What I remember about the development of Rumpelstiltskin is that the creators wanted him to be a combination of the past three villains in the past 3 movies:
He's short (Lord Farquadd)
He has magic (Fairy God Mother)
He felt wronged by Shrek (Charming)
Rumpelstiltskin is like a you’re dealing with a devil.
Just like the original tale, Rumpelstiltskin is like that one loan shark that wants some ransom money or else, you'll face a serious consequence. Unless you have to say his name and you're gaw dam right.
The charcter's native-language name is actually spelled "Rumpelstilzchen" (ROOM-pull-shteelts-khun) and his fairytale is one where he's the main antagonist and bets with the king for his child that he can't guess the fairy's name, in return for spinning yarn into gold.

Shrek Forever After in my personal opinion is the best Shrek Movie and Rumpelstiltskin is also the best Villain in the series.
He reminds me of a more cartoony version of Gaunter O'Dimm from the Witcher 3

He ripped off Gabby from Gulliver's Travels but made him evil
I like how he presents himself as this noble kind hearted man who just wants to help folks out yet makes them sign up on the worst deal possible just to get at them
Looking at Rumpelstiltskin In shrek forever i don't think Rumpelstiltskin is his real name but one of the many names giving to himself as he might of other names and it also hinted he worked for the fairy godmother and learn from her work to make his own personal deals hinting he worked for her due to learning from her work
Pretty good theory. I’m interested in the backstory of this character. He’s my favorite shrek villain.
He might have indeed been one of her minions who learnt how to use her methods to achieve his own goals
His real name is Shane Dawson because that's who he looks like.

I cannot help it but for some reason Rumpelstilskin reminds me of Sportacus in the Lazy Town series. Both aim at the throne and find themselves in positions they should never have been in. Magnus Scheving has the same smile as Rumpelstilskin and there are stories about attempts to make deal with him which always result in failure for the person who signs. Like Sportacus, Rumpelstilskin causes trouble wherever he goes. Scarily, like Sportacus, Rumpelstilskin seems to regard others as puppets and himself as the puppet master. Both are boisterous personalities who excel at smooth talk but fail miserably at public relations. This does not indicate that the Shrek movie starring Rumpelstilskin is violating Lazy Town´s copyright. Far from it. It is superior to the Lazy Town series in every respect.

Shrek Forever After wasn’t the greatest movie in the Shrek series but we all can agree it was WAAAAY better than Shrek The Third.
You can watch the entire series without Shrek 3 and the series still makes sense. Am I wrong?

Is this the kid's channel and Vile Evil for adults? I thought this was for attention delayed but still watched. Even if only to distract from overheated home. These just fustrate me more. Channel could be just as good if not better. I kinda wish the video game characters were on this one instead. Good luck with channel.
