I'm certain that having this song playing while driving in the summer night with the stars out, transformers your car into a literal space ship traversing through the cosmos.
I love how every song fits so well with that image of space don't know if this can actually be justified with real similarities but this song reminded me of Glitch Mob and Justice
This song LITERALLY transports me to another dimension. The first time I heard it was on Pandora and I was HIGH ASFFFF, and it just HEIGHTENED EVERYTHING. This album was MADE to smoke to. I LOVE IT. This song is my Stoner anthem.
Discovering STRFKR's full catalogue is like going through q journey through space and time. Jst hearing this for the rirst time and its probably one of the best things ive ever heard. I knew afew of their songs but discovering them and Elderbrook at th same time has been like a flood of incredible music. Just bought tickets to see them in Asheville next month
@@williambrown8711 hell yea. I went to WCU but its been nearly a decade since I've returned to the area so I'm excited as hell. Orange Peel is my favorite venue in the world, no matter where you are you're close to the band. Last show I saw there was Moon Taxi right before I moved from Asheville
I am hooked. Always love obscure music & am better now w STRFKR playing thru my days & nights. So many perfect songs. Vox reminds me of Pheonix singer a bit too, not a bad thing @ all. Can't believe how under radar STRFKR still is
Closed my eyes, put headphones on, laid back. 0:00 - 0:21picturing a brightly lit carousel spinning clockwise with just a small abandoned amusement park surrounding it at midnight. No other lights just me, standing about 10 feet away watching it go round and round before being pulled into a shadowy void. 0:22 - 1:12 I’m now in what looks like a basket on the floor. My mind tells me to look over the edge. I can’t see the ground, I can only see the clouds. I look up, I’m now in a hot air balloon miles above any type of ground or even ocean, or anything for that matter. I look straight. Fireworks, bright colorful fireworks. Blowing up a few feet in front of me. The farther I go through the clouds, the more I can see. Soon I see what looks like small lights, they must be very very far away. It looks like a city or something I think to myself. But before I get close enough to see. I fall through the bottom of the hot air balloon. Unable to catch my self, I slip through into another void of darkness. Just falling. 1:15 - 1:23 As I fall farther into the void I start to see, what looks like, a road. Just a very long and straight road. But it’s like a baby blue color. As I fall faster and faster and faster. I finally fall through it, but not all the way. 1:23 - 2:08 I am now in a rectangular box that looks like I’m on spaceball 1 going plaid with ludicrous speed. It starts immediately pushing me straight through this tunnel but it has a downhill curve so I can’t see the end of it. 2:09 - 2:30 This bright beautiful tunnel starts to slowly fade into another darkness. But as the tunnel is fading, my eyes begin to adjust. I see a ring, a silver ring. Like the one from lord of the rings, but silver and no writing around it. It is just falling in slow motion. There is no other surroundings, just a ring, falling into more nothing. 2:30 - 2:33 The ring starts falling farther and faster down than I am. Slow but steady, as it turns into just a another speck. 2:33 - 3:40 And then, within seconds, milliseconds, my body falls straight onto, a sort of, futuristic style hyper-sport bike. Speeding down a freeway, no speedometer. It’s almost dawn. There’s rain clouds everywhere. The bike has no lights, no other cars. The only lights on are the street lamps along the freeway. The freeway is a very long and curvy road going around some mountains next to a big city. But even in the city the only lights that are on, are the street lights. As I am riding this bike my perspective moves farther and farther behind me. Like I’m in “3rd person.” 3:40 - 3:48 Farther and farther away I can just see the sun peeking over the horizon to the right of my “body,” as it rides the long curve on the freeway. 3:48 - 4:00 Clouds start to interrupt my vision. Closing in on my eyes. 4:02 - 4:36 I start to see a “box” style television with static. With the sound of it fading in. My eyes get closer and closer to the screen. 4:24 - 4:36 Suddenly, everything fades into the darkness again and I am awake. I don’t know why I decided to share this. I know my grammar is sugar honey iced tea. I’m just using the TH-cam comment section as a notebook.
It's crazy how people in completely different places at completely different times can share the experience of listening to a song as amazing as this in a thunderstorm; an extremely exhilarating combination
I came here after listening bands like Midnight, Toro y Mori, and Men I Trust... Where was this gem hidden! TH-cam had expanded my music horizon like never before!!!!!!
