I can't help but wonder if they would have been able to secure replacement parts would it still be in operation? I think it would as the site didn't effect the changes the park made since its removal.
My favorite ride from the park, really wish they could make a modern version of it. And they could so easily relocate the Balloons and Starship to other areas of the park again. Glad they at least put the gondola out at the Choclatier, and I was lucky enough to buy a gondola a few years back and have one in my back yard now. They should have at least not scrapped any of the cars, too bad Hershey wasn't doing public auctions that I know of back then and only 4 (as far as I know) were spared from scrap. They should have had the foresight to know they'd at least be great for nostalgia pieces, and it's great they got one gondola and resstored it, but ideally if they'd of kept 3 and kept them in good shape, to have one red, one blue and one white out for display.
Whirligig at SFGAm, which looks very similar to this, was the scariest ride in the park for me. Still would be if it was there lol I just never felt safe on it!
Man, this ride was amazing😊

They should have actioned them off and kept some for their museum, same with Roller Soaker and Flying Falcon.
these wheels need a comeback
I loved this ride
Was such a amazing ride
1:53 how they hell did they fit skyrush next to comet is beyond me after seeing this footage
A loading station where passengers load and unload on the same side, plus I think they altered the creek before construction.

I think your thinking of the defunct Sky Whirl. Whirligig is Great Americas swing ride that is still in operation.
@@tigerrocks503chase8 yes! Thank you!
Also Whirligig is still operating if you are curious and this year it’s getting rethemed to D.C. Villains Super Swing.
@@tigerrocks503chase8 I heard about that whole area retheme! Not sure how I feel about it tho cuz I love how it started original for so long
I hated that ride!
