Alt-right literally means someone on the far right. If you like the alt-right that means you are part of it. Most normal people don't like anyone that's too far left or right because they are normally just being tools of the current powerful families fighting for power. It means you are likely totally bias and eat up all the lies told on the news networks.

I still think Thunderf00t is right about Musk. I think he's been focusing on him because out of eveyrthing he's debunked, Elon keeps getting more and more wealthy, more and more power. All the other things were like, a single kickstarter that raised like $100,000 and then failed. Elon and his company have been getting paid BILLIONS of tax dollars over the years, have been involved in some not always suuuuuper legal activities (Elon himself worked in the US as an illegal alien in the 90s lmao), and now he's cozying up with Trump to get even MORE influence.
So to me, it makes sense that that kind of activity would cause him to focus on him more than anything before. Trump's literally making him the head of a redundant (the GAO already exists) government agency to unironically reduce inefficiency in the government, even though he doesn't exactly have a great track record with handling US tax dollars efficiently.

Of course he would. Musk is a liar and a conman. Thunderf00t is a bit overly obsessed with Musk (I guess it's sort of his job, as a TH-camr), and I am NO Thunderf00t supporter (I haven't been for a very long time, since before his pre-gamer gate obsession I always found him obnoxious with his constant complaining about religion), but if there's ANYTHING about Thunderf00t that is worth giving a pass, it's his criticism of Elon Musk. Everyone in the comments is trying to roast Thunderf00t as "he hates musk but musk doesnt even know who he is!", which is a naive and childish take. Musk is a public person and a con artist. If he had gripes from the perspective of an American I could get it I think.
Personally, I really resent that Musk, a government contractor, will be given a position IN GOVERNMENT to regulate the government's spending - including to branches of government that are the ones REGULATING HIS COMPANIES, much less the ones FUNDING them.
Trump had already said that Elon would have begged him if he said to, so I don't see how Elon being in charge of spending ISN'T a conflict of interest.
I really just wish that SpaceX existed without him as a figurehead, because they do absolutely do cool things, but it's just turned into a chest beating competition now, and his impossible claims get them hyped and then dunked for no reason.
Like, claiming we can just colonize and teraform mars in a couple decades or whatever (claiming we'd already be landed there without having even left low earth orbit yet), etc.
SpaceX is so cool, but the claims just suck, and the conflict of interest is annoying. - and I'd be saying the same thing if the Boeing CEO was appointed, or Lockheed, or ratheon, etc.

But then he started picking the wrong side, and that argument style just makes him sound stupider and stupider.
An example was solar roadways. He had hours of content on how it would break, how it wasn't tested, how it was slippery, how the inventers were idiots. Which was all true. Having been aware of Trump since the late 1970s to early 80s, and especially of the democrat jealousy from the early 90s range with the 'too big to fail' idea, I knew Trump was the best choice by far from even before the escalator.
'Linear logic + 1 or 2 percent chaos' is vastly superior to 'only linear logic'. The reasoning for why is actually kind of trivial, it's funny that so few really understand it. I've known 2 or 3 CEOs who were very similar to Trump, the results are fairly predictable and repeatable.

You wouldn't believe some of the nonsense I've heard out of the mouths of people with post-secondary degrees. Doctors - MDs, PhDs, etc. - are just as gullible as anyone else (except in very small, hyper-specific areas) and almost all of them are either bigots, racists, sexists, elitists, or some combination of the four.

Same. I was a big fan. In fact I'd like to think he was pivotal in my growth as a secular young adult in terms of my political awareness, and of course my general ability to smell bullshit. Solar roadways, Water seer, and such like, those video series taught me to see beyond the immediate technical capabilities of a thing and consider the external factors involved and their implications. Sure, the machine can pull moisture from the air....but there is no moisture in the air where they actually intend to use it. Then I guess it was around the brexit time, things just started feeling less explained, there were fewer scale model demonstrations to prove his point. In particular when it came to brexit a lot of his arguments started becoming circular.
TF is IMO one of the truly great atheist cultural leaders we lost over the last decade, right up there with people like Neil DeGrasse Tyson. Thunderf00t is just chasing the algorithm. He has figured out what a lot of content creators has figured out. It creates a cycle of easy to create react content.

    • @BlenderRookie
      @BlenderRookie หลายเดือนก่อน

@@Astorath_the_Grim I guess that would depend on what you consider stagnating to be. He's gained 50K subscribers this year. It was 60 up until a month ago in which he lost 10K but I think that's a purge of dead accounts. A lot of channels lost subscribers in november. I lost a few hundred. I believe it was a purge.
His video views are mostly stable. He's averaging about 1.3 million a week. With peaks of about 2 million and dips of 700K. But it's random. Over the year it slightly trended down. But I think that's true for most channels. Unfortunately I can see more than a year back on social blade. However, I have scrolled through several years of videos and while the number of views fluctuate, they are doing about the same now as they were 2 years ago and better than they were 3 years ago.
I guess staying about the same falls into stagnation. But sometimes when the creative juices stop flowing, that's when chasing the algorithm helps keep them going.

Yep, he's got one of the oldest and most established channels on YT but has seen next to no growth in decades once he hit a wall and became irrelevant. Now he just watches the stats to see what preforms well and then panders to that niche, it's no longer about making reason criticism, it's about finding ever more petty things to pick on, and when he's wrong about them, simply moving on.
