Not many people have the mental fortitude that you possess to do what you’re doing. You’re drive and ambition is inspiring. After watching you spend years building and establishing your old homestead, and then have to see you give it all up and start over, was truly heartbreaking. I would have probably given up and gone back to my old life. I’ve been a fan from beginning, and look forward to following you on your new journey.
Seems the way things are developing worldwide, Shawn would be the new generation pioneer along with the thousands others breaking those chains that bind one to their job and under a mortgage. Fair thee well.🙏

To wait for the thawing and melting of winter, seeing the soil appear, the tree stumps, knowing you're able to begin digging and laying the foundation, wow, I fully understand how you chose the title of this video. The condition of winter moving into spring, now, seems to be a proper welcoming gesture to you and the family. I think there is some subliminal messaging happening that keeps reeling us all in!
I'm 68 years old not able to get out much anymore. I really like your videos they are " beautiful " !! I live in Livingston ,Texas .Mostly flat land . I'm working my way through the videos and dread the day when I catch up .Love your mind set, please keep doing what your doing . Jerry..:)
Haha...glad Cali didn't chase the Moose this time. Glad things are coming together for you. The look Cali gave you when she stepped and sunk down in the snow, when she was across the creek. Like "you didn't see that, did you?" LOL
Seeing Cali in that stream makes my arthritis ache. And follow that with a snow bath....I shiver!!!but she’s enjoying life! Stay safe Shawn and Cali.
@@collienbordner5181 one of Our dogs does this all the time.
Last year he tried to break the ice on a water basin to jump in it. I screamed NO. Well he came home with icicles all over his fur.
Thanks Shawn. Enjoying watching you build the new homestead. And very grateful for the silences in your videos. Words are not always necessary. The beauty of nature surrounding you speaks enough.
