Thank you so much for explaining this. I really wish games had more detailed tutorials these days. I miss the day when we could spend $60 on a game guide and sit down and read it and have everything in a book at our fingertips.

**UPDATE!!** Ran some tests after this latest patch and looks like they may have secretly nerfed the lights lol. with my same setup as before I'm only lighting 6/8 plants now max. so the concept is still viable you do get more boxes covered if you raise the lights, its just slightly less effective now. 2 lights and 2 sprinklers should cover your entire farm no problem. still not bad! :)
So how are you grouping these now? 3x2's?
@@seussiii still group in 3x3s that way the sprinkler still works as intended I just space out two lights now instead of 1
@@Glitchiz annnnd it looks like grow lights are completely broken now lol I cant even get 1 per bed , any height, any power lvl etc

Great information! I wish I'd seen this before I wasted time trying to grow plants without grow lights and an irrigation system. Oh well, thanks to this video I'll be ready for the next season.

i use one sprinkler and 2 lights for 32 planters :)

The setup I currently have is a 5x5, middle cut out for sprinkler. Remove the corner of the 5x5, as the sprinkler won't reach the diagonal furthest ones. Then use the lights, which light up 3x2, and place them clock wise or anti-clock wise on the ceiling. How that looks, basically you light the top left 5 horizontally(6 technically but you have to cut a corner), the to the right of that place another growlight but vertically, to it''s catch 4(3) of the top 2 rows, and 2 of the middle. Then place another light horizontally at the bottom right, lighting up 3x2 (-1), and another one vertically to the bottom left to finish it off.
This way the whole circle will be lit, and you can have max farming :D
sounds great! yeah people def had to make some minor adjustments cuz they went and patched almost everything i talked about like 4 days after my video dropped XD

Yeah they changed something because no matter how much a move the two lights (half or regular wall) it will not affect the entire crop. Even though the light covers the 3x3 perfectly. :(
You Can use furniture light like blue green red spot instead of ground/wall terminal they dont use point/ slot, usefull when you like cable management in a solo base as you dont have many facility& furniture point max. 👍

Do somebody have issue with irrigators you put them on lets say on 70% let them run and then you have 100% irrigation ? I have switch but i forgot to turn it on
once u turn on irrigation it should eventually fill up ur plants to the exact amount u set it to.
Pretty sure with the amount of fails and now the amount of success I'm having pretty sure ive nailed down the planter box light to water ration with a wide variety growing at once we're is the hemp I wanna see hemp be used for some things we need rope for
More science: would raising the level of the sprinkler also allow it to cover slightly further than the 3x3 range similarly to how the light works? would be interesting to see.

tryna figure out of u can connect each sprinkler, then hook 1 to water and have them all fill, or it if only fills one
each sprinkler needs its own water line

Mmm, it's wrong... u can do sprinkle in 6x4... do 2 lines of 3 each side of sprinkle... so its way more efficient

broo :D you can EASY get 6x6 crops with only 1 waterthing :D also you can stack em up to 5 floors and put a waterthing on top of it and all floors will get water :D
Great tutorial! One thing no one has explained yet (as far as I can tell) is what yield does once the plant is fully grown and producing. The crops have a "yield" and some are average, good, etc. with a percentage associated with it. I waited to harvest see if it goes up if you leave the crop and I think it does, but I still get the same amount of harvest. How do you change yield and make it better? Is it related to crop efficiency/vitality?
its 100% related to crop vitality and efficiency. if u manage to stay in the green zone during the entire growing process your final "yield" when u harvest will be much higher than if at times your plant entered the red zone during its growing process. which is why i highly recommended waiting till u got the grow lights and irrigation system cuz it automates all of that stuff and makes sure u have the proper water and light on your crops at all times. :) i saw a substantial difference in not only the number of crop i harvested at the end but also the number of extra seeds i was rewarded to replant as well.

how about waterpump that collecting dirty water automatically without waiting the rain to come ? because my pipe working the opposite. its supposed to send the water from waterpump to osmosis not the other way around . can you explain ? or is it bug ?
Nevermind i just found out you have to place higher than the osmosis and it worked lol
@@paladindanse6202 yeah has to be higher and ur water valve thing has to have power running to it if ur using one.
How were you able to get the 3x3 plot? I have been testing with Glow Light height as well and i cant get anything besides 4 total plots for 1 Glow Light.
is your intensity set to max? At the time of that video i was able to do 12+ successfully. knowing how frequent patches are coming out they may have adjusted it now. I'm actually rebuilding my garden as we speak so ill do another test right now with rly high ceilings and keep you posted! :)

@@Tr1ppLeSek welp... looks like it was nerfed.. with two walls high and one light with my normal 3x3 setup i can only get 6/8 lit now with one light but no where near what it used to be :/ but on the bright side... the concept still holds.. 6 plants with one light is still better than a 1:1 ratio that most people do.. so in theory our testing was still valid and to an extent its still working. looks like ill just have to use 2 lights now, not a huge loss. 12ish plants across two lights and two sprinklers isn't bad at all! :)
whatever I do, my planters are not getting any light. The grow lights are powered, they are spaced out and a bit higher than the normal celing. Still nothing...
grow lights are broken right now. its a very annoying known bug. hopefully its fixed soon. allot of people are having the same problem. something in the last update messed them all up :/

few minor things changed in full release but its still pretty much the same overall. :)

@@DrRippenShitten the only change is i think the purifier has to be higher than the storage container and also u can no longer stack plater boxes on top of eachother so 1 lvl 3x3 grids is rly all u can do now.

Your deviant might increase yield for your corps too not sure tho but it sure seems like it and I have mine right next to my grow pots

kinda remind me of when I was growing weed in the garage, id ajust the hight of the lights to change its intensity, youd be surprise how many plants you can grow with just 1 reptile light

I tried some around an i can tell it goes 16 pots with 1 sprinkler and 8 Lights it ist a bit tricky to get every Time the two plants at one light but i goes. I put 4x2 pots and then the sprinkler in the middle and then again 4x2 pots

@@slaychild1 the growshroom auto harvest your plants for you... anything hes collected goes to his container. the reason ur only seeing dirt is because hes collected everything for you already lol

the 1 level build yes still works. i have another video that was even crazier using shelves to stack boxes vertically but they patched that and it doesnt work anymore.

i dont get it,so how i need to put those lamps for that 3x3 setup?
Normally you’d put it be above them right in the middle. But two problems now… 1.) the nerfed grow lights so you’ll need at least 2 for a 3x3 setup now. And 2.) grow lamps have been bugged since the last patch and aren’t working properly they are not producing any power at all even if set to the highest setting. I honestly wouldn’t bother with farms at all until those get fixed

@@roscio5987 u can do either the benefit of the hive territory is the space is much larger and both u and your partners can all help build together inside of it and share materials. So that’s what we did just made things easier and faster
Not sure what they changed in the current patch, but auto irrigation is garbage. I placed them like this, and it doesn't even cover a 360 degree radius, it's hitting like 3 of the boxes.

If only i could but for the last week the developers have held beta keys locked behind their discord channel and only do one giveaway a day at most... its a well know chinese developer group known for this type of thing and honestly its absolutely disgusting of them to do this considering the hype behind the game right now.

So much like everything else in this game.. the devs must have made some big changes.. my auto irrigator doesn't do half of this and I need like 2x as many grow lights.. they just love nerfing everything you guys make videos about sigh..

@@Glitchiz lol.. it sucks because you have a lot of really good guides but a lot of the info is out dated and I'm a new player and can't seem to find any of the new information.. so it's a bit frustrating. Some of the things in this game are not really easily explained. But I appreciate you man!!!
@@darthartagnan4737 and i apreciate you! unfortunately thats just the nature of Beta's. people have to understand this isnt the actual game.. its rly polished so people forget sometimes but all these these testing seasons are for just that... testing... in betas things change constantly new balance changes etc... growing was significantly changed after i uploaded my 3rd farming guide and rightfully so. if u could realistically grow 24 crops in a 3x3 space with only 4 lights that would be crazy. so it makes sense they nerfed a bunch of stuff. it just would be realistic. as a creator and now OH partner its my job to make videos to bring allot of these potential exploits up so that they can make adjustments so that the game on final full relase is as perfect as it can be :)
