One thing I find funny about Drake is how badly he wants to be a thug. He wants to be a thug so bad that he went out of his way to get actual mob ties. He didn't need that lifestyle. The thing is you wants to feel accepted by your peers . That's why a lot of predominantly alot you young Guys that in tough areas wants to be street. I mean would you want to br called lame , corny , nerd by your peers?. While everybody is clowning you or not accepting you for how you are ? Think about it. Nobody wants to be called a lame realistically people want to fit in especially when your that young in school . Just a opinion then you gotta remember that those are the guys that alot of women are into too . Not saying all of them are into that but a lot of them are. I mean you don't hear a chick. saying she want a corny, nerd nigga lmao not where I'm from. People want to feel accepted nobody wants to be outkast or loner that has no friends or relationships. As you get older you do mature from that personally I'm a loner but I don't get as mad as I used to by that because I'm older now/ matured from responsibilities.

I think people really misunderstand what high self esteem is. People know that people with low self esteem will think "I'm the worst, I don't deserve love, I can't do anything" and naturally assume people with high self esteem esteem are thinking "I'm the best, I deserve everything, I can do whatever I want." But in reality people with high self esteem just don't think about themselves very much.

I can't remember which person I heard say this, but they have a theory that sometimes, whatever age someone becomes famous is the age they stay mentally. Next he seems to be the poster child for the "tragic mulatto trope" when he talks about growing up biracial in a Jewish environment. Then said his childhood Black friends didn't see him as Black. Add in Daddy issues for a little razzle dazzle, and this is how we have Aubrey.

Dunno who said that, but being famous / rich at a very young age can be like hard drugs and too much to deal with. Drake has the vibe of real-life Dorian Gray, even for years before this and even aside from all the allegations. Wrote about this elsewhere but: Drake got famous making music about love and emotions or heartbreak that even got him the "sensitive rapper" moniker, but has now spent a decade as this giant star where i cant remember the last time i've seen him do anything that looked like it showed an actual emotion beyond insecurity and pettiness and self-aggrandizement in all that time, especially about love. It's like someone who cared so much about looking hard and chasing pleasures that, because they thought real love and heartbreak looked weak, decided it was better to lose the capability at all
When's the last time he seems to have had any genuine emotions about any women besides just chasing an endless list of women as status symbols and feeling wronged or slighted or threatened by women over petty shit. For the guy that first got famous off a song like Best I Ever Had, made "sweatpants, hair tied, chilling with no make-up / that's when you're the prettiest" into a catchphrase, we haven't seen him show genuine emotion in YEARS aside from trolling. Flaunting wealth, trying to take taken women not because he even likes the women but because he's getting off on the concept of dominance play over other men over some insecurities over not feeling like enough of a man when he was a kid
The Picture of Dorian Gray says Dorian is "enthralled by the hedonistic worldview that sensual fulfillment is the only thing worth pursuing in life... Dorian expresses the desire to sell his soul. The wish is granted, and Dorian pursues a libertine life of varied amoral experiences while staying young". And now we see an almost 40-year-old whose entire life is vacationing with drinks beautiful settings or clubs or mansions or posing with celebrity women or trolling for memes, culture-vulturing to pump out commercial algorithm-tuned music to make more money to fuel the lifestyle. Who has shown no actual emotions except pettiness and resentment in years. Plastic surgery to look fitter and younger. Not seeking deeper fulfilments like love and family, but just a life that's not *lived* as much as meticulously crafted and curated for Instagram
Except it's in reverse where the painting is what we see. The Drake that we see and know is champagnepapi IG Drake, the carefully curated hedonistic party animal billionaire with a parade of celebrity friends and women, ab etchings and pout and photo filters and vacation settings for a look curated to be unchanging, constant, the biggest star on the planet. Never aging, never taking responsibility, never growing up. The Drake we dont see is the Drake in the attic, is the real Drake, the person behind the curation. This Drake is something that in theory can't last. You expect any given billionaire playboy to have wound down and found love and settled by this age, there's only so long you can stave off time until you're actually old without a family around you, unless you're Dorian Gray and you can just keep going. This beef was like the painting being slashed. (And I meant this as a metaphor at first but after seeing how tired and old and sleep-deprived he looked at Rick Rubin's 4th of July party photo, it almost feels literal)

Take J. Cole for instance, showing his maturity and self awareness by recognising the absurdity of a "Big 3" debate and utter silliness of a "rap beef" between men in their mid to late 30s, and the effect of it to his family. So he apologized to Kendrick and squashed the beef.
As opposed to Drake, who is always willingn to put his "loved" ones in the crossfire of the rap beefs he gets involved in. Having rappers name drop and disrespect his mom, dad, son and heritage all the time.
It just seems to me, Drake doesn't truly care nor consider his family's feelings, so he just uses them as props to entertain a bunch of strangers who listens and buys his songs, so he can make more money.

My mom wasn’t perfect either and did not have the tools to help us overcome that trauma emotionally and spiritually. These are life lessons you learn as a young adult. If you haven't figured this stuff out by the time you're in your mid-30s, you'll probably be that way for the rest of your life. You can't teach an old dog new tricks. He may not be from the hood, but from the perspective of a human being, his life is still a tragedy. The fame, the fortune, the adoration from his fans are just icing on a burnt cake.

you ate that up, NO CRUMBS. The way a internal lack of self worth, and poor spiritual health, creates overcompensation and insatiable need for status needs to be talked about more widely. Not only with Drake but with all of celebrity culture and the powerful world figures too

Drake's father didn't accept him so the reason he's been constantly dropping albums is bc he's addicted to the love he's never had no matter if its fake love. He's constantly trying to be accepted by EVERYONE and they culture, UK, Jamaica, South, LA, NY, but i think he's lost himself in that and doesn't know who he is so it's unsatisfying and now he's envious of families and breaking up families bc he dnt know what genuine love is or how to give it bc the persona he's had to put on to get any type of love is not really the real Aubrey. Drake gotta find Aubrey n not worry about what others think n focus on getting love from the ppl that matters most bc a person without that would struggle to find a reason worth living for if they lost the mundane shh. Smh dawg situation is CRAZY right now to bc how can you even take time off to heal mentally in a deal like he in knowing that if you cant pay them ppl what you owe in currency they will collect in souls whether its yours or someone close that you love. Got damn Drake smh. Bro definitely needs a spiritual connection to the creator right now instead of partying bc addiction for him could get bad n and when you're on drugs is when spirits talk to you n can taint your mind into harming yourself. Ayahuasca is actually one solution. Drake would probably be to stubborn to do it now that Kenny mentioned it tho. I hope he pulls it together for his son, bc that's who really need em to break the cycle.

This was a beautifully articulated video! @CurtissKingTV made a similar comment about how this was a spiritual battle as much as a rap battle.
Lyrics that immediately come to mind:

"Oh you thought the money, the power, the fame would make you go away?"

The ones whos parents lived the hip hop rap culture, and was schooled, knew he was the poster boy for sorry, not sorry , you are only here for entertainment. Not longevity. You have your billions, boy buy. Go be happy😂😂😂😂😂or not. More money, more problems. You should've studied Drake. The culture been said it. 👋

Drake came as a rapper, talked about his problems and impacted a lot of people with that vibe, but he wasn't seen as a real rapper, because rappers "are supposed to be hard", not being recognized by other rappers in the industry made him change, and he, he had access to girls by not being soft and talking about it to gain respect because he knew how to write in a way where you would understand if you had the ears, but also almost every rapper does this, almost all rappers talk about the girls they smash and the things they go through, so I think you are isolating a lot only to drake and not in the rap industry
