Shit. Now this is why I don't want to go to Korea. I was in Europe teaching English and the housing was way better than this place. The rent wasn't free but it was good housing. If I were in Korea, I wouldn't take their housing at all. I'd just pay for one myself, and only if it looks good.
Really cute apartment! You've really made it your home (: Thanks so much for this tour! Now I know a little bit more of what to expect if I live a bit farther out of the city.
I hope to move there as soon as possible! I'm still working towards my degree but Korea has been my dream for a while so I'm trying everything I can to get there faster haha. I'd totally love to see more videos from you, you have a great personality in front of the camera!
Wow, I really appreciate the encouragement! I have some plans, but these things take a lot of time~ as you know! I watched your channel trailer, which looks fantastic. You've got some great content going!
Haha thank you so much! Oh I totally get that, I'm not sure how some people can put out an amazing vlog every single day. It blows my mind haha! But I will be so psyched to see the next video in my subscriptions! Just remember, the only thing that really matters is that you're happy with your content. I have to remind myself of that here and there.
hey! I love your apartment 😊 you have made it look really homely! it's a really good size too! I guess ours is similar in size but a different layout... and your bathroom is way nicer as you would see on my tour haha!! it's great you have a storage room too! wow! looking forward to more of your uploads 😊😊 a big hello from Daegu 대구 ✌ 안녕!
Your Apartment looks amazing! I am going to be moving to South Korea in August to work as an english teacher and your comment about distance away from the city and the size of the apartment makes sense. How far away do you live from your campus that you work at?
You did an amazing job with the way you decorated and made use of your apartment. Dumb question perhaps, did you ever consider putting the bed in that storage room? Just curious!
Hi. i just came across your channel. Your apartment looks quite big. Can really transform into a gaming/entertainment cave. Hows the internet speed in korea? Looking forward to your new videos. Thanks for making youtube videos.
So cute!! You did a great job decorating, and wow! What a nice layout :) I am taking my TESOL now and hoping to move to Busan soon. I am trying to keep my apartment expectations low so that not matter what, it will be a pleasant surprise. Either way, I am so excited to move!! Any tips for the prep phase? :)
Hey! Just keep watching videos like these and check out all the blogs and vlogs you can about peoples' experiences. Everyone's experience is really unique, so there's no real way to know exactly what you're going to get! Good luck! :]
Thanks for the tour. Do your windows open? I would feel genuinely claustrophobic if I couldn't open up a window. I'd go mad. That's my one worry with housing.
The first night you came, it must have felt very weird and kind of.. well not exactly scary, but you know what i mean right? How did you learn to adjust in the new environment?
Thanks for watching! I used a recruiter called Adventure Teaching. I was toying with the idea of making a quick FAQ video about how I got my job, maybe it might answer more questions other people might have!
Wow, if I may ask, how did you get the chance to go to Korea, and teach there? I'm really curious about that... Greetings from Chile (Spanish is my mother tongue so I hope I got everything right)
How much have you been able to save? I heard that some people are able to save up to $17,000 a year and I'm hoping to be able to save that least since I have a master's degree and 16 years of experience.
It all depends on what job you have and how you choose to spend your money. I haven't really been actively saving but I don't spend like crazy. I have a few thousand saved up. On the other hand, I have some friends who live paycheck to paycheck here because they are frequently traveling on the weekends and going to events all the time. $17K in one year is a looooooooooooot. I wouldn't be able to save that with my pay rate unless I was living on the ramen diet and never left my house.
Your apartment is beautiful! I love the Red Velvet poster!
Thank you! It's not up in my new apartment but I'm still a huge Red Velvet fan. :]
You're super adorable. I dig the huge amount of decorations! Very cosy.
You did an excellent job of decorating; it is quite homey:)
Thank you! It's very.. eclectic you could say hahaha! Bright colors are definitely my thing.
I agree!!! I love the decor!!

Your apartment is super cute! I love the decorations you did!
Thank you!
I love your apartment❤ Your decorations are on point
I'm thrilled that you're a VIXX fan ❤
Really cute apartment! You've really made it your home (: Thanks so much for this tour! Now I know a little bit more of what to expect if I live a bit farther out of the city.
Hey, thank you so much for watching! Are you moving to Korea anytime soon?

When I lived in this apartment I lived about a 20-minute walk away from work, however at my new place work is only 2 minutes away.
it must be wicked nice to be so close to emart!
I have since then move away from that apartment, T T no more e-mart for me
You did an amazing job with the way you decorated and made use of your apartment.
Nice thing you also have e-mart right across the street your grocery solved :D
wowowow this video is so cute and well done! such a pleasure to watch!
Thank you so much! Still experimenting with the whole talking to the camera thing.. it's not as easy as it looks!
집 좋네 구경 잘 했어요~~~
편안한 보금자리~~~

Thanks Madi ^^ I am trying to find the balance of hearing what other people have experienced, and leaving some surprises to experience for myself :)
I came back to this video because I just got transferred to Anyang and I thought the apartment looked really familiar! ha!
Holy crap! Are you in my old apartment?
No, not 9th floor and not facing emart. It's identical to your old one except I don't have the extra room.
What is the rent of your room?
Oooh I love it!! So comfy in there. Did you paint the walls or they were that color to begin with? :)
It's wallpaper! It was already there when I moved in. :]
omg that tapestry is soo cute, where did you get it?
It was a gift from a friend, but I think they got it at a place called Earth Bound in our local mall!
May I ask what school you work for, or in the very least if you’re with a public school or Hagwon? Thanks!
How expensive are groceries?
Produce, fruits especially are waaaay more expensive than things back home, but most everything else isn't too much more.
Cool place!
red velvet, 4Minute😍😍
Are my biases showing?
Ladies Code!!!! Promote them as much as possible for me!!
Which city were you teaching at?
Also what city is this in?
Thanks for the tour. Do your windows open? I would feel genuinely claustrophobic if I couldn't open up a window. I'd go mad. That's my one worry with housing.
Yup! Both the smaller side windows opened up!
lockergr I'm sure if a place bothers to have Windows at least one would open?
The first night you came, it must have felt very weird and kind of.. well not exactly scary, but you know what i mean right? How did you learn to adjust in the new environment?
What city do you live in?! Love it! 😊
Hi Madi! This is an off subject question but did you complete the online 120 hour TEFL? if so how long did it take you and was it hard?
Hey Renee. I did do the 120 hour tefl. I did it over a few months, just about a lesson a week. It wasn't super challenging but it is time consuming.
Hello! i lived in Anyang as well! I saw your the newest video and you moved out..right??
Yeaaah I don't live in Anyang anymore!
Awesome video! Can't wait for more. How did you find your school? Did you use a program or recruiter?
Thanks for watching! I used a recruiter called Adventure Teaching. I was toying with the idea of making a quick FAQ video about how I got my job, maybe it might answer more questions other people might have!
No more toying, get to it! Jk. We would love to see that video :-) I have sooo many questions. Thx for the quick response.
What city is that?
you have to pay rents or the company pays it for you?
My company pays it for me!
You have a great personality and an attitude.
Enjoy your stay in Korea and stay safe. Can I
ask where you are from? U.S, Canada???
I'm from the US! thanks for watching. :]
Wow, if I may ask, how did you get the chance to go to Korea, and teach there? I'm really curious about that... Greetings from Chile (Spanish is my mother tongue so I hope I got everything right)
I wanted it, and I went for it! Check out my newest video to see how I got a job. :]
#SeriousApartmentEnvy LOL! Look at that bathroom! :o
Pretty luxurious, right? xDDD
Y don't u make that stroge room as ur bed room it 'll give u peace ful n privacy too. In living area u can add extra seaters for ur guest r frinds.
Also, how much do you pay in rent monthly? And, where's this??? I wanna look for an apartment there, I LOVE IT.
I paid 0$ for rent because my company paid it, but it's valued at about $600 a month. It's in Pyeongchon, Anyang!

The academy I work for set it up, it's all luck of the draw and which company you work for!

Were you reading a script while doing the tour?
Haha nope I don't use scripts!
then you are articulate lol.
사랑스럽다
I would have been insane because of the music....
I see 안양. Long way on Subway
한양 월드빌이구나?
Why wouldn’t you make the storage room a small bedroom and the place you have the bed just a nice big living room? Lol
jota
damn!! she is the most beautiful woman i have ever seen in a while ! those eyes !!
