Hi Jenni I have been stacking things up for years. Today I finished reading the book One Second After by William Forstchen. If you haven't read this book I highly recommend it. Great read but so informative and a boot to kick me into higher gear for my preps.
I didn't realize until recently that W Forstchen also published two additional in "the series". One Year After and The Final Day. I just finished the second one and keeping myself from starting the 3rd because I won't get anything else done till it's finished once I start. All Great reads!
He just released a fourth book to the series titled 5 years after. I am currently reading One Year After. Everyone should read these books. Not only are they great reads but so insightful and eye opening.
I was raised in Michigan and now I live in Alabama. We are eating good down this way. I have found I absolutely love fried okra (we eat it like popcorn) and cornbread with beans.
I haven’t bought any lentils, never ever had them. If Jinnie ever does a Pantry stock up from $Tree and doesn’t pick up matches, I may think she’s been cloned!😂😂😂
I have a pretty good stock of matches as well from Dollar Tree and the big boxes from the grocery store. lol But, my excuse is they are for the grill, when we start using it. But, with triple digits and a burn ban, it's not happening.
I had never heard of lentils, till I started watching you! I am very southern, live in the south. Dried beans is a favorite here😊 thanks for great ideas!
My local Dollar Tree in Westmont, NJ just stocked these 3.53 oz packets of Chicken of the Sea imitation crab meat for $1.25 a pack. I purchased some and really liked them. They're great in salads, as a snack, and I even made a tasty crabmeat chowder with them! I can't afford real crabmeat, so these were a wonderful substitute.
I’d never sit down to a big bowl of sauerkraut unless it was about the last food in the lifeboat, but it’s great in a Reuben casserole. I layer sauerkraut in a baking dish, top with thousand island, Russian or French dressing, a layer of pastrami or corned beef, then Swiss cheese and top with buttered rye bread cubed up. The rye bread cubes turn into amazing croutons in the oven and the whole thing is a quick simple family favorite for dinner. When I get to New York I go to Aldi and buy their sauerkraut (it comes from Germany) by the case, one jar makes 2 casseroles most of the time, and my guys like this meal at least once in two weeks. Try it, you’ll like it!❤
We set a record today for a 107 temp with a heat index of 110. Tomorrow is the last 100+ day for awhile. We have had about 42 days of 103-108. We are also under water restrictions. We have had no rain for 7-8 weeks

I have a bunch of those little collapsable baskets and I love them. Get some of their flexible cutting boards and cut to fit the bottom and it makes them much sturdier. I have about 15 of them for crafts, preps, anything!
The weather here in Southern Wisconsin has cooled considerably. Today it was in the 60's. Thank you for these budget friendly shopping hauls. Jinne, last night I bit the bullet (what a bizarre phrase that is) and bought some vegetables on Thrive Life. I ordered green onions, asparagus and another vegetable that escapes me. And not a bad price.

I once bought those reusable vacuum bags to save food. And decided that they did not work. Because I was not smart enough to figure out. You're supposed to put a piece of tape over the port after you vacuum out the air!
In regards to the trail mix in the beginning of the video. I just tried these last week on our trip to Yellowstone. The tropical is DELICIOUS! The mountain trail mix is a little odd. It says it has M&M's in it but they are either not real M&M's or maybe old ones. They a taste weird and it throws off the whole flavor of the trail mix. Any bite without the candies (just nuts and raisins) were good but if it had an "M&M" in the bite it was funky. Hopefully yours is ok. Tropical though are excellent.

Yardley washcloths 18 in pkg are good - shared with 2 friends that had surgery and came in handy for quick sponge baths. Not overly scented - just aloe so good for everyone. Went looking for - Tues at 4 different DT no luck. The Texas cornbread is also good. The pain patch that come in 2 different sizes actually works!! Yeah. Have not been able to find the Wound Care kit. Yet! Not giving up!!
I'm from Texas and we mainly do pinto beans. I fixed the great northern beans, and my guys weren't too keen on it. But, I will eat them, so put the rest of it, in the freezer for me.
I would love to know how you do your breakfast bowls and casseroles with the hash browns. Do you cook everything including hash browns then just toss together? Thanks for sharing your wisdom!! ❤
Be careful with those cheaper vacuum storage bags. I bought the cheap versio at Walmart for our move and several of them didn't actually keep the seal and expanded in the moving truck. Thankfully it was just blankets and pillows but it was a pain in the neck getting those things off the truck when they were twice their size.
Local DT has been hit or miss. No shelf staple milk, no dry beans or good finds yesterday. What they did have I can find cheaper elsewhere. Lots of decor & the $3-5 items seemed well stocked.

New items,,, grabbing pen and notebook...The mixes will be good to have here for the grandkids when they come over. The cornbread I will have to try from there. I make the jalopena cornbread and having more than a jiffy mix would be good. Lentils are added again. I really like having the jar by the stove and just adding them to whatever for extra protien in the soups and sauces.
I really like those foldable storage bin boxes ,l'll have to check my Dollar tree and see if they have them. Thanks for the video on things they have now that you purchased.❤️🙂
It was 70° today here in WA state. I’m loving the cooler weather. I always keep that cornbread mix on hand. The other day I made split pea soup and cornbread. It was so good.
Thanks for all the continued ideas for things to stock up on that we might not have thought of before. You did mention as you were showing your package of cornbread mix that you weren't too fond of the Jiffy mix cornbread. I use those and do like them since there is only 2 of us to supplement our meals. Last night when I baked them to go along with our kielbasa rice stir fry I added heavy whipping cream instead of milk in the mix. So good, you will have to try that next time and see if you like it better, we sure did.
The freeze dried fruits are great. If you compare them to Wal-Mart prices per ounce, they are actually better prices also. I have tried a few different ones and have enjoyed each of them.
I watch all your videos and LOVE THEM!! Thank you for what you do. I’m making your elderberry syrup tomorrow and letting my son take some to college. Sending love from fellow American patriot.
Hi, Jinne did a video a while ago, months ago maybe, on how to make lentil soup. OMG!!! This recipe changed my life. It's so good. And even better, the video showed canning it. It's truly a game changer. It has become my all time favorite soup. I'm sure that if you look for it, you'll find it. I have come back to this video again and again.
Because of one of your previous videos I looked for the Pacific organic chicken broth. I was actually shocked to find some so I bought a total of 13 over several trips. It was hidden behind another brand so someone will be disappointed their stash was found😂
The chili sauce is good on those little frozen eggrolls that they sometimes have at Dollar Tree. I use it as a dipping sauce. It's also good to mix with a little mayo when making tuna salad sandwiches. So good.
Have you shares your lentil soup recipe? If not, can you? Also, would like ideas for soup mixes or meals to can that don't rely on the Thrive Life or other freeze dried products.
Nice haul! You can wash out plastic baggies too! I’ve had guaranteed batteries leak before the expiration so keep an eye on them. Unrelated….. do you do any fermenting?
If your local Dollar Tree has frozen foods I recommend buying the sliced peppers for stir fry. I had previously purchased the frozen peppers and onions but didn’t think there were enough peppers. The ones I purchased recently were all peppers. I used them for fajitas and they are a time saver! Eventually I think it’s a great idea to dehydrate them as you really have zero prep work.
Thanks for the great tips. I will try the Libby sauerkraut Octoberfest isn't far away. Sauerkraut might jazz up the flavor of canned ham or other meat in pantry. Great prebiotic too. Always enjoy your hauls.😊
@Jenni FD Asparagus!!! Jenni, how do I go about getting that? I do 'Meals in a Jar' (a la Jenni and a few others) and asparagus is one veggie that I can't find. Thank you for any info ahead of time!

Went to Dollar General for sos type scrubbie soap pads and bought little boxes of matches 12 boxes with 32 matches each for $1!!
Love your videos on pantry restock and prep items from Dollar Tree.
That pineapple in that thai sauce would be good 😋
That DOES sound delicious! Now I’ll have to make the trek to Dollar Tree for some Thai chili sauce!❤
It was 70° today here in WA state. I’m loving the cooler weather. I always keep that cornbread mix on hand. The other day I made split pea soup and cornbread. It was so good.
Ginny, your hair looks nice up today. Thanks for sharing your haul. Have a super day!
Last night on the news, I saw that Hurricane Lee might be heading y’all’s way. I hope it stays away from the U.S. but y’all will be in my prayers.
Can use pineapple in watergate salad, so good
Thanks for all the continued ideas for things to stock up on that we might not have thought of before.
Great haul
The freeze dried fruits are great. If you compare them to Wal-Mart prices per ounce, they are actually better prices also. I have tried a few different ones and have enjoyed each of them.
I watch all your videos and LOVE THEM!! Thank you for what you do. I’m making your elderberry syrup tomorrow and letting my son take some to college. Sending love from fellow American patriot.
I've watched you talk about lentils day after day. Can you make something with them and like canned chicken on a video. Maybe buffalo style.
Cute hair!
Nice haul, thanks for sharing, God bless !
I always enjoy watching these videos. I was wondering how you store all your extra things like the matches and batteries... Do you have a video on your storage?
