Bro? it's actually so good to see people who talk like me and look like the people who I grew up with, doing this on youtube. I don't fish at all but it was my Dad's trade in Viet Nam and like you he fishes and brings his catch home to eat, especially Mackeral! You somehow came up in his recommendations and I had to follow. Good luck from here fam 🙏🙏 also, your mum is a serious cook!!!
Thanks a lot bro I appreciate that comment a lot! Surprised you never got into fishing yourself. I feel like most people that fish got into cause their parents were into it. That’s why I feel like I got into it late cause I didn’t know anyone else doing it I kinda just stumbled across it haha. Glad you enjoyed the content though and thank you for the sub! Ima let my mum know haha she’ll be blushing I’m sure. Have a good day bro
Hi James. Wow what a video and how lucky are you having a mum who can cook like that I've subbed to her channel as well that mackerel was outstanding mate. Another fantastic video James well done. Looking forward to the next one. Take care pal 👍
Nah you’re not on your own haha. I fished dungeness one time before that was one of the first places I ever fished from the shore. It was either the first, second or third time I done shore fishing, couldn’t get ANY phone signal when fishing from there. And thank you mate appreciate it!
Brilliant video I’ve been waiting for this! Nice to see someone cook up in a different way to the standard ‘mackerel fried in butter with a squeeze of lemon’ I’m not a big fish eater but this made me hungry!
That looks mouth wateringly tasty, your mum is a fantastic cook by the looks of it bless her, we cook fried Jack mackeral using flour and baking powder to get it crispy and golden , I Noticed you put that comment in the vid , once again great vid mate , really enjoyed that , looking forward to the next one 👍 and be lucky
How cool was that, love the recipe and just think herbs grown at home and fish caught by you. We grow all our own vegetables and have some mean chillis. Brilliant cheers Paul 👍👍🐠🐠
Yeah it makes you feel a lot more proud of the meal when you know you caught and grew everything you ate, there’s definitely something about it! Hope you was able to reap a lot of veg this year, this was shot at my mums house but at mine I didn’t have much luck growing this year but 2022 will be my year haha 😂 Cheers for the constant support appreciate it!
@@thefishingbarrel6419 do you know if the mackerel are still around near hastings im looking at taking my kids down there on saturday and try and catch something.
@@Louisjp1875 I'm sorry mate I saw this comment late. Did you end up getting down there? Not sure if they wouldve been there or not to be honest but the best thing to always do before you wanna head to a certain location is 1) Call the local angling shops that you can find on google maps and ask them what its been fishing like and 2) Join fishing groups in the local area to where you want to fish as people tend to post their catches and experiences every day. Hope this helps for your future trips!
@@thefishingbarrel6419 dont worry mate. Ye we went down there. Never realised the high tide was at 21:45 so was no chance on any mackerel for us lol. Put a rod out with salted lug on and never even had a bite. Although i spoke to a guy who caught a dover sole. A long way to travel and not catch so will defo call the local shop next time 👍🏻
@@Louisjp1875 ahh well that’s fishing for you! To be fair most days I go fishing I don’t catch anything but that makes it all the more satisfying the days that you do catch
What's good mate , just seen your video of the rod tips knocking away on Facebook. Up for a link up at some point maybe come out on my boat ? Or we can just hit the shore fishing ? Sweet brother 🤝
Yes bro we definitely have to. A boat trip is sounding like a good shout, never even been boat fishing! I see you fish around the Kent area so gonna drop a comment on your page when I start fishing around the ways again.. I’m basically working my way along the coast towards that direction with my videos so will be reaching there soon! 😁
