11 minutes not 10, but yah, this used to be a pretty standard length. I think a lot of us, especially those who go back and watch those older LPs, are kinda sick of these egocentric idiots complaining about the video not killing enough time for them.
Ah yes... The dark days of TH-cam.. Chugga's videos were just as good back then even with TH-cam's time limit.

This type of mission makes me really appreciate the previous game. In the last iteration, you didn't have to deal with a time. You never felt stressed to get a better score. It was simply about exploring a haunted mansion.

If you ever do read this Chuggaa, or anyone else who reads this, here is a quick tip: If you use the dark light device on a ghost that is concealing their face long enough (apart from sunglasses greenies) they will taunt you, which causes them to show their eyes long enough to be flashed.
Granted you aren't preoccupied with another ghost when you do this that is.

Here's to another 10 (well, technically 8) years, Chuggaa! You will always hold a special place in my heart as you were the first TH-camr I ever subscribed to! I actually learned how to make a TH-cam account so I could stay updated on your videos. :) That was a long 6 years ago... Back when I wondered, "Who is this Emily everyone is talking about? Is that his sister? Girlfriend maybe?" Ha! Good times.
Coincidentally, Luigi's Mansion and Pikmin 2 were the first Let's Plays that I got to watch from start to finish while waiting for every new video. I guess we're all having our milestones!

As a kid I always had such difficulty with the original Luigis mansion but watching Emile's play through lets me appreciate what I loved about the games but could never quite master

Actually...yes I do complain about the puns. I still am a fan of Chuggaa...have been watching him since his mother 3 days (only skipped xenoblade cause i'm playing through it) and it always bothered me when did chuggaa transitioned to making so many puns.
I still like the guy but you can ask any long time fan that they're a bit stumped when he made the transition.

Emile, you can flash the Greenies that have some kind of shield by using your Dark-Light Device on them. They will be forced to taunt you, letting their guard down. This will save you a whole 3 seconds, but hey, you like speed-running tactics, don't you? And with that knowledge, you'll take care of these ghosts *in a flash!*

I prefer this game more than the original. (Not to say the original was bad) I felt it was a bit to short and compacted together. Yes, that's why the game is called Luigi's Mansion, but I feel that Dark Moon has a lot more to offer when it comes to having a more diverse map layout. You have the Gloomy Manor, Haunted Towers, etc. The only downside of this game is like Chugga said, some of the collectables could've been given more of a purpose like the gems or golden bones. But overall I say that I prefer Dark Moon over the original but really they're equal.

You know what? I appreciate your comment a lot. I love the original more than Dark Moon (mainly because of the collectables, boss ghosts, general difficulty of the game, and probably just pure nostalgia) but seeing how this game really is, its not too much different. This game, in it's own right, is actually pretty awesome. If only this was on console instead, I probably would of loved it even more. I just hope that in the next game Nintendo brings it over to console.
I think the gold bone adds 200 to your treasure total at the end of the mission if you don't use it. Also, I observed carefully multiple times while replaying missions for fun and it seems the minimum amount of treasure to make the gold bone appear is 200.

well good sir.. since you started these. i have been in the mood to play this game again, rather a great accomplishment, as monster hunter generations just came out and i have been spending most of my free time playing that, most of.. now the rest of my free time is spent in the scare scraper

The things you do may not see like much to some but to us, to this community, that praise is earned, i was gone on vacation with my folks for awhile with little access to you tube and i just learned of teddys passing. The multiplayer for this game is actully super fun, I played it a ton back when I got the game, I totally forgot about it and I actully never finished the game. This let's play is kinda making me think about going back to it.

Another tip from me. Everytime you find a Greenie that uses something to shield themselves from the Strobe Light, use your Dark Light Device. They will taunt us and temporarily let their guard down, giving us a chance to flash them with Strobe Light.
I love the paranormal infestation music and a specific chaos mission near the end of the game. even though the tune plays a lot in this game like on the piano in the first big headed poltergeist mission in the mansion 1 library.
My Records For Gradual Infiltration: Fastest Time: 2 min 36 sec. Ghouls Caught: 25. Least Heath Lost: 0. Most Gold found: 1,503. For the bonus mission for Dark Moon, depending on fast you clear them, E. Gadd will say something different. You Chugga, managed to clear this mission under the target time. Each bonus mission has one. Also, Boss Stage: VS HIGH NOON!

I like this mode in which you have to capture ghosts in certain rooms and try to do so as quickly as possible. Adds a bit of diversity into mission types in this game
A video is a video, no matter how short. That, and it's still longer than some of his videos from back when the time limit still existed.

Chugga! You can shine the dark light on enemies with things that cover their eyes (ie those trash can lids) and they will taunt you and reveal themselves. You gotta flash pretty quickly though, so be ready!
