      thank you my friend for sharing this with everyone, a lil tip, it works so much better if its fully charged, also if your car battery is dead, let the cables stay on the battery for a few mins before you try starting it,also it will start most 4 and v6s engines, but not a v8, nope, i carry one in each of my cars, just in case, i also use it to jump start my 4wheelers, works great,awesome halo air bolt,

    I just tried to jump start my granddaughters car. A light on the inside of the vehicle was left on all night, battery was sucked dry. Took my halo which was fully 100% charged, hooked up the cables, turned on the machine and nothing happened. The car didn't even try to start. Took out my old jumper cables, hooked them up to a battery and the car started up as if it had a brand new battery. Not too impressed with my halo.

      I had got one of these this last christmas. I have not had the chance to us it yet, however i have had some other brand ones, as well as my dad. what i have noticed bassed on the previous ones that i have used is that if the battery is low, or even very low they normally work pretty well. That said if a battery is just straight dead, as in the battery has almost 0 volts, then they dont work very well at all. lol you are better off getting an actual battery charger or jumper cables out. My most recent one that i had as well as the one that my dad currently has, both different brands. Had a box with a light built into the jumper cable attatchment. when you connected the cables to the jump starting units the light would keep blinking red. Then when you finished connecting the alligator clips to the battery a few seconds the light would change and light up solid green. You could also hear a click when it done that. sounded about like a relay. Until the light went green then no power went to the alligator clips. So the problems id ran into was that sometimes a battery was just to dead to ever trigger the light to turn green and trigger the relay. Basically the battery's are to dead for the jumpstarters to detect that it is hooked to a battery for it to finally start sending power to it.
      When i was using mine to start our tractor that had been parked for the winter, neither mine or my dad's would even try to start it. (small tractor btw) The battery was just dead for it to detect it was hooked up. In which case i just get the jumper cables out. There was one time that i couldnt get my vehicle into the shed close enough for my jumper cables to reach the tractor and i was able to hook a small 1.5a trickle charger to the battery then the small jump starter was able to detect some voltage and it then started the tractor right up.
      Like i said i havnt got to try my halo one out yet, but i would think that its the same as all the other ones i have used in the past.
      I always carry one of the small portable jumpers in my vehicle, as well as jumper cables just in case. If you go to walmart or somewhere shopping and leave your headlights on or something and you get back to the vehicle and its to dead to start but still have some voltage in the battery then the small jumpstarters work great. You may not always have someone around or someone around thats willing to help give you a boost even if you have jumper cables with you.

    • @dylanshanks4365
      @dylanshanks4365 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      After making the reply to you, i got to wondering if the halo done the same thing. without hooking it to a battery my multimeter can only detect 13.8mv from the halo. (.0135 volts) So its not really sending out volts until it detects that it is connected to a battery.
      the only small jump starter one that i have used that does not wait to send power until after it detects that its connected to a battery is a Brand (matco tools) Model (VERSAPRO2) Its my uncles. as soon as i connect the booster plug to the little booster my multimeter detects 12.35v without it hooked to a battery. I would hate to guess what he paid for it though.
      Hopfully some of this information is useful for you

      @@godgunsandkenny Something that I do to make sure that mine is always charged when i need it is that i always have it plugged up inside my vehicle to one of my 12v power outlets. Just make sure that it is plugged into an outlet that only has power when your ignition switch is turned on. That way every time i start my vehicle and am driving somewhere my jump starter pack is charging. when i get to where i am going and turn my car off then it stops charging the booster. If i leave my headlights on, and my battery gets low then i know my booster is 100% charged. Just make sure your power outlet you use is one that only have power when vehicle is on, or the booster will just keep charging at all times and could drain your cars battery.
