we have 2 young rescue cats who think the Great Outdoors is overrated. They've been there, it was rough, and they are very content to be indoors now! Thanks for another wonderful video adventure!

It's hilarious how when introduced to a new environment cats practically low crawl because they don't know what danger will come from where. They must be able to react to the maximum in any direction.

This was a lovely video. Wonderful music selections too. Conan took to the outdoors so quickly, and you have beautiful places where you live now. I kept thinking what a great decision it was for the both of you to move out there closer to Nature.

We have those same harnesses. You can easily bring a 100 ft coil of thin but strong poly or nylon line and connect it between the picnic table and a tree. Then attach a light but sturdy double clip to the loop end of the leash and the line and then they can move back and forth along the run of the line. Everything you need can be purchased at Home Depot for a few bucks. Works well for our cats in the backyard.
I still can't get the harness on my Chai! He freaks out as soon as I touch it to his back! I have not tried just holding him and putting it on would that be too traumatic? I have laid it out on the bed and he is good with that but not touching him! I had a collar on him a few months ago and his mouth got stuck in it and he went berserk I had to chase him all over the house till I cornered him to remove it! I'm sure that is what the issue is with the harness he is fearful! Any suggestions even if I have to forget about harness training I'm in with that! Thanks!
Are you familiar with the basic nature of a cat? Do you really think they need to be drowned in humans' fear? Do you think that the cat cannot navigate a park without a leash? This cat appears to be totally de-natured already, afraid of its own shadow. If you have children, will you look them up in the house as well?
The cat will escape if it doesn't have a leash. A domesticated cat is already de natured by default! All my indoor cats were or are petrified of being taken outside. They enjoy to be on the patio but that is about it. To let your cat go outside unsupervised in this day and age, and especially in big cities is simply madness. Also it is the first time the cat is being taken outside will being indoor since he was born. Obviously he is going to be disoriented. Not everyone has the time, nor the adequate environmental set up to take their cat outside on a daily basis. And again, it is extremely immature and dangerous to let them roam free outside. Haven't you heard of people stealing cats to do horrendous things to them? Cats accidents with irreversible injuries happen to cats who go outdoors too! And cats are a big threat to birds too, we need to think of the protection of wildlife. Think about it
Once any cat has a taste of outdoors, it is difficult for them to forget it.
