I got the COPA Pure 3 about 3 months ago, and goodness me! These boots are a God-sent gift! As Jay Mike said, they mold themselves to the shape of the foot almost immediately, ideal for people with wide feet like myself, and my touches on the ball with them are so fantastically clean. Also, they are brilliant for making foot saves for goalkeepers, because the ball bounces up high every time it hits the inside of the boot! The new colour way is awesome, and I may decide to get it if I have a suitable shirt to pair the boots with! Thanks for uploading 😀
@charlielemon7371 These are made from calfskin. Anything whose material is genuine leather should score high on durability. The pair I got has been holding up really well for the 3 months I've had them. If you don't trust calfskin, you can try the COPA Mundial. These are made from Kangaroo leather, and people constantly recommend them for players who want boots that last.
I'm an old bugger ex keeper. My boot of choice was the World Cup 78. Personally, I prefer black boots but I get fashion thing. The WC 78's never let me down.
I'm glad that adidas finally listened to the bad reviews of the previous copa pure model, as there were a lot of bad reviews on the adidas website about the durability of the boots, with all of them breaking the top lace holes, I see that good changes have been made here and I'm hopeful that this problem will not happen again, and the paint on the leather was cracking and peeling, I think because of the bad reviews adidas decided to quickly rework this model
After this video I bought 2 pairs of the elites. And let me say, they were the best boots I ever wore. I play cb, and I can recommend them for cb and cm. They truly are the softest yet most durable shoes I think you can get. Great video!
How about your feet? Do you have wide feet? I ordered them and they just arrived. When I tried them on they felt very tight even though I got the same size that I had the Version 1's of. They're good in the length but the width just surprised me...
@@gemeindelebtundregelt5291 I find that most boots straight out of the box are going to be a little tight. Remember that’s how soccer boots are supposed to be. I would say for all boots you have to play for at least a week before you can really break in your shoes from that point, they are still going to feel a little tight, but that goes for all boots
@@huntinfishinlovineveryday Yeah.. I'm just scared, that I'll play with them for a couple weeks and they might get better but still squeeze my foot. I won't be able to send them back then. I'll just book half a size bisher and will see which ones fit better. Thanks for the response, though
@@gemeindelebtundregelt5291I can only talk about the Copa 1‘s and they are really good for wide feet. In most normal shoes I got a size 10/10.5 (or 44/44,5 in EU) and in the Copa 1‘s I‘ve got a 11 or 45 1/3. I played now 2 seasons in them and they are really comfortable for me because I‘ve got enough room for my wide forefoot. I bought the most expensive version of them and I‘m still happy. You need to take care a little bit if you buy them in the white version because they will get dirty pretty quickly. But that‘s the least problem. The first 2 weeks are a bit of a struggle if you don’t wear the right socks but I thinks that goes for the most shoes in general. Overall I would highly recommend the shoes if you have a normal to wide feet. If you got normal feet go true to size. If you have wide feet go a half size up for sure. Cheers!
Copa 2 seems to have borrowed many designs from Mizuno for me. The padding pattern reminds me of the old Mizuno Rebula and the knitted tongue looks like Mizuno Beta
I have the Copa Pure+, been wearing them for about 3 months twice a week and have found the upper is starting to split, the upper is also already splitting from the base, the lockdown on the + isn't awful but definitely not the best, especially when it's wet weather or you've been playing for a while and start to sweat
I just got new tiempos but nowadays every boot is built thin and narrow and today i tried Copa... Even my daily sport shoe is not gave that comfort ever to me. I am waiting for the cargo and i'll update when i got boots
I love your videos! I have these boots and I love them but the insole need to be replaced. Do you know where I can purchase the insolve, the sole that slips in the shoe? Also mine are SG Studs do you know where I can purchase the FG stud to convert them when needed?
I'm true to size in this one. Just like the last Copa, by the way. There, I say that I did go down half a size (they were test boots so only size I could get) but I'd recommend going true to size in that one as well. /Jay
I got the pure 2 elite version (maroon) and after 2 uses I can see the leather ripping around the base of the laces near the toe box. Did anyone else have that?
I don’t get the point of leather boots only having leather in forefoot, I don’t pass the ball with that part of my foot so if there’s no leather in the mid foot then it’s pretty pointless
Sorry to be off topic, but will you be reviewing the puma king top in k better ? I think you may have missed this, since the unisport site still claims they are made of leather !!!
I got copa senses two years ago and completely ripped apart in less than a year. gone to pumas and old boots, what is the durability like on both old and new pure's?
These look good but I'd still avoid the .1 model. I bought the previous generation and the tounge on one of the boots was hanging by only one stitch after 5-8 games. It looks like they haven't done anything to solve this based on how it looks.
my fear was they would make these closer to the chunky adidas copa icon - @jaymike would these still be a good choice for those who like a snug fit but nothing super chunky? Once things get chunky, I feel like you lose that connection with the ball 🥲
@@mater753s Sizing is tricky, I'll just tell everything i know;) With Nike Tiempo i am between 42 and 42.5 (EU). That corresponds to UK 7.5 and UK 8. I always had the problem of 42 (UK 7.5) being snuck which ultimately hurt my toes for the first month of breaking in and 42.5 (UK 8) feeling a bit loose in the toe box. What's already different with Mizuno is that the sizing chart is different for EU. So EU 42 corresponds to UK 8 (in stead of 7.5 with Nike). UK, US and JP (cm) seems to be consistent with Nike though, just EU conversion is weird. I have Mizuno Morelia Elite and Mizuno Morelia Neo Beta MIJ now. Most reviewers will say to buy the Neo Beta's in a smaller size and go TTS with the regular Morelia's. I bought the Morelia Elite first in EU 42 (UK 8) and I still think they are long. I don't remember if i tried the 41 (UK 7.5), but I kind of regret the sizing now. I feel like i lack some precision and can also not achieve the lockdown I like. They are super comfortable though and I am certain all my issues with the boot are due to wrong sizing. The Morelia Neo Beta i have in 41 (UK 7.5) and they are completely awesome and i think correct for me. I have genuinely wide feet and a high arch, but width was not an issue at all given the design of the upper. But even in 41 I have half a thumb space in the front. So my conclusion is to go at least half a size lower with both boots. I think that is consistent with for example Noah Cavanaugh who wears Tiempo in 27.5 (UK 8.5), Morelia in 27 (UK 8) and Morelia Neo Beta in 26.5 (UK 7.5). Hope this helps!

How's the durability?
Leather made football boots score high on durability, and this pair is no exception to this rule.
