    Great video! As the host whenever my guests speak it ends up ducking me, cutting off my mic and any music I’m playing. How can I fix this?!

      This was a question of mine-- when a guest co-host is on StreamYard, will I be able to hear them via the RCP1 headphones?

    thanks for sharing this - Can we also use the sound effects presets on the board if we are not on the stage? I'm producing behind the scenes and need to be able to use these buttons while offstage

    I saw your DBX processor…you using that as well? What do you like better?

    • @supplementalsound2690
      @supplementalsound2690  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like both for different reason. The RodeCaster is easier to set up and get going. It is more "plug and play." Whereas, the dbx is an analog processor and certainly has a better preamp. Hard to chose between them, so I bought both. I do use the RodeCaster more because it is just so much easier to turn it on and get going. The dbx needs to be plugged into audio interface, then to computer. The RodeCaster is more convenient, but the dbx gives a more professional sound, if you are really into audio.

    Did you have to download any special drivers for this to work? I have been trying to set up my Caster Pro all day now and my computer doesn't seem to recognize that it is conected to the device.

    Got the answers from the chat feature in Streamyard. See below. SY will record both the call in and sound effects from the Rodecaster but will not produce separate audio files for those elements of the recording. You can get the separate audio files for the call in and sound effects if you record to the Rodecaster Pro at the same time you are recording your SY video. You will get one audio file (not two) for two mics that are plugged into the Rodecaster when recording in Streamyard. You do however get separate audio files for you and each guest. Even if you had 4 mics plugged into the Rodecaster, Streamyard would only see that as one source so you'd still get one audio file. But it's great you'll still have all the separate files on the micro sd card in the Rodecaster that you can record multitrack too.

      That answer is helpful; essentially any/all sound coming out of the RCP1 (mic#1, sound pads, audio line in) will be recorded at least out on SY? That is good with me. (Nothing more frustrating when 1 source of RCP1 audio is not being heard/recorded!)

    Thanks for this video. Do you know if the "call in"( bluetooth/wired phone) feature of the RC Pro will end up in a video recording or the sound effects when RECORDING ONLY in Streamyard. I am just recording, not streaming. Thanks for any insight you could offer or anyone that has an RC pro that uses Streamyard

  • @samfraulino

    I am thinking the channel 1 slider isn't gain, it's volume, there is a difference. Gain setting is amount mic is picking up in the Levels setting that Rode has set for each channel. If you aren't using a cloudlifter, you have to turn that gain up in the Levels section, then also turn volume slide up as well. Just an FYI, I fiddle with mine for months to figure that out.

    • @supplementalsound2690
      @supplementalsound2690  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are correct. The fader is volume. Gain is set in the levels screen for each channel. I may have said something else in the video. I have experimented using the CloudLifter w the RodeProcaster & Rode Caster Pro and I have concluded that is not needed; however, if one wants super clear audio and wanted to add clean gain, that will not introduce noise, I would go w a CloudLifter.

      @@supplementalsound2690 I too have the RCP1 and the ProCaster mic. I found out I don't need the Cloudlifter, but if using something like an iRigPro I do need Cloudlifter.

      It “should” show up in the choices to change the audio to RodeCaster. If it is showing the RodeCaster check sound settings on computer. I will unplug usb & plug back in to computer. Try those things and let me know how it goes.

    I use the rodecaster pro with streamyard and I love the results I am getting. The only issue that I am experiencing is when I livestream to Facebook. Anytime I use the sound pads and one of the guests on my stream starts to speak, the audio gets muddy. I can never hear the “applause” sound effect in the background smoothly. It’s always drowned out and muddy. Any advice?
