I'll admit I'm a bad fan right now but I came to hear one of the last performances to a great drummer, an iconic drummer that is available online and u can't fault me for coming to pay respects to a great man. *Teary eyed*
Thank God for HandiCam and cellphone videos. If not for them, many great spontaneous moments in rock would be lost to the sands of time. They are not always the best video or even audio, but sometimes they are like time travel.

As a user of one of those wheelchair things I've avoided going to concerts as you're just never sure what view you're going to get, I've been to football/soccer games where the view is blocked by people standing so assumed concerts could be the same. I should, and will, give it a try one day but until I do videos like this are great to watch. Actually feels like I'm there. I've been youtube-ing foo fighters videos since the news about Taylor broke. Sad sad times, again, Rock in peace Taylor.

I was at the show on Father's Day at MSG, by far the worst tickets I have ever had for the show, yet the best seats I have ever had. It was so great to see a show again, and for it to be the Foo Fighters made it even better. One think I preferred from MSG over the opening of the official tour shows, is that the stage is completely dark when Rami hits the first note, and Dave is lit shortly before he hits the first note for him. Cant wait until they come back to NY, can't make the CT show, and Philly for the official tour shows.

Amazing, what a concert. The Foo Fighters are one great band. Thank you for posting. I have not seen a band like this in a very long time that really knows how to rock n roll. Wow, David Grohl is one fantastic musician. It is shocking that so many of the really great performers can not read music but can really entertain the way they do. It is not important to read music just to play and they sure do play.

I love the Foos. Seen them around 9 or 10 times over the years, but if they cut their jamming down a little they could probably squeeze in about 5 or 6 more songs. Back in the day Stacked actors was the only song they would really extensively jam to. Now it’s pretty much every song.
Probably to save Dave's voice for the next 10 to 15 years. At the age of 52, an extra 5 or 6 songs singing hard like he does will wear that voice out faster. Look at Paul Stanley's voice now and he shared lead vocal duties his whole career.
Omg I agree - they drag out every single song it seems all the damn time. I wish they would just perform them at original song length, or close to it. 7- 10 min live jam sessions are such a pet peeve of mine. Thought I was the only one who thought this about the Foos

Yeah, and you can even hear the accuracy of the sound field when the camera turns briefly at times. One of my favorite renditions of Times Like These. So, meaningful after Covid lock downs.

Someone in the comments mentioned the fewer songs/longer jams were probably to save Dave’s voice. That’s a good point and probably true. The downside though is it was a hell of a lot more taxing on Taylor. I watched a recent McCartney show and one from Pearl Jam and there were probably a couple songs from each set where the drummer was really getting a workout. With Foos shows there’s only a couple songs where Taylor wasn’t. His body had to be feeling it. 😔 #RipTaylor
When I saw them at the end of the last year for the first time I basically fell in love with whole band. Felt a real connection to not only music but the absolute heart and soul given to a performance in Sacramento. They were so god damn amazing live I wanted to see them again and again every year type of thing. Feel bad as there is really no replacing Taylor. You can get another drummer but he truly was a big part of foo fighters. Hope the band will find a way to continue in the future, Taylor would have wanted that.

Who would ever think that the drummer of Nirvana would be so successful and play 2112 so beautifully? Rush is my fav band and he did right by them.
