  • Deer may be fearful in the forest, but not in Japan! In Nara Deer Park, they are the ones who rule the world!
    Protected by Shinto religion that sees them as messengers of gods, more than 1.300 deer freely roam through the town of Nara, Japan's first permanent capital.
    They are very cute, but they are also even more - very hungry. So watch out for deer attacks! Take care of your belongings!
    Deers in Nara Deer Park will not stop before they disarm you of any food you may be carrying. City maps, paper tissues, Todai-ji temple tickets, and even paper money included. All very delicious!
    Bon appetit!

      Nobody fed tissues to anyone. As seen in the video, deer found tissues in an abandoned bicycle. If there is any moral to the story, and that goes to all examples seen in the video, it is: do not leave your things unattended. Deer are animals, and do not read TH-cam comments :)

    They are pretty intimidating. Once I saw a female tourist, who just took out 5,000 yen bill from her purse to pay at the roadside souvenir shop, to be snatched it by a deer.

    Awww I remember Nara Park. One of my favorite places in Japan with all those cute deer. Hahaha I never saw the other side of the deer stealing things from bags tho. How funny!

      Oh, I miss their hunger attacks too! All these travel restrictions, with no tourists around, must have put them on a diet!

    • @kenjih1408
      @kenjih1408 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Once a year to prevent the buck from getting injured during the rutting season.
      "Deer antler cutting" is being carried out.
      It was started by the Nara Magistrate in 1671 and has become a traditional event.
