Billy Jack was my first Bruce Lee; I loved and have the series of Billy Jack and I still watch them from time to time. Billy Jack was my hero and still is and I am now 69 years of age. RIP Billy and Delores. I will always remember you in my heart.
Amazing couple that lived a very profound life while showing how all people should treat others. Wish their movie Billy Jack would be played right now. It would be a wonderful example on how we should live.
I'm one senior citizen who is very familiar with Tom's movie 'Billy Jack'. This is one of the better movies in my vast movie collection. It came out in a time known for good movies with solid story lines that were easy to follow. I see Tom as a really gifted actor, of coarse with other skills also. All together, you have a very respectable artist that 'I' personally wish would've been in far more films than he actually did. I graciously thank him for his involvement in the entertainment he did bring us. For anyone who hasn't yet seen the movie 'Billy Jack', ...you must consider seeing the movie.
You know, it seems like more and more you see, or hear things that are not factual call dispatch on TH-cam and such. I don’t think it’s intentional most of the time but my God I would think I would do some research if I were gonna put something out there for millions of people to see.
ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!! Tom Laughlin died on December 12, 2013 of complications of pneumonia. However he also had inoperable tongue cancer and was in remission. Delores Taylor died March 23, 2018 of natural causes.
Tom was from Milwaukee, WI and died in 2013 from pneumonia. Delores passed away in 2013 at 85 from old age. It's so pathetic you make money off of total lies!! How disrespectful!!
Billy Jack was my child hood hero. People have asked me who my child hood hero was, I'd say Billy Jack, and they wouldn't have a clue as to who that was. Youngsters 😁😁😁
Thank You for sharing this documentary on a very talented and well accomplished actor. He was a hero of mine too! And yeah, sadly, many important, talented and/or special people sadly end up being forgotten :( But I Love Billy Jack! And even though I'm not dead yet, I'm kind of being forgotten already too. Mainly, that's b/c I'm now a disabled vet and am no longer dependable for steady gigs. So, no longer in the spotlight. But I used to have thousands of loving fans! Now I'm practically 'a ghost' on TH-cam :(
2:04 think about that dotty old aunt you've got that you see only at Christmas time and spends literally hours of your time talking about s**t that you don't understand, don't believe and really don't care about. That's her character in the Billy Jack movies.
Until seeing your video clip about Tom Laughlin and Delores Taylor, I knew he and his wife had passed away but I didn't know about the car accident. Much condolences to family and friends, even though it happened awhile ago they all have my condolences just the same. When it first came out I was a teenager, and yes I am a Native American and proud to be one. I think some of us wanted to be like Billy Jack, I know I did. I liked the movie for bringing an awareness of prejudices that still exist today. God be with Tom & Delores, amen.
True. And the first movie clips they were showing were not from the 1971 Billy Jack movie but were from the 1967 Born Losers movie where the character of Billy Jack is first introduced and takes on a violent motorcycle gang.
There seems to be a mistake on this - another video clip says that Tom Laughlin passed away peacefully in a hospital in california And Delores Taylor passed away a short time later - Neither was reported passing away in vehicle accident Perhaps you could explain this discrepancy
Its a great video but a minor error when they are talking about the Movie "The Legend of BillyJack" but are showing clips from a different Movie Named "The Born losers" which was the first movie that Introduced the Tom laughlin played Character "BillyJack" it was the first movie but didnt come close to being the Box office Hit as the Second Movie " The Legend of BillyJack and would have went almost unnoticed if not for the Second BillyJack flic which after its success they decided to then give the first one "The Born Losers" a second run once the BillyJack character had became so popular. In it Billy has to go up against a Outlaw Biker club " Born losers" that is terrorizing a small Town and eventually tries to Take it over Billy has recently returned from Vietnam serving as special forces. Billy and the Leader of the club he is up against have a long term acquaintance as they grew up together but took different paths in life. 😅
Tom and his wife Dolores, were an integral part of the 1970's film martial arts genre including Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris. Sadly, many of the famed martial arts practitioners including my Shotokan and Taekwondo masters, O Sensei, Masami Tsurouka and Park Jong Soo were also taken during 2013.
I saw this too. However, it didn't stop me from respectfully remembering him in the review I wrote. I went right past the bogus of this web page and shared my thoughts about the artist and his work. Tom and his wife are good people. The rest of us know this web page is speaking incorrectly.
