- The RV renovation is really coming along, so it's time to put our walls back up! It feels good to finally be putting our vintage gal back together.👌 But in true Eric and Allison fashion, we made (quite) a few mistakes, but luckily it was nothing we couldn’t undo. 😅

Use corrugated cardboard packaging on the concrete floor when working on the floor a lot more comfortable and not as cold. I use it when working under the car.
I wired my backup camera to the rear clearance lights. That way when driving all I have to do is turn on the park lights and monitor traffic behind while driving down the highway. Not just reverse.
It's just brilliant how you've modified the channel during the pandoomic. Your building, editing and hosting skills will be all the better for it when this is over. I love the travel videos, but this is great stuff too!
Living in Sweden, I can't help but smile at their excitement about a tiny layer of snow ❄️
Where they live they are in an area where the rain/snow line is so most of the time it is rain or ice; not the best area when it comes to winter or spring storms; can be a very dangerous area.
I was Taxiing in the UK and picked up a couple of Fin's. I said it was a really cold day, then one of my passengers told me the temperature they had left behind. Ha ha ha, talk about ending a conversation quickly.
@@sandwormgod4771 Haha, it's the same with people from Northern Sweden, they always tell you how cold it is back home. But I claim that our cold is worse because the air is humid along the coast (I live in Gothenburg).

Guys I have seen in a lot of videos that they used some cardboard as a stencil to cut the actual planks of wood. Love you guys!! Love From India
Just a suggestion regarding the glue bond you use from having done several project like this in the past..
Wood glue is good..but not water proof nor as strong as other adhesives. A 'no more nails' or other similar adhesive would be a far better and stronger alternative.
This has been cool to watch Eric and Alison you've done a great job.

The humble road channel talks about using cardboard to measure things 1 to 1. I never knew why but after watching your videos it makes sense.

That Eric and Allison are always cheerful despite setbacks is heartening in this very strange time. Once the RV is finished I can imagine them being so sick of it that they do a Thelma and Louise with it, though jumping out themselves first of course - only joking !

Y'all are just a trip, love your video contents, I have been watching y'all's videos on this conversion and remodel on this RV, so much fun watching and makes my day 😊😉👍 anyway, also watching for so ideas because soon I'll be obtaining a 26ft x 8 ft 5th wheel RV camper that'll need some cleaning and remodeling inside too, it's not bad, just needs a bit of TLC and some restoration to it. It'll be my new project along with also working on my 2nd van conversion build I'm also almost half way through the build in it as well. Yeppers, soon will be working on these 2 projects, the RV will not be moved after I get it here in the driveway near the old condemnable house I'm in for only until this RV is done, the the city can do the complete demolition of this old house and clean out this property from all the old yuck so I can start fresh and new on this property that was my dad's 😉👍 anyway, off to work at my job before all else. Do the ceiling and paint before putting the floor in. Don't have to worry about drop cloths when painting if you don't put the floor down first.
It's the year 2045, Eric and Allison are putting the final touches on their endless RV adventure. Keep it up and aim to finish by 2022 :)
With the walls going in it's starting to get easier to picture what it might look like! Can't wait!

I once drove a self tapping screw into my thumb, It didn't bleed until I picked up the DeWALT to back it out. Grabbed some napkins out of the truck from lunch and DUCT taped it on.
These are the kind of projects that excite me 😀 So glad you two decided to do this 👍

Don’t worry about the “chaos” behind the switch plates. That actually looks a lot better than the drywall cuts around electrical boxes in a lot of professionally built homes!

You guys are doing good. This is a long process, but we r with u; rooting you both on. Eric pulls out spliter, cut to next shot, Eric's holding a hammer with no gloves on 🤣😅. I kid Eric. We love ya two!
Great job. It's a good idea to install not one, but two rear camera. Display you have most probably have 2 video input and trigger wire for reverse light. So, point camera 1 to look far. Connect it to input 1 and you got a rearview mirror. Point camera 2 so you can see a rear bumper and connect it to input 2. Connect mentioned wire to reverse light (probably be more easier to connect it to reverse switch on the gearbox, it's closer). Now, when you driving, display shows rear situation as ordinary rearview mirror and when put in R, display switch itself to IN2 and you can see all you need for tight reversing. Offcourse, have to be powered on Ignition. That's how I did on my RV.

I'm in MO also, Eric and Allison, so know the weather you are contending with. All week long, the temps are going to be very, very COLD! Polar Vertex cold. But, that new workspace is so great, and it's heated! So, you are able to keep working. Awesome!

I'm excited about your success on TH-cam, congrats! I love the renovation episodes, I am an RV lover but don't think I would ever undertake what you have, I know I could do it but I just don't want to! I have a 30-year-old C Class, Ford 350 Econoline that drinks gas like a drunk at an open bar, its totally early 90's inside, but it's paid for and it's so fun, it has the fiberglass exterior too and that's looking a little tired, I just don't think it would be the best candidate for a restoration. Thanks, I can't wait for the next episode.
