here in the 60v version is about $400.
Nice! Thanks for your patience, there are so many awesome bikes and electric scooters and stuff out there, doing my best :D any feedback on how to make reviews even better or like things I'm missing etc.?
I think you're do a great job on your views. I was actually thinking about getting this pacific scooter. But glad I waited for your review before I purchase. cause it's not going to fit in my apartment, to big. and it cost more than what I think it worth.
Fair enough! It's true that this thing is large and heavy, I like the style but you don't get lights, turn signals or any storage so there are some real trade-offs compared to other offerings in the similar price range :)
Me too! Wish we had more time... I'm guessing it would do fairly well, here's a fat bike I just reviewed on sand that weighed about half as much but had tires that were half as wide! We lowered the air pressure to around 7 PSI and it really helped electricbikereview.com/voltbike/yukon-750/
Well here you go kinda. Look at this video and you'll get some kinda idea on how fat tires do on sand. Check out 2:19 in the video below>>> th-cam.com/video/T6KyzOQrIZU/w-d-xo.html
Just got your motorcycle license? Congrats! Hope there is a Zero Motorcycle review in the future! Would love to see you do a review of one of those, its been on my maybe list for a long time.
Thanks! There's lots of cool stuff on the way... I post a little slower to this channel vs. ElectricBikeReview but haven't forgotten about it, some site updates are in the works too :D
paul young. You are right my friend bought 2 electric scooters for about $700.00 each lights and mirrors. But they broke and there was no place that could repair them. So she gave them to her car mechanic. They are just collecting dust in the corner.
Paid $800 for a similar electric seated scooter here in Ecuador. Reliability can be an issue. Mine has no suspension either. Front shocks would be really helpful.
Someone asked if that guy was stealing a bike when the Fed Ex truck pulled up. I doubt they'd leave bikes that are unattended unlocked right in front of the store. If they did they'd be asking for a lot of trouble. I've seen this type of display--arrangement & they had a long & pretty thick chain connecting several bikes. So my guess is that it is either his bike or he's made prior arrangements with the store to test drive it. This is based on what I've seen @ 8:27 in.
Awesome review but you should do a Phat scooter review. Basically the same but I see a lot of the celebrities and ball players buying them for teammates and a lot more customization!
Did you sell one to a customer in London U.K? I live in a small town called Beckenham, Kent about 9 miles from the city. I see a guy ride one of these down my road every day. He has the white and black. This is an amazing peice of kit.
Yeah, the style is pretty on... Just finished writing a more complete review after I had some time to reflect and finish the video: electricridereview.com/ssr-motorsports/seev-800/ is there anything you felt like was missing from this video? Time was limited but I tried to pack the most important stuff in :)
Yes I agree.People buying chinese products dirt cheap then import it into the US and charge 2 or 3 sometime 4 times what they payed. It gives e bikes a bad name cause some poor guy payed 4 grand for a piece of junk that he could have bought for a fraction of the price then a year later the battery takes a dump and a replacement cost 2 grand while the resale value of the bike is 500 if you are lucky that you just payed 4k for a year ago. All these dicks trying to get rich off each bike are hurting the e bike community leaving many to believe e bikes are overpriced pieces of junk.
nice, but in my case I would need more leg space. I am about the size of the guy test riding it, but I would feel like my leg is crammed in too much. I wanted to get an electric scooter so I didn't need to register/insure it. But will probably have to go with a gas scooter model that I was looking at that has way more leg space so you can stretch your leg out forward
Love the idea of this and also looks o cool. I remember as a kid I always wanted the Raleigh chopper that my friend had but sadly never go around to it. However this excites me in the same way :-)
Hey guys, can anyone provide advice on the importing of these things. I am being told that getting the batteries out of China can be a chore. Does anyone have contacts or experience with importing them?
Hi I´m looking to buy several segways or electric byke or similar for a tour operator located in Quito Ecuador, this is a city full of hills, so as for elder people I find s segway would be the solution since Quito Oldtown is actually a pedestrian only zone, is the any reccomendation on which segway would be suitable for uphills (45° )down hills on pavement and coblestone roads? My Schwann stealth 1000 will go 20 mph. I use an app on iPhone to measure speed. Works off of gps I guess. It has 3 12 volt batteries, but this is so much nicer. The other site said 50kmh.
Badass! An aluminum frame would vastly reduce the weight of that thing and improve the overall ride making it quicker (0-20), and faster (top end) as well as improving battery longevity. I love this thing and think it would make a great replacement for my Go-ped. It surprises me that this design wasn’t an American idea first, but I think the Asians have been doing it a lot longer if not more than the US so maybe they have more evolved ideas on what’s next and cool in the market, and with that being said they (China) also make a whole lot of absolute junk.
There are millions of these in China and the prices are from $300.00 to $500.00. They are great inexpensive transportation. I paid $350.00 for mine in China and drove it for one year.
Ya I have one when it needed a new battery be ready for a $500 bill. The the fat tires are cool but it's more for fashion than function when it comes to handling.
Re: motorbike license If you're struggling and "pushing" the outside bar to get into the turns, it's not surprising that you're struggling (your mind is fighting the counter intuitive physics), you should be pushing the outside bar and when you want to stand the bike up (like flicking it quick through "S" bends) you push on the inside bar It's called counter steering and you have to do it whether you think so or not, it's physics Try this... Roll along the road (when it's clear) at a low speed, hardly touching bars, give a very tiny little push on the left bar (I do mean tiny), your brain may well be thinking that you'll turn right but you won't in fact the bike will turn left The way a bike steers is by leaning over so it's running on the outside of the tyre which has a smaller circumference, the only time you "steer" the bike by turning the bars in the direction you want to go is when you're wheeling it around the garage/drive
Yes but apparently the wide flat tyres mean you really have to lean into turns, to get it to corner, so not sure you're entirely right in this case. I've never ridden one, just heard reviews saying that.
Yeah, the future of transportation is looking so cool, there was another scooter like this on a crowd funding site recently with self balancing and a cool app, excited to see that someday too, it looked very similar :D
Wow, you're right... amzn.to/2ceFYfB I'm surprised it costs more online? Maybe that helps shops like Sam so people go there and get support vs. SSR having to do it?
U r reviews are always a pleasure to watch , all the main points were briefed in such a short span of time ..good review.
Needs at least 6" clearance for all terrain, and 1500 watts for sand ,and off-road.

did that guy just steal that scooter at 6:52?
I was thinking that too
It's the imax at 9:40.
Carlospicywiener lol yeah he did.. Damn
looks like it to me.
It weighs about a 100lbs and I’m pretty sure that bike thieves can lift it and put in back of a pickup...?
I saw a blue one of these in France once when I was on holiday. Actually looked pretty quick to be fair.
Wow im so glad you brought your tape measure and calipers. Don't forget the thermometer on the next review.
Yes, I've been waiting for you to review this!!

We love your reviews! Keep it up.

Shit, that price man, the regular price of those, before they put their branding on is anywhere between $400 and $500.
paul young. You are right my friend bought 2 electric scooters for about $700.00 each lights and mirrors. But they broke and there was no place that could repair them. So she gave them to her car mechanic. They are just collecting dust in the corner.
Yeah total rip off
There is something similar called the mototec fatboy electric scooter it's less than 600
paul young 9
You can search for "alibaba 18*9.5 electric scooter" - it looks like it's available for pretty darn cheap (but no support or warranty obviously)
Paid $800 for a similar electric seated scooter here in Ecuador. Reliability can be an issue. Mine has no suspension either. Front shocks would be really helpful.
Why is the reliability an issue? Im planning on buying one
Solar chargable and can it climb a hill? If so, potentially a clean and usable short commute ride.

are there any shock absorbers on the front ? somehow I don't understand how the scooter will absorb ditches, bumps etc. shed some light
Where is the retail shop this was filmed at?
Awesome review but you should do a Phat scooter review. Basically the same but I see a lot of the celebrities and ball players buying them for teammates and a lot more customization!
Is there a problem with scraping the battery if you go over shopping centre speed bumps?
The low T guy is like "you know.. it might be metal" 2:24 Nice vid!

I see a guy ride one of these down my road every day.
He has the white and black.
This is an amazing peice of kit.
I have emiocycles version of this and I was wonder is there a way to make it a little faster?
What version of maui jims are those glasses. Stingray?
good that you got your helmet with you!
For $1,599, should'nt it at least come with front and rear shocks, a spedometor, and a headlight?? And why could'nt the tires be thick tubeless tires?
Is it waterproof?I mean the battery,if it gets immersed in water say a street flood, will it endure?
Have you reviewed the phat scooter? I am want to order a fat tire scooter and there is a ton of options. I want to get the best one.
Is there a reason why you always wear your helmet? Just curious
Scraping the paint of the frame in a turn at 20mph ... rightttttt.. maybe if you hit a curb or something..
Hey Court, am I right in assuming it's a hub motor mounted in the rim yeah?..
It looks cool (harley category) , hope to see the full review soon .

I bought this seev800 what the rule for me in Los Angeles can I ride this in bike lanes...?...need help with info new to this thank you
What's the passenger weight limit?
What's the range?
How long does it take to charge?
Any caught on fire?
Hey Cord :) I'm really pleased to see the price of electric scooters going sub 2k Dollars. They have always been overpriced IMHO
Yes I agree.People buying chinese products dirt cheap then import it into the US and charge 2 or 3 sometime 4 times what they payed.

harry guy I agree strongly !
can we customize the tires like 5" wide is kinda sexy and hope there are accessories also.
how much load it can carry?
Can you go on the bike trails or you need to go street?
nice, but in my case I would need more leg space. I am about the size of the guy test riding it, but I would feel like my leg is crammed in too much. You gonna scratch the bottom if you go up sidewalks or something. The battery should be on the upper side of the frame.
build your own and sell it then..
Can you do review on that classic Vespa type scooter on Myron's shop? It has been a while since you have done review on large scooter type rides. :-)
US laws?? Requires a tag/registration in Florida USA? Can you drive this on the sidewalk? Where is the battery?
I wonder how much it would cost to get it shipped to Portland Oregon hope somebody reads this
really love it, but is this road legal? and how does people deal with it?
Hey, where can I buy one of those in the USA?
can you make review of some cheap chinese scooters with 1000 watts motor?
You dont want anything under 1500w if you dont want to walk uphill 😉
how many miles will the battery last?
Xandie C. i dont know how its will in miles but 50km distance
Does this require any kind of license to drive on the street?
Is there any ani theft or if I take this to a park ans set it down anyone can just turn it on and run with it
Is there a store in Quebec ??
Nice video I thinking to get one it's save environment i ask if there is extra battery thanks
Cam you review the dualtron ultra?
Love the idea of this and also looks o cool. I remember as a kid I always wanted the Raleigh chopper that my friend had but sadly never go around to it. However this excites me in the same way :-)
Very impressive design s and things that are made to look so simple very interesting thankyou

Where I can buy this scooter in Canada?
How does it perform on a hill climb?
Cort
Would love to see more detailed review if this
do you need a driving license 4 it in uk ?
Does it have a reverse ?
Is it self-balancing?
Overpriced for the low power motor. Wouldn’t kill them to make it 1600-2000 Watts at the same price point, and I’m sure they’d sell way more.
What's the range and full charge time
Looks awsome. Where I live it costs 1000$ for the 40km max version !
Will it go up hills??
you should review the cycleboard.
where can buy wheels like these?
HEALD 1970's Bronc and super bronc ....thanks for reviewing.
How much does it cost. Where can I buy one
Fry's Electronics has some cheap ones
What's the nominal range?
$2000 no, i'll rather get ruckus
Pao Xiong good luck
it performs the same and you can save on gas so
@@moosemechanic4591 top speed is not the same so it does not perform the same
Moose Mechanic lol I literally ride my ruckus everyday and I’m always in the 30’s and sometimes 40+ with a tiny decline
Moose Mechanic yeah I’m 5’11 170lbs. People are getting fatter and fatter these days lmao
My Schwann stealth 1000 will go 20 mph. I use an app on iPhone to measure speed. Works off of gps I guess. It has 3 12 volt batteries, but this is so much nicer. The other site said 50kmh.
What is topspeed
what's the range fully charged?
Depends on a lot of factors like rider weight, terrain with hills vs. flat and even wind. I'd say 20+ miles easy, their website says 50 miles
Anyone knows how to make this thing go faster? I have one...

How fast it is?
This is really a good electric scooter! I live it!! Really, hehe
How are we going to buy this?
I guess the German company scroozer sold there idea...awesome product and review
Is it waterproof?
It doesn't fold??

Do you need a license to ride one of those?
No
APP sauce I mean in NYC
Australian distribution yet ?
Try looking up Kush Skeezer or Steezer something like that in Oz
i got a swagcycle for 380 and you can pop it in your trunk. It weighs 29 lbs. Good luck with this monster.
Do u need a license for this?
