Great video. Thank you! I just assembled a 2020 model this evening. Some of the steps are a little different now. Then center stand was already installed, and the battery didn’t require filling. Apart from that, your video was spot on. Much better than the Chinese “silent assembly” video. I’ll check out your maintenance video soon. Thanks again.
I think that was one of the best instructional videos I have seen. It was to the point and I am willing to bet, though it would take me longer, I could prep a scooter.
I've got one of these in a crate that showed up today. This was really helpful, because that stuff about putting the wheel on and the handlebars bolt would have been tough to figure out without being clearly shown. That's for the clues.
Yeah, those were the 2 toughest parts to install! Too bad, that even all the other stuff required time/tools/ etc - that were still - a PAIN! and now it won't start anymore!!!
Thanks for the video. Gives me confidence for my upcoming scooter purchase. That small piece of metal used to hold the bolt in place is sometimes referred to as a cotter pin or a split pin. When similar item is used to hold a wheel on a axle they call it a linchpin.
I have a scooter myself, didn't hear if he said anything about the oil other then 10w40, just make sure you change the oil the scooter comes with BEFORE YOU START THE ENGINE because the oil that comes with it in the eng. is SHIPPING OIL NOT ENGINE OIL..
Yours was one of the 1st videos we watched after my bro got his 50cc Maui Scooter (MC-N013, X-Pro...) and so far, the best! We finally got it all put together-we think?! However, now it won't start! He was too lazy to view one scintilla of video on his bike (well, til he/we- had to) and now we're running into probs! He had started the bike a few times and drove it up and down his block, and then suddenly - it would start and run a few seconds til the idle lowered to norm and then it would just die. I asked if he'd switched out the factory oil with 10-40 b4 he even turned it on 4 the 1st time, and of course, he had not and did not plan to! Then he finds this video showing all kinds of work to get to the engine and carb and do/troubleshoot - ALL this work and wants me to watch with him, so we can try those solutions. I insisted that i wouldn't do that sans atleast switching out the oil! We did, and amazingly, it started and stayed running, and he even drove it a mile RT, so he could fill it with gas, where naturally he didn't want to use the recommended PREMIUM, and only even used the PLUS because i refused to let him use the REGULAR. He drove it home and all seemed find! So, he turns it off. And the next day, after leaving it on his 12V trickle charger (2b sure it had a full charge) overnite; well, he drove it for a couple of short trips of 1 mile RT each time. He parks it, but decides to just turn it on first, 2b sure all was well. And it wouldn't start, at all! The battery chugged along, but no start. The KILL switch was off, so that's not the prob, but what is?! We have already lost most of our hair (and he's nearly bald already, but as a Girl, i still atleast have some left)! But now i'm wondering, did not switching out the Fac/oil immediately, and/or - using PLUS instead of PREMIUM - cause this? If not, W the H and WTF with these things?!! PLEASE - ANYBODY?! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Heads up, the brake caliper must come off to get the front tire on. And be careful not to drop the bolt or nut when attaching the steering head to the column. And you are going to need someway to hold the bike up in the air. It's a two man job getting the spring on the kickstand. This video was a key to my success for my 2022 icebear rocket. Thank you.
Wow you just saved me so much trouble. I've searched all over for detailed information on how to do some things on this scooter and this video shows me what I need to know! Thanks for sharing what you know with us all.
It's so simple to put a scooter together if you take your time, the hardest thing maybe putting on the front wheel. That's because you may need another person to run the rod through the front wheel to the other side while you are holding the wheel in place.
Lol seriously that's less work then I thought lmaooo I'd be done in aftoon maybe till later that day with my morning free lucky u dnt gotta wire n do the motor that's what I was afraid of this shits just sum screws n fittings haha no need to stress
Man I appreciate you so much I ordered mine from China and they don't even give you nowhere near the instructions. They send u a video with no sound and just a few text a 2-minute video and they're putting it on so fast you can't even keep up with them. They're not detailed oriented one bit
I can't even make it 1/2 way through. As a licensed small engines mechanic with my own scooter repair shop I would not give you a job you may know where things go but calling parts thingy and by the wrong name is not something you want to show other people. Read the manual and familiarize yourself with proper names. Voltage regulator is actually Rectifier Regulator
Fellow small engine mechanic. I watch these videos to help people in the comments and correct and false information I see. Its sad when videos like these pop up. Good info on putting it together but how are you going to start by saying qualified technician only and then not even know the difference between nuts and bolts...
On the left side down by the engine ID is an oil drain plug. 17mm bolt. Use this one unless you want to take out the filter to clean it from the bottom.
My Peace Sports 50cc scooter is 9 years old, runs great, consumes about 1/4 of a quart of oil every 6 months. I think they're under rated. However, there have been some parts being replaced along the way. And I need to re-tighten certain bolts about every month.
Well, this video was helpful but I won't buying your DVD on Ebay, I'm afraid. I like to know the names of the parts I'm working with and "thingy" isn't really a good point of reference. Know what I mean? Other than that, great video. Very helpful.

Without the speed restrictor screw how much faster would the average 50cc scooter go? and does the tao tao 50cc brand have that restrictor screw? and in your opinion whats the best 50cc brand scooter?
Dullmicah if you are from uk you need to be 17 to drive so get a 50cc I payed £125 for the full (cbt) and if your instructor thinks you are capable you could do your test in 1 day test if I was you I would get like a rieju or aprillia rs 50 I have got the rieju rs3 50 and it is quick for 50cc does bout 53mph standerd

tri morey No not really i have a china Scooter with proper maintenance anything will last a long time. I'm up to 5k miles on a 2012 GMW RX50 Scooter it starts right up every day has decent power for a 50cc engine and gets around 115 MPG. Oh and i spent 600 bucks for it brand new. Now unless you have personal experience on this subject your opinion means nothing here.

How in the heck do you get the front fenders on these? I just received 4 of these for Christmas and all things were easy to get together until it came time to install the front fenders (They were shipped not installed) I check their how to video which SUCKS. Is it only the two bolts on the front fork that hold these on? because when I slip the fender over the two cutout notches up under the front the two bolts don't even come close to threading in the bolts. Can someone shed a little light on this Please and Thanks
He doesn't say WHY it needs to be lifted up to do the steering wheel,I'm stuck on that part right now because when u put the bolt thru, you can't turn the wheel

I am deciding whether or not to go all the way to City of Industry to pick up "finished" ($50.00 in gas)...Receiving in the mail costs me $ 2.04 LESS; but I have to assemble. I am led to understand that if it comes to my home (in box) I only have to put on mirrors and rear storage container..Now I've seen THIS video...Will it come like THIS or in a box to simply put mirrors and storage container?!!!
I think it would worth the trip to drive to City of Industry for an assembled one. If you never done scooter assembly before, you will get really frustrated half way.

Pretty sure that's called a "split washer?" I took my bro to Auto Zone and they had lots of them, cuz his never came with his Moped. Yeah, about any auto supply place.
I paid 1249.00 for a Challenger 50cc motor scooter .The left brake handle was broken upon arrival and took two weeks to get a new one. I picked up my new scooter today and on my one mile drive home the back basket fell off twice. It's all scratched up now and won't stay fastened. The new attachment system is weak and worthless. It needs to be bolted on.This change alone has cheapens the scooter. There's more but I feel I've made my point. The company I bought it from always does good work. All of the problems originated from the shipping point. I truly feel screwed. Fix the problems, please. Nobody should spend what it costs and have so many problems to deal with.
Hey do you know what the keyed ignition plugs into?? I need to replace the ignition cuz a psycho ex smashed the shit outta the ignition tryin to start it without the keys which i had... I dont know if theres parts missing or not... you have any pics or a video of the ignition area of the scooter???
I got mine from a dealer in Los Angeles and it came in 3 days. I don't know how yours took a month to get to you. Mine was also 90% assembled. All I had to do was put on the mirrors and windshield and put gas in it. Registering and insuring it was kind of a pain though. I have a Znen Vista 150 and it is gonna be registered as a Taizhou since I guess Znen for some reason isn't a actual make or model... Something like that.
Hi. I need help with one if some one can help to know about the front hydraulic brake . The 2 cables are positive or negative or both mine has 2 y cables and im not sure if it takes 2 negative or the both cables are positibe. Any help pls
Powersportsmax(dot)com sells em like that most are under 1000$ average is 400-700$ for a 50cc to 800-900$ for 150cc in up it really varies man I'm getn a cheap 1 from there 50cc under 500$ maybe just for local work n stuff
***** If you would like to compare Powersportsmax to KillerMotorsports(dot)com please give us a call. we also have just as god of deals $1000 is high we have we much better prices and offer free shipping for $649. They add on shipping and do not have as good of a free value pack.
well yeah sometimes you do stuff like that the In a Box mopeds are sometimes light enough to drag around if the tires/wheels are on and you have trouble cranking them they can be wheeled around/pushed
You really don't want to buy one that isn't already FULLY ASSEMBLED!!! It took my bro and i 6 days to put it together, and now, after gassing up and taking a couple short trips, he shuts it off and turns back on, and it WON'T START! the kill switch is not engaged, so that's not it! Also, he didn't want to switch out the factory oil w/10-40, til after it wouldn't start from just one trip. Well, we then switched it, and he made 2 short trips, and Now, it WON'T start AGAIN! Hate this thing that came with ZERO instruc... or any video cd's or links. Bought from Powersportsmax.

SO MUCH FUCKING WORK. It would take a whole Saturday! I'm glad there are websites out there that offer free PDI & Assembly.
But if you do the work yourself, you know where things are located if they go wrong.

Wow this is putting me off ordering a new scooter, if i need a mechanic to do this how the hell will i bring them the box? do i drag it to them? wtf
Less than $60 in tools from Walmart and a bit of common mechanical ability you could save $$.
well yeah sometimes you do stuff like that the In a Box mopeds are sometimes light enough to drag around if the tires/wheels are on and you have trouble cranking them they can be wheeled around/pushed
