He paid tribute to his father after the win, and listed all the family events he had missed while training for the fight.
Tyson Fury said he thought he did enough to win the fight after suffering the first defeat of his career by split decision. 'It was a close fight ... I believed I did enough but I'm not a judge, I can't judge a fight while I'm boxing it'. he said. 'I tried my best, I was having fun ... it was what it was'.

If the baddest man on the planet can cry, we can all cry my brothers
❤
U gotta be baddest or top 5% baddest first
Baddest man is jon Jones

This interview had me in tears, anybody that has lost their father understood him, I’m glad he won.❤
The transition was a little unfortunate....
"I love you dad, I remember when you were there with me during the hard times and I wish you were here to see where I am now because of you.." 😭.. / -"WELLL... you know.. I always say it's about GETTING PAID AND GETTING LAID 🥳"
Fathers are truly important. It's been 9 years but I still miss mine.
Man his father must have empowered him so much. Gave him unbelievable belief in himself.
I think his self-belief is probably rooted in the fact that his father truly believed in him and really meant it when he told him that he could accomplish his dreams and beyond, even if the dream seems really difficult to accomplish.
Usyk really does have unbelievable resolve and discipline. True professional and champion. What he achieved in boxing is truly remarkable, yet he maintains so much humility.
His father must be sitting in heaven and so proud of his son. Usyk defines what it means to be a world champion.
This makes me cry, because I can never feel the same about my father
🫂
But you can one day be that father to your own son, and give him what you yourself never had. You have all the power now brother. - from Ukraine 💪
Beautiful staff 🙏I miss my dad too everyday since we lost him
Me to lost my dad a week ago 🥹😭
@alishairabdulrauf5166 it's life be strong i loved my dad more than my mum
@@alishairabdulrauf5166 sorry to hear that
sorry did you mean "stuff"?
Me too
A man with a great heart.
What a difference in class as men between Usyk and Fury.
What do you mean? Fury was such a gracious loser 😂
They were both classy and they both fought an excellent fight. Can't for for round 2 in October
@@joshnordin4043it didn’t seem classy to say Usyk only won the decision cause his country is at war
Usyk: “I miss and love my father” (Ukranian ethics - A country in war)
Fury: “It’s about getting paid and getting laid” (Western ethics - A country riddled in wealth and sin)
@@priyathammanoharkoka4300 You´re generalizing a bit much, don´t you think?
I´m not even american btw.
Usyk: “I miss and love my father”
Fury: “It’s about getting paid and getting laid”
The duality of man
Well said. Humility is graceful and beautiful.🙏🏽
Totally different dads.

Fury's father is also highly involved in his life...Tyson doesn't have to miss him.
Uysk, pure champ in and out the ring 🏆
Great Description!!!!!
💯 A beautiful Man inside and out. Sheer class and a Complete Gentleman.
Usak you the best thing to happen to boxing this decade. What a gentleman and a people's champion. We love you brother.
I love you, Oleksandr. Thanks for sharing your heart with us, brother.
❤
One man has all the class and humility in the World. The other thinks the World revolves around him.
I feel the same way about my father. Im 40, and I still break down talking/thiking about my dad. He passed away 3 years ago, Feels like he passed away yesterday.
Lost mine 20 years ago, I'm 41. Still feels like yesterday. Nothing changes, you just live with it. Be strong Brother.
He’s proud of you.
@@nyubiii Youre absolutly right. thank you brother.
rest in power to your og
I feel you brother. Right there with you
It must be nice to have a father that tells you that you can. I have a father but I have to tell these things to myself, but I can imagine the strength he must feel to have his father tell him that and to have his support.
In the end you will be much stronger than someone with a father embrace it !!!!
Absolutely true man.
Just be to your kids what your father wasn't to you. That's the only way about it.
His dads dead
I was working over seas when my father passed away and I always regretted not being able to say goodbye
Win or Lose, you are a champ, you've shown a great heart, humbleness and professionalism in this fight and we know you are working hard to provide for your family back in Ukraine! There are only a few boxers I look up to because of their humbleness, Manny Pacquiao and you now, Oleksandr Usyk. Congratulations on your victory against the Gypsy King Tyson Fury.
❤
Hands down my favorite athlete in the modern era.. A genuine family man and a class act he is. So happy to see a classy fella like Usyk take the reins and celebrate the glory of being the undisputed champ 😊
Honestly in the middle rounds i thought Fury had Uysk figured out, he was landing flush and had figured out Uysks timings. I thought Uysk was in big trouble, but something happened when he went back to his corner, something overcame him and he snapped back with more intent, more pressure and an unwillingness to give in. Maybe he channeled an inner strength from his father at the time. Truly a special fighter. Well done
I mean you could look at the change in the fight from that perspective, but I simply thought that Usyk took those middle rounds off, which allowed Fury to land as easily as he did. But Usyk was totally aware that he was making Fury exert himself a ton in those middle rounds. He chose to step back into the fight in the 8th round as soon as Fury slowed down and wasn't moving his feet as often. Usyk is a master at controlling fights.

What a guy ❤
Shout out to all the fathers out there.we love you and appreciate everything you do.
Remember that many, many people in the world have bad fathers.
So heartbreaking 😢
This guy Usyk is a true fighter. Respect ++++++
Usyk dedicates his fights to his father, meanwhile Tyson’s father is the one instigating the fights 😂😂😂

I love him wot a real man
A humble, down to earth man outside of the ring but an absolute machine & a true ring warrior of the ring who conducts himself before, during & after fights with such class, how can anyone not like Oleksandr Usyk. Its long overdue but we have an undisputed World heavyweight champion you can look up to & feel proud of. Oleksandr Usyk you are a credit to boxing, to your country & to your family, you’re a class act & a true, worthy champion.
A true champ…. Mate I’m tearing up 😢😢😢😢
Cryin right next to his opponent shows how strong he really is and fury shows after that fight his brave character without the show

The humble man humbled a proud boxer in Fury.
nice to see a real guy and an honest man as champ! boxing/mma everyone else taking too much garbage
Love this man, he is a true champion through and through
Your father would have been proud of you. 💪🏼💪🏼
Just like Khabib and his father, Oleksander has that eternal baggage in his heart, knowing full well that the wins just doesn't feel as much as it used to when your old man was still around. It's that missing piece that you just can't find anymore.
You are Big Man Big Champion 🏆🥇❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great fighter, great human.
People keep throwing trash to either of this men but not me.
I have nothing but respect to both of these men. Both are absolute great fighters.
It’s cool that Usyk carries that Eeyore everywhere with him ever since his daughter gave it to him for his bout with AJ
Great moment champion!

Love this guy man, only real boxer we got left. Joshua has this also a bit
Usyk is such a gentleman and very brave man, true leader
Alexander is what a champion loooks and sounds like children, don’t mind the other chap he’s ruining his legacy by the minute.
Let it out champ
Humans need heroes that drive us away from cynicism. Heroes help define the limits of our aspirations. We largely define our ideals by the heroes we choose, and our ideals -- things like courage, honor, and justice -- largely define us. Our heroes are symbols for us of all the qualities we would like to possess and all the ambitions we would like to satisfy.
A society is shaped by the heroes it chooses to promote, their qualities and aspirations that the young generation will look up to and which they will aspire to and try to emulate.
I noticed many great athletes fathers either died or alcoholics
his father passed the year Usyk won gold in the London Olympics and was already a very accomplished boxer
Ronaldos father was both, an alcoholic who died before his sons success.
Heart of a lion ❤
Best heavyweight fight of our time
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I miss my father, but when i think of him, it is with pride and respect, not tears. I guess i think of him with a fond smile rather than tears 😢, but thats just me. I certainly respect Usyk, and dont feel it diminishes him or any other man to show emotion over such a matter. It isn't a weakness to be human, and i'm absolutely sure his late father would be VERY proud of him.
Champion of the world 🌎
Both fighters were emotionally drained after the fight.
Great champ and great human.
How can a mf believe he was up, when he was the only one who got dropped, & lost every round after that 😂
Dudes delusional, Usyk gave that bag of milk a concussion for sure
Tyson was almost KOed in the fight even 🤣🤣
@@robk5745 Tyson was winning until the 9th round. Learn to be objective. The match was the toughest for Usyk. Tyson Fury is a great boxer.
Fury certainly looked like he was playing around at the end of the 9th
He reminds me of Ronald’s interview about his father
Top dawg
Go Champ!!!
He seems small compared to heavyweights right now but hes same weight as Riddick Bowe
I take nothing away from Fury. He overcame depression, he overcame addiction, he beat his own demons. Nothing scares him anymore (well, aside from the pre-fight false bravado that everyone could see through, lol). But Usyk... This man has fought in a literal WAR. And he's still fighting.
So glad he won Tyson’s da is a wallaper
Kool 😎
Why do they have the same exact looking watch
