As a former protestant (18 years in a non-denominational Church) who just converted to Catholic Church last year,I had felt very painful and confused about those horrible events exposed almost everyday recently.I could not go to church for almost a month.Yesterday,I heard an inner voice within my heart:”Maybe it’s time for you to think more seriously about what’s the core reason you want to become a catholic ?”. If it’s only because of the good role model of a clergy,or good image of church member identity, then I am not a real follower of Jesus. If I change church again trying to find another “perfect” church with splendid fame, then maybe it’s me who are doing the “idol worshipping”. I went to our little Catholic Church in a Taiwan small town neighborhood yesterday and happily found out that almost everyone had come to attend the mass. Our priests, brothers and sisters in our church..... they are sincere, good people who love God and help each other like a family.I am not going to abandon them!
Yes,we all are “church”.Yes,we shall stay and encourage each other;repent and pray to God to heal us,guide us ;fast so that our mind and souls shall be more clear and strengthened by God to fight against any evilness coming;wait for and then support our trusted church leaders to unite us taking action to overcome evil with good under the guidance of The Holy Spirit. This is the worst time, but it is also the best time for us the catholic faithfuls to re-examine our faith and make sure it’s going to be built on the only true solid rock - our Lord Jesus Christ,His life,His words,His truth and His way!

There are those who can't fathom why so many would stay with the Church after all that has happened. Your comment gives a very deep and clear response. Not much more needs to be said.

I left the church for 35 years and returned..and now,I,know what,I had missed out the most...receiving the Holy Eucharist...i now .cherish every mass and every time I receive Jesus in the form of,bread. He loves us so much that He wants to,give Himself to all who are willing to accept Him. I'm never ever going to leave again!

Here's my question: Since, according to Scripture, Our Saviour PERMANENTLY INDWELLS US, what exactly is the point of this so-called eucharist as articulated in Roman Catholic doctrine? I await anyone's reply...😎😎😎

True, Jesus permanently indwells us spiritually, yet Jesus Himself, according to John 6:53-57, explains the point of ”this Eucharist”: ”Jesus said to them, Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. Just as the living Father sent me and I live through the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live through me.”

      I'll start it off L C:
The real biggie is that Jesus is present, Body & Blood, Soul & Divinity in the consecrated bread and wine. We are actually in the very physical presence of Our Lord. When we receive the Blessed Sacrament it is most personal relationship we can ever have with Jesus. He is SO humble. Out of our own humility we, in the Traditional Latin Mass at least, kneel and receive Our Lord on our tongues. We are literally fed Jesus.
We can experience God in so many ways since he is everywhere and in all things (except for things perverted by our sinfulness), but there is no other way to get so very close to Jesus. Even having Jesus dwelling within the temple of the Holy Spirit (our bodies) we still, out of sin and distraction, can never remain so very close to Him as we do at The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
Now let others make my muddled writing a little more clear.
Thank you so much for asking and God bless you.
      - Reg

There is no scandal greater than one in Twelve turning traitor against Jesus Himself. Yet that one did not in any way damage the credibility or authenticity of the other Eleven. Nor will the traitors among our leadership today to the good priests and bishops who continue to faithfully serve despite the prejudicial generalities drawn by those who hate the Church.

Let's not forget and underestimate though the anti-Vatican II media and those behind the scenes that fund them. They spread fake news like cancer in the form of sly sophistry. with their subtle half-truths and gossip, manipulating and recruiting gullible minds into believing they stand for the better Truth!
The new followers of Diotrephes instrumentalize nowadays even these scandals to foment further division and dissension, and only for their own selfish ambitions and personal vendetta.
The aforementioned media welcome them with open arms, and these become their new pulpit's platform.

Fr., What are your thoughts on Our Lady of Akita's remarks pertaining to ”bishop against bishop and cardinal against cardinal..." Is this what we are living through present day? Is Akita an extension of Fatima? Would love to hear your thoughts on this with what's going on in the church.

    • @fr.williamnicholas955
      @fr.williamnicholas955  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

I am not knowledgeable of Our Lady of Akita, but I can say that there is no event of "Our Lady", be it Fatima, Guadalupe, Lourdes, or Akita that tells us ANYTHING that Jesus has not already either said, or called us to has his followers. When Our Lady appears, it is at a time when Catholics are lacking in something and needed a reminder. Lourdes came (in France) after the French Revolution, Reign of Terror, Napoleonic wars and Barricade Riots, with a message of Healing. Guadalupe came during a time of exploration and colonization and conquest with a message of Evangelization. Fatima came during World War I with a message of Peace, etc. Nothing Mary tells us in any appearance is something new.
As Jesus told us at the end of John 6, there are devils among us, whether Judas then, or those who cause such scandal today (whether priest, bishop or layperson who fails to live up to the Gospel standards Jesus has given us and, in fact, use the Church as a means and the context in which they betray). Jesus told us that the world would hate us, and a world that hates us is certainly using this time of scandal to attack the Church. We who remain faithful must also remain strong. Nothing is happening that Jesus did not PROMISE would happen. In fact, He said: "The one who holds out until the end are the ones who will see salvation." - Matthew 24:13
Personally, I ask that the good people stay and fight. Encourage those who are discouraged, reach out to those who are victims, be a source of healing, encouragement and empowerment "that their faith may never fail" (Luke 22:32). Don't just leave it to the priests and bishops. Join them and help them!
Now is not a time for the good to abandon the Church to the evil that seeks to bring it down. Now is the time to root it out (without becoming busybodies who "throw the baby out with the bathwater") and fight for the honor of the Church that Jesus founded. "Mary" and "John" stood at the foot of the Cross and did not abandon Jesus, but you notice in John's Gospel they are NEVER identified (they are "the Mother of Jesus" and "the Disciple Whom Jesus Loved") which elevate them a symbol of all disciples and therefore all of Mother Church standing at the foot of the Cross. We must continue this today. The Mother and the Beloved Disciple continue to stand with Jesus in and through our own loyalty to the Church; we also must stand at the foot of the Cross and not abandon Jesus, who is present in the Church, when He, through the Church, continues to be crucified because of the betrayal modern "Judases".
      Hope this made sense.

      Beautiful testimony.
6 months ago I started attending Mass. Becoming Catholic has been a very eye opening experience.
Many arguments Protestants make about Catholic Beliefs are complete misrepresentations of Catholic Beliefs.
I open up the Catholic Catechism and read out the doctrine, and they’ll always say, I heard a Priest say...
They never address the true Catholic Doctrine.
Anyway, what’s happening is horrifying with the Child Molesting Priests, and now even the Pope accused of covering up.
      But the Doctrine remains true.

Why do you feel lost outside of CC? Our life is supposed to be found in Jesus rather than a church? We go to Him in prayer. We go to Him to receive grace to live out our walks. We go to Him to receive the forgiveness of sins. We go to Him for direction. Those who are led by the Spirit these are the sons of God (Romans 8:14).

Had many opportunities to leave The Church, but mysteriously I remained in communion with Rome despite scandals and typical objections from my protestant brothers and sisters. I am learning my faith now, and I have realized that God had been giving me enough faith to not to walk away from Him (from the Church). Thank you, Lord!

God is omnipotent and very understanding. He teaches us what is right and what is wrong. However, he recognises our faults but will not force us what to believe and not to believe, Even though God is God, He respect our decision. That's why some want to leave the church because of the sin of pride you leave the church, it's your own prerogative. But don't expect to be save at the last judgement. You have already choose your own judgement which is heaven or hell.

In the Creed we say “I believe in the Church, that is one, SAINT....” The Lord said He would be with us, with His Church each day till the end. We have Faith or we have not???? Having Faith when things are smooth and cool is very easy. In the dark times is when the Faith is proved, and these times are dark enough... Our Mother has already triumphed on the devil! We know we play in the winning team, come on! It is the moment of staying strong in prayer and penance, all together, and with great Faith and Hope in the Lord.

People who seek to comfort themselves rather than to serve god unselfishly will walk away. The catholic religion is one of the most beautiful things i have ever seen in my life. I serve God, not myself. I refine myself according to Gods will not refine God according to my will. I do this out of love for god not because i am looking for something to fulfill my own self. There is turmoil in the head of the church yes. There is scandal, but ask yourself why and who is responsible. Priests are humans so they are susceptible to attack just like us. Satan attacks his greatest advisory, not the people or religions he already owns. The catholic church is a direct threat to the devil. The greatest way he can destroy them is to infiltrate the priests and use them against their own people. You need to recognize this. You also need to recognize that while some priests have fallen many have grown closer to the cross during these times of tribulation. We need to do the same and stand firm in the face of evil and show or fellow catholic and christian family that we will be faithful to God. Catholic or Christian, non catholic, we need to stop focusing on our difference and focus on what we have in common. United we stand!

Satan always attacks his greatest enemy. We must pray for his enemies.
Satan has the pope (every pope) right in his cross hairs. We must especially remember to pray for the Holy Father. Satan attacks all of us but he is most fearful of Christ's vicar on earth (other than his great fear of both Our Lord and His Mother).

I also find the attacks on Catholic Priests repugnant and unwarranted, Christine. The grand majority are good and holy men whom dedicate their lives to God and to us, their flock. Remember, though, hating those people is not what Jesus would have done. Instead, pray for those that unjustly criticize our Priests and our Church, and charitably correct them whenever possible. Then live your faith as an example to them and invite them to Latin Mass or another Church function. God bless!

Remember, the Titanic sank. The Church will NEVER sink. There isn't an iceberg large enough for that (and hell is too hot for any icebergs to get big enough).
I would hardly call this a time of "no answers". God's answers are loud and clear: "Stay rooted in the faith." It is those shallow charlatans who are not rooted in the substance of this faith who lead the Church into the temporary darkness it finds itself in now.

Fr. William Nicholas -thank you so very much for your words of encouragement! I guess this hit personally n a big way - cradle catholic - close fam&friend priest(s) . Spouse & I made reportS 1980-1981; got royally persecuted for it ---even complicating a pregnancy due to the stress....but God reigned. In 2002 I received a telephone apology a few days after announced (HE) was was removed---THANKFULLY!!! Since 1980 was not a child - they did not care!!!!! Then in 2003 went to defend on what was a case of "swiss cheese" and went on family vacations with us for years during the time of accusation. After three months of "HELL" - because I can't imagine that being worse - and a Review Board of laity and the priest's pastor being a man of integrity -- unlike the chancery that wanted us locked out Jan 27, 2003 but we followed letter carrier into the warmth & sat down quietly. Receptionist said to a 50 & 60 year old "if you don't go back outside, I am going to call the police." I told her to do so & I would call the Daily News to publicize that mothers came to see a rep & you refused us. (I had letters of defense from my young adult & minor children). FINALLY two people came down to reluctantly meet us and the look of disappointment & annoyance that they were not accusation letters. He was thankfully 100% vindicated as nothing lined up. I was relentless in my fight but it took its toll on my health big time! Then in March-April 2002 between my friends and myself - priests from our parishes were caught - night after night - then a grand jury report came out etc and it was easy to figure out who was whom because they did not print any names. That was so traumatizing to me that I know NO need to read PA as it doesn't directly involve my family and myself. Honestly, a few priests have even said to me in 2018 before these recent fiascos that my still being in the pews (and active) is definitely a miracle!! Long ago I separated the institutional church from JESUS. Sometimes a priest's humanity is all too human 😣 and I learned to NOT to deal with it consistently but to "speak up at the moment of what feels disrespectful or controlling demeanor". I am very sensitive in that area or when people act like but Father said etc....and I have no problem saying, "and - Father is wrong!!!!! I have been blessed with some extra-ordinary wonderful priests in my life but have gotten emotionally scared by the church too. My two PROFESSIONAL 30 yr old offspring also are regularly in the pews and live the precepts of our church and search for relatable church communities where their home, vacation & careers bring them -- that too is GOD....I know....& all the prayers of our ancestors. At least this time around my broken hearted elders are safely home with God and not dealing with my scandal & anger like all the times before. Sorry to write so much but MAYBE it will give others courage to stay in spite of obstacles. Trying not to despair with my church, my government & just knowing that life will never return to the innocence we once knew. God writes straight w/crooked lines, I know but I so fear that our dirty house will turn my own away and then another two generations will be lost. My Goddaughter's family and best friends stopped going in 2002 & I tried to encourage changing it but now I will NEVER approach the subject again. It feels like the Titanic so THANK YOU FATHER!!!!!!!! Jesus I Trust in you! You dealt with your best friends abandoning you & I deal with this generation of "losers" / or maybe just "sickies" but don't feel the compassion of Jesus right now EXCEPT for the victims - mainly the directly abused & those (like me), that were extremely ill treated by a church I once loved......... Jesus turned over the tables in the Temple & I can see Him pulling out files and separating the weeds from the wheat !!! SHALOM!!

Fantastic teaching. One of the benefits of the chaos due to anti-religious treatment by the government, the Marxist and anarchists attacks, and the pandemic is that I have come to terms with what was very depressing. I concluded that these larger issues are above my pay grade.. that which is within scope of Angels to manage, and I am only responsible for my individual acts such as attending mass and confession to the extent able, voting, behaving like a child of God, and telling people about Jesus. As Jesus said to Marta.. you only have to worry about one thing. Thank God for the Catholic Church.

One should be wary of what one labels "traditional" when it comes to Catholicism. The so-called "tradition" that "traditional Catholics" refer to is not even 500 years old; less than one-fourth the history of the Church. On the other hand St. Cyril of Alexandria (4th century) gives an instruction on how to receive Communion in the hand (Catechesis) and St. Justin Martyr (2nd Century) presents an outline of the Mass that is almost exact to what we do today post-Vatican II (First Apology).
There is, however, no tradition older than martyrdom, the giving of one's life for the faith, and the act of sticking with the Church through thick and thin regardless of what happens from within and from without. Those who left the Church, considering Vatican II liberal or heretical, or to call priests, bishops or even the Pope as "apostate" are not engaging in any traditional practice, but are rather abandoning the Church (the definition of apostasy) over a language, a gesture, a communion rail, a taste in music, etc. One can only imagine how they would react to an outright persecution.
Note, I am no fan of some of the outlandish practices we are all aware of that have been seen in some so-called "celebrations" of Holy Mass, but to equate current notions of "tradition" with those who, even today, continue to suffer and die for the faith, as well as with those who do NOT leave the Church or declare people "heretics" or "apostates" over such aesthetics as I mentioned above let alone a time of persecution (or even scandal), is to degenerate and objectify those who have died for this faith, and those who continue to give the last full measure of devotion to Christ and His Church, an observance of a truer tradition than the Latin Mass will ever be.
Finally, just because it happened during a particular era does not make Vatican II a product of the '60s and '70s any more than Christianity is a product of the Greco-Roman paganism of that era.

John 8: 31 Then Jesus said to those Jews, who believed him: If you continue in my word, you shall be my disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
The Truth is not something, it’s someone (Jesus Christ) and I won’t leave Him because He won’t ever leave me. Jesus is the Head, and since the Church is His Mystical Body here on earth, I’m staying with her and my prayer is that others will do the same.
Praying the Rosary is something we could all do to strengthen our Faith. I encourage anyone reading this who hasn’t tried it before to give it a try... you won’t regret it. I personally also like to pray the Prayer of Saint Michael (shorter version)...it’s a shame it is not prayed at Mass as was originally intended by Pope Leo XIII.
If we persevere, this is our reward...the Beatific Vision:
Matthew 25:34 Then shall the king say to them that shall be on his right hand: Come, ye blessed of my Father, possess you the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
As usual, a wonderfully inspiring homily Father. We are so blessed to have you. I am praying for you Father. God Bless you and thank you❣️😊🙏

Lukewarm Christianity is the norm in the world today.
I was born and raised a Catholic and my father who was a Physician got involved in the church, was a Knight of Columbus and named in Rome a "Presbitero".
He served the Lord faithfully till the day he died (45 years) by preaching, free medical services to the poor and a life living the gospel. No talk but action!
Now my point. I used to be a sinner believing in God, but not knowing Him. That is no more.
Neither was I aware of how troubling and deep were the sins of our church.
This lasted thousands of years with in between periods where the reins of the church were in the hands of saints and many other pious people throughout the church's history but the fact remains.
And sorrowful as it sounds as prophesied by a Pope the smoke of Satan has penetrated the church, The Vatican!
Covert Masons, Liberals and wolves in sheep's clothes.
Vatican II and Pope John XXIII destroyed the traditional church and liturgy and is the cause of the movement of a One World Religion.
Many Bishops, Cardinals and millions of Catholics are scandalized with this Anti Pope Francis I.
You have heard his heresies and blasphemies or have you not.
Are you going to deny that.
You mean well but are not strong in what has to be said.
You talk about communion which I veneer, but there are still priests, Cardinals, Bishops and Catholics that are not fit to receive the sacrament yet it is given.
The analogy of the sermon of the mount is incorrect.
Catholics are leaving the church and have become lukewarm because of the scandals that still persist.
Just like the Jews broke the first Covenant so has the Catholic Church done with hers.
Both will be judged because we are Judeo Christians.

sometimes seems to me like some musical concert going on...
The beauty of the Catholic church is there is complete worship..taking part in the celebration of the Eucharist..
The Priest who stands there has sacrificed and dedicated his whole life to serve the Lord ..why do we need another church when I get peace here ....
I pray to you Lord..protect our priests and religious..Amen.

Luke 9:27 - Jesus says that there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the “kingdom of God.” Jesus speaking of the coming Catholic Church. Where our bodies become New Covenant temples. The Catholic Church that Satan has so much hatred for, because it is the only place on earth where we receive the Most Holy Eucharist.
The Church founded by God, that is here in this world by God' Authority.
Matt. 13:47-50 - God’s plan is that the Church (the kingdom of heaven) is a net which catches fish of every kind, good and bad. God revealed this to us so that we will not get discouraged by the sinfulness of the Church’s members. (Scripture Catholic Apologetics.)

I seriously thought of leaving but all I could say is "but where will I go?" The Church that Jesus built is still here today, just the players have changed. God could zap those players out of existence and refill every position if He deemed fit. The church has had lots of scandals over these 2000 years...and has over-come them. Jesus said He would never leave or forsake His Church. His church just needs some cleaning and then what is left are those of us who are faithful and true to Him.
~St. Nicholas von Flue (15th century):
“The Church will be punished because the majority of Her members, high and low, will become so perverted. The Church will sink deeper and deeper until She will at last seem to be extinguished, and the succession of Peter and the other Apostles to have expired. But, after this, She will be victoriously exalted in the sight of all doubters.”

To abandon the Church is abandoning Christ. The Bridegroom is never separated from His Bride.
The Hierarchy serves the Laity not the other way around. The higher up the ladder the Hierarchy are the more people the serve. It's the Laity that holds the real power not the Hierarchy. What makes them a shepherd is their flock.
The Laity can put pressure upon the Hierarchy several ways. They can write a letter to their Bishop and they can withhold donations. I still wouldn't discontinue giving to Catholic Charities but by withholding donations to your Parish is also going to effect the Diocese and the Vatican. Financial pressures I guarantee you will bring about change. The Parish Priests will be forced to put pressure upon their Bishops and these Bishops will put pressures uopn all the way to the top the Pope himself to take action.
Abandoning the Church is not the answer, giving up is not the answer. Trying to bring about change within the Church is the answer.

Leaving the Catholic Church is not an answer for me..yes I have heard so many many people say it " come out of her."..referring to a scripture from revelation, suppose to be meant for catholics according to them. .. i don't believe this was meant for the Catholic Church alone but rather for all Christian denominations who are living in the babylonian system . ..but I stand on the scripture that says nothing will come against it - the Catholic Church ....as we r the very church that Jesus build spiritually brick by brick whatever we have whether it is the prayers or the sacraments are all given by Jesus to the disciples before he was crucified n during the years he kept adding to it example the sacred heart n the divine mercy besides many more other prayers (“And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” matt16. 18) this is what I believe... as being catholic for me the body and blood of my Lord Jesus Christ in the Eucharist is that matters and for that reason only I'll be there in the catholic church till he comes again...and I appeal to all catholic put the blood of Jesus everyday on the tabernacles as asked by Archangel Michael who at Fatima was holding a chalice in his left hand, with the Host suspended above it, from which some drops of Blood fell into the chalice. Leaving the Chalice and the Host suspended in the air, the Angel knelt down beside us and made us repeat three times:
‘Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly and I offer Thee the Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of the same Son Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for all the sacrileges, outrages and indifferences by which He Himself is offended. And by the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners.’ Then, rising, he took the Chalice and the Host in his hands. He gave the Sacred Host to me, and shared the Blood from the Chalice between Jacinta and Francisco, saying as he did so: ‘Take and drink the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, horribly outraged by ungrateful men! Make reparation for their crimes and console your God.’ this is taken from the Fatima apparitions ...I hope u all b strong n repent daily wash in the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord n make offering of yr day whether it was good or a not so good day offer all to Jesus...God bless all the catholic who r struggling at this time give them courage n boldness n strength to bear it to the Lord...in Jesus Christ Holy name I pray ...Amen
Father William Nicolas may you continue to do the work of our Lord Jesus n b a shining light for all. May u be protected by his Holy Angels n the Holy Hedge of fire protection I ask for u...may the precious blood of Jesus Christ our Lord cover u always may his glory light lead you in this dark times...blessings n prayers always in Jesus name Amen

Actually, over the centuries the Catholic Church has invented the University System (the first educational system that had international recognition of its degrees) and, stemming from the theological studies of God as creator as one of the fields studied in said universities became the mother of Modern Science (study of God as creator included the study of the laws ingrained in creation). The father of geology, hydraulics, genetics and the Big Bang theory (to name just a few) were all Catholic priests. So I would hardly state the Catholic Church "deliberately kept the people ignorant." The Catholic Church invented the school system (and gave access to education to the poor, not just the nobility), the hospital system and introduced due process to an era of absolute power of life and death exercised by monarchs and the nobility. (BTW - Galileo was hounded for breach of contract, not for his theories - which Einstein demonstrated were completely erroneous). No system or institution is perfect, but open a book now and then and you might actually learn just how much you owe to the Catholic Church's history.

Now you left salvation by leaving the church...He can save people from other faith who were born like that so its not their fault being born out of the catholic faith..but thise born catholic cant leave by destroying the faith and feel holier than thou.

Father William, I love you and your sermons, but, I disagree with applying the label "sexist" to that command. It's not sexist, it's sensible, natural and essential for a successful marriage, but only when, in fact, the man to whom the woman shall be subordinate is he, himself, following and subordinate to God. And yes, the man must, in return, love his wife as much or more than he loves himself and as Christ loved his Bride, The Church. Placating the Left and the neo-Catholics by including in your sermons ingratiating, Leftist buzz words like "sexist" is unnecessary and detracts from this most important message. Thank you for your wonderful YT channel, Father William!

    • @fr.williamnicholas955
      @fr.williamnicholas955  6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

The label of "sexist" was done in sarcasm (to mock, not placate the Left and neo-Catholics) and was meant to accompany the story of the husband that came shortly after, which illustrated that the passage is not sexist at all, especially in the manner it is accused of being today - (I even knew a pastor who declared that reading from Ephesians "banned" in his parish, and would read a different second reading that Sunday (my eyes are rolling right now as I write this). Unfortunately with only audio this can sometimes be lost without the accompanying facial expressions and roll of the eyes. Thanks loads for your comment!

    • @kpn5000

I'm sorry, thank you for clarifying, Father William, my mistake! I am relieved to hear this was sarcasm, and, yes, sometimes it's difficult to catch without visuals. :) I hope the Pastor to whom you refer was not a Catholic Priest. I expect such ridiculous things from protestant sects/pastors, but, perhaps I underestimate the damage done by Vatican II and the Novus Ordo Church?

    • @fr.williamnicholas955
      @fr.williamnicholas955  6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

Alas, it was a Catholic pastor, but try not to lose faith in the Novus Ordo Church. I am a Vatican II, Novus Ordo priest and can certainly vouch for it's reverence when done correctly (which MUST include the people's participation - i.e. singing and responses - and the proper training of ministers - priests and laity). The problems we see with the current Mass is the lack of seriousness in some (many) of the priests who celebrate it more like a free-for-all social gathering rather than an act of worship, and laity who also treat it as such. If we return to Latin Mass only, those same priests will do to the Latin Mass what they have done to the Novus Ordo (and Latin will not make the lay faithful arrive on time, stay till the end, dress properly and make their children behave, or even come to Mass every Sunday). Pray for proper leadership (liturgical and otherwise) in the current generation of priests and (please, God) upcoming generation of bishops.

I'm trying Father William, I'm trying. I wish they would bring back the Latin Mass, it was totally unnecessary to do away with it after 1600+ years of worship. Novus Ordo Mass is protestantized, though, I will agree that it can be palatable when done reverently and when a decent choir is present (as it is in our Cathedral). But, the Latin Mass and Aramaic Mass are the true form Masses, Vatican II simply removed and changed too many critical elements when creating the Novus Ordo Missae. Some days, it is hard not to jump on board with the Dimond Brothers and others like them that point out the many heresies in Vatican II, but, I will try to keep faith and hope for some serious housecleaning in the very near future, starting with Pope Francis. Those in the Vatican need to stop sowing confusion at every turn, stop trying to please those in open rebellion against the one true Church, and start living out and preaching the true Catholic Faith, Pre-Vatican II style. Sorry, I hope I don't offend you or any other conservative/traditionalist Vatican II Priests, it is not your fault that Church leaders and their Freemason pals decided to openly attack and try to destroy our Church back in the 1960's. God bless, and I look forward to many more of your videos.

P.S. I do think returning to the Latin Mass would change many of the things you listed above in your comment. The Latin Mass in our parish is so beautiful and reverent that it often brings me to tears. We are very blessed to have several very traditional Parishes that is still in communion with Rome . The Novus Ordo Missae is part of why I spent two decades outside the Church, I am ashamed to admit. The Latin Mass commands respect and reverence, and is beautiful even when celebrated by a less than skilled Priest. The Latin Mass brought me/us back to the Church and has rekindled my soul and desire to know and love God again. Please bring back the Latin Mass! :)

It is a good thing that you leave. Truly, unless your whole mind and heart can accept Catholicism, you have a moral duty to leave. The unfortunate thing is that you are leaving, not for truth, but for your opinion. Your understanding of scripture amounts to your own opinion of what it says. History shows that your opinion is wrong. Still, it is a good thing you leave. The reality is that, if you cannot discern the truth, then your opinion is all you have, and we all know about opinions.
