Glad you had a blast. The Bike Park has a new trail boss and management has really put a lot of effort into making the mountain better for all skills.

They definitely did a great job. I look forward to returning next year. I live 4 hours away now but by opening time next year I’ll be an hour away 😂.

that rock roll on lower copperhead is actually easier than the ride around you did. I know it does not seem that way when standing there and looking at it. I'm planning to take my son out there August or September, I'm hoping all the trail maintenance is done by then and everything is back open again (Canebrake, normal upper green mamba line with rock wall). That jump line to the left of lower green mamba looks cool, it was not there last year.

The rock wall is open via upper black mamba

Less brakes will get you through those rocky areas better. But i know its your first time at the park. Try more front than back breaks without going otb. Itll keep your back tire from sliding around. Feels weird but once you get the hang of when to not touch the brakes you can get your weight forward a tad bit and that also helps with turning on berms leaning back to far in a berm is taking weight off the front wheel and that makes the bike feel like it dont wanna turn in my experience.

To force yourself to only brake when its dire i would intentionally point my brake fingers down the trail instead of letting them rest on the levers. It felt scary at first but theyre right there an inch away if needed.
