Your hair is beautiful and looks a lot like mine. All the locks aren’t the same size all the way down the shaft. Some of the ends are fuller. I think it’s the hair texture that causes that. I colored my hair about a month before I got my install and then again about 14 months in. My ends thickened up again after coloring. They are a lot better now but still thicker. I am now over 4 years locked. My hair isn’t growing as quickly as yours is growing but I’m getting good length now. The shape is a lot like yours also. Your video was very informative. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, so much! I recently got a trim ( I have a video up) and its helped tremendously! The shapes are more uniform at the end and my hair looks healthier now as well!

Congratulations on your journey! Just embrace every stage! I remember in the beginning I used to wear a bun a lot while it was transitioning. But remember don’t put too much tension on your hair.

Your hair is flourishing I too have fine and thin hair and will be locked 5 years on Jan 10 2024. My crown is just like yours. Possibly a little thinner, but I continue to work on it. I’ve recently been getting my reties every 8 weeks hoping to allow fuller new growth to fill in my crown more. However, this time around it will be 10 weeks for my retie. Anyway, looking forward to more of your makeup videos.

Your hair is gorgeous ❤❤next month will make 2 years for me. My hair is sparse in the front. So I wear headbands for about 3 weeks after a retie. After that, the thinness is hidden from the retie. Anyway, I'm loving your content and hair.
Hey! Thank you, I know what you mean. I was the same way. Give it time. Sometime last year during year 2 once I got a retie it wasn’t like that anymore.

New subbie here and your locs are gorgeous! I have tension alopecia issues and using a product called Minoxidil hair growth serum purchased from Amazon and it has been filling in those areas for me.
My locs are mini so seeing your progress helps me as well. Thanks for sharing 🥰

Hi! Thank you, so much! Slippage is when the lock slips out usually mostly around people’s temple or edges. Usually the hair is finer and takes longer to take. So basically in a nut shell it comes undone.
@DrAshMakeup thanks Dr.Ash. I have fine hair and recently made the mistake to do a texture release. The roots are intact and actually kinkier than usual but the ends are like strands (this is after I washed my hair yesterday.) Is now a good time to do the sisterlocks?
I am now 1yr, and going through an interesting process of unevenness through the locs, with some bits being bulkier than others and it’s bugging me! Does your consultant try to tidy things up and get some uniformity through the loc?
Is it at the bottom? Your hair is probably going thru the budding phase. It will be larger usually towards the ends. I do have some Locs that are bigger than others.
