I got a 2019 Husqvarna TE 300i and did not know the Speedo took a battery. My trip meter just started going crazy on me. There was an icon that said low battery. I also have KTM XC 250 and XC 350-F but obviously no speedo on those. Great vid thx mate.

No worries mate when I got my bike mine was dead flat I thought something was broken, had no idea there was a battery in there. KTM does some weird shit 😁

Any tips for my speedo that wont stay on whime driving? I’ve changed the battery and checked a few things but no luck… it has a ignition switch assembled, mabey thats something to do with it?

Mine would turn off if the front wheel wasn't turning, so maybe your speed sensor is faulty...
@@MVDBR after a hard research session i found out as you say that if the front wheel isn’t turning if shuts off when no activity ( my speed cable has failed so thats why! )
Does the light in the speedo go off when the batteri is dead?
Possibly mate I really can't remember it's been a while since I owned this bike. Pretty sure the light runs off the bike power though.
Does your hours still clock up if your battery goes flat
Yeah hour meter and odometer still works as normal just doesn't save trip meter or other settings, and you can't turn it on with the bike engine not running. Cheers

Your PC also has a battery like that to keep the clock and some other settings when the main power is cut off. I'm sure there's good reason why they couldn't just rely on the main battery for some functions. Developing complex products is extremely difficult.
My Honda has one of these speedos fitted to it as well. It turns on but it doesn't register the speed at all. All the wiring looks good and the magnet etc. is clean. Do you think replacing the small battery on the back will fix it?

So if the hour meter is out of power you will loose the hours or they get stored in ecu and when you put the new battery they will show updated? thx great video
Hours are kept even when battery is dead yes, not sure if in the ecu or in the instrument panel somehow. But it all keeps clicking over when the bike is running, regardless

It amuses me that there's always someone that comments on shit like that haha. But yes I don't know you would have to ask the previous owner, we've only had the bike about 6 months and Nat's put most of those hours on it in that time 😁

It wasnt my intention to make you angry. I fought you own bike for 3 years. Probobly previous owner wasnt running odometer :/. I was expecting answers like: " i'm married" or so ;P
Amused not angry mate :) You never really know when you buy a used bike but it looked to be in brand new condition. Some people think they want to get into riding and buy a brand new bike and don't end up using it much and end up selling it. Maybe this doesn't happen where you live but here it's quite common. Anyway married... yeah it's the wife's bike in case you didn't pick up on that 😅
@@MVDBR defenetly not happening here. Due to our poor economy and income we pay 4 times more then everybody else (i live in poland where avrage payment is about 500$). That is why we often see bikes with 100h on metter but actualy riden 300 or more. Poor english aswell ;) didnt understand at first.
