Ha ha! I was caught watching my daily Diane fix when I came home from work! “Are you watching someone hoovering?” 🤣
Your hair looks great. When you said “I hope I am not making you dizzy “ I thought of my granddaughter who carries her tablet around when we FaceTime. One day she put the tablet in a box and I was looking at her hair and the ceiling going by. I thought I was in a baby carriage.
Diane, thank you. You´re a love. Today I don´t clean my windows , tomorrow it will be raining in Valencia , but I sweep, I wash floor , I declutter ......... like ALL of you! The Diane force is here.

When I lived at home my mum gave us chores for each week. In the end mum got a lovely cleaner in who did all the chores for us. It was mum's treat for herself when she started back at work.

Diane, You're such a great mentor! This was a great way to show how we can make the FlyLady system work for our individual lifestyles. I personally use the WHB play-list you made a while back. I think there are 5 things with the timer set at 10 min each. That one really works for me and I usually do it E/O week. As the video clips play, I do the blessing right along with you. I like that each one automatically starts up after one is done and it's the perfect amount of time for ea task for me. Bedding is saved for E/O wk-end as well. Thx once again!

Got myself one of those mops recently too... WOW! Has it made a difference to my kitchen floor.. The ease of giving the floor a quick freshen up on a very regular basis makes me feel mush more happier! Dusty floorboards are my nemesis! x

I work some long hours during the week. Changing sheets on Sunday would work better for me. Great! My morning routine makes me feel like Jeeves was at home when I get through the door at night.

I love hoovering with my stick Hoover!! Can’t believe I also love watching others hoovering 🤦♀️ I set the timer for 15 minutes to hoover and dust all the tables, lamps, pictures and baseboards in the foyer and great room and couldn’t believe I actually had time left over! I previously believed it took me an hour to do all that. The timer truly is magical!

I just found out that it takes me exactly 10 minutes to clean the cat litter tray, empty that, and take out the bins and the recycling and the compost! Go me! Now i am looking for the inspiration for the next chore 😊

Hi Diane - following hand surgery, I have my own ‘Jeeves’ (DH) just now who is doing a great job with HBH although he does insist on cleaning all the floors. I can flick a feather duster but have ‘suspended’ detailed Zone Cleaning until I’m more mobile. Can manage daily declutter though even if only a sheet of paper!
You are SO motivating. I don't clean with you though, because I find you very entertaining, so I sit back and watch the show (Liberace) 😉. Thanks, Diane.

Thank you Diane, this was so useful. Where I waste a lot of time is organisation, and I realised with a little tweaking my "upstairs" routine worked well. I beat you on the vacuuming :-) (Bearing in mind my house is half the size of yours lol) Where I lost time and had to just do the bad spots was mopping. I'd barely got the water in the sink and you'd finished lol. I shall look into your vac-mop. @):-

Thank you for clarifying the WHB for us. I always pick up a tidbit of information I missed or overlooked. I have the same skoosh skoosh mop and vacuum as you! I got a new swivel head for my vacuum and it makes so much difference. Little things :) I'm looking at the polished wood of my mother's desk that is now in my living room. It was a good day.
Beautiful home Diane, I have a larger home and deep clean one floor per week. The Weekly Blessing is great for the floor during its "off" week. I use the plan as a blueprint as you mentioned.
Love the "personal Jeeves" thought. We're just being good to ourselves:)

I love to watch your work! :-) Haha!. I watch your videos early in the morning as I have my wake-up tea, and it sets me up for a good day. I especially like that you remind us to tweak the Flylady System to suit our own needs and schedules. I recently had to move my WHB to Tuesdays, as my Mondays got too full of classes! Water exercise, dog training, music (harp): literally morning, afternoon and evening, AND some of those have an hour drive time each way! I also have to clean our second floor weekly too, because my DH has allergies. I now do my main floor on Tuesdays, and our bed and bathrooms on Thursdays. Detail cleaning for the week of the month, as I have time any other day of the week. Thank you so much for keeping us inspired and on-track!

Hi Diane, another lovely video and as always you look fabulous in your polka dot top! That mop looks so useful and so I'm going to keep an eye out and see if I can find a similar one. Chari McHale Hope you are feeling better Chari. I just got over a bug that kept cleaning to less than minimum. Go ahead and just start where you are. Things will very soon be back to normal. Take it easy enough that you don't get sick again. Blessings!

Im redoing the baby steps because being a full time students just sucks away my time. With the weekly home blessing, I find that my apartment gets messy quick because of my cat. By the end of the week there is always a lot of cat hair and I am just wondering if there are any hacks for people with pets? Sometimes I just think once a week isn't enough for me because of this.
Shala Avans I have four dogs and three cats, so I sweep (with a broom) every day to get up the sand and hair and use the carpet sweeper several times a week and the house stays clean enough. It takes me 5 or 6 minutes and I add it to my morning routine.
Thanks for the idea! I don't know why I didn't think of that lol. I tried replacing the 5 min room rescue with sweeping because there aren't many rooms in my apartment that are really bad....but I later found out that replacing it wasn't cutting it. I'll try it out! :)
Great video, Diane, this has helped me realise I've been trying to do way too much during the WHB hour. I'd always included the master bedroom and en suite as a 'main area', so could never understand how I was meant to hoover and mop all floors in the allocated time. Although I look forward to WHB hour on Mondays I also felt 'overwhelm' creeping over me, trying to get everything done in the allocated time, so I decided to try completing it over the week, with a different task each day as you've also mentioned. However, after watching your video today it seems a bit more doable now. Just on another note, would you possibly consider (in the future) doing a short series aimed at flybabies who work outside the home. I often struggle to get my morning routine done before going to work so when I arrive home I already feel like I'm behind (I know part of this is that I just need to get up sooner!) but any advice on suggested routines would be great. Hej Julie, getting up sooner is not the solution, I think. I stand up 5:30 an leave home together with DH 6:10. Just time to get ready and have a cup of coffee while getting ready. So I have just a few routine on my list - open the windows in bedroom and livingroom to let fresh air in,shak up the pillows, make tea for DH which he takes to work an swish and swipe, while I am in the bathroom.
I put more routines on my afternoon- and evening-list.
Don't get overwhelmed

Hi Diane. Here in South Africa during summer I can't have my good clothes on because it's too hot and humid that when I'm finished cleaning I have to have a shower. So adapting to work clothes. Is that okay.
Of course, you can wear what you want to clean. Just remember to change back into "normal clothes" when you are done! LOL

Hi Tamra! No, concentrate on dusting the"high traffic areas" in the 10 minutes, e.g. in the rooms you are using constantly. Not the whole home. The Weekly Home Blessing is a quick, upkeep clean. Detail cleaning is zone work.
Diane in Denmark No wonder I never get to my zones! I have been giving a dust to the whole house and taking more than 10 minutes to do it.

Hi! I've got lots of bedroom cleaning/decluttering videos (see last week's videos for zone 4) so it's not a privacy thing. I detail clean the bedroom when we are in that zone (last week). As I said, I change the sheets in there on Sundays and might do a 2 minute dust. But we don't wear shoes inside/only sleep in there so the bedroom isn't a high traffic area for us. Hope that helps! 👋
I wish my son empty the dishwasher :( he is 18 also , he did his dishes after he eats.
