New information from a conversation many years ago between my Aunt May (Walter's daughter) and Mike Shaw, tells us that Walter started on the tips to the right of the road to Bentlawnt. This would have been adjacent to the piece of land that he leased. These tips were established directly across the B488 road from the East Roman Gravels (West Tankerville) mine not using the 3 level bridge. Apparently Walter could not permission to work the tips from the Roman Gravels mine, which used the 3 level bridge and had a different owner.

I have noticed that I said Edward Hillage Married Elenor Mager in 1933. This should of course been 1833.
I say that Bank Farm was bought in 1927. This is a slip, it was actually bought in 1921.
