I have also been battling to fully grasp the hidden truths and meaning behind the "seven statements that Jesus uttered" before he gave up His breath on the cross. The one in particular is where He said to His mother (Mary)..."woman, behold your son", and to the disciple whom He loved (assumed to be John), "behold your mother..." What's intriguing is that this part of witness is only found in the gospel according to John. The argument regarding this is that whilst the other disciples deserted Jesus at some point as He faced the cross, John was the only disciple that followed Him until the cross. I've tried to do so much research on the above mentioned statement, in particular and I've remained with more questions than answers. I agree that a great deal of myth and legend have been grafted on to the historical Jesus, but Flavius Josephus, the Romano-Jewish historian that lived during the 1 century AD, indicated that Jesus existed in his text, “Capture (of Jerusalem).” Even the author you cited, Bart Herman, believes that Jesus existed. Nonetheless, I appreciate everything else you had to say. Good work!
Josephus is one reference that has been debunked by scholars as a fraud. Many times. I like Bart Ehrmans scholarship. But he is just like many biblical scholars that work to prove the naritive. He sells many books to Christians. 🤔
The "Jesus" of the Gospels that walked on water is not the same thing as the many historical "Jesuses" who revolted against the Romans. Ehrman and others willingly conflate the two to sell books.
And the scholars that do not buy into the naritive don't get funded nor publicized. The book Ceasars Messiah comes to mind. Very compelling but not widely publicized. He is one that debunks Josephus quite thoroughly.

"Caesar's Messiah" comes to mind. When I try to explain it to my Southern Baptist family I just get blank stares. I have also been battling to fully grasp the hidden truths and meaning behind the "seven statements that Jesus uttered" before he gave up His breath on the cross. The one in particular is where He said to His mother (Mary)..."woman, behold your son", and to the disciple whom He loved (assumed to be John), "behold your mother..."
What's intriguing is that this part of witness is only found in the gospel according to John. The argument regarding this is that whilst the other disciples deserted Jesus at some point as He faced the cross, John was the only disciple that followed Him until the cross.

True when I was a Christian they was always a battle between science and Christian Doctrines because I did science loved science and my maternal side they studied science. So I will always question the Bible but because I was soo into in Christianity I started struggle but thanks to God I passed at school because I mean I love mathematics and science. But now I do arts which I still the science and mathematics. But truth is studying arts has made me realize that Christianity it was a political thing. Learn the Romans art it showed that it was part building their cultures, system of beliefs because it's was part of civilization and all that so now studying about the universe is I can tell that when we request to the universe theirs always a cause and effect so our thoughts are powerful.
We really need to stay positive and never allow anyone to control our subconscious mind because it helps them to menifest things for them. At first I was scared because I pictured God in religious way but now after awakening it's it gave me a bigger greater part of the universe and the source about the creator holistically instead of a smaller and painted picture about God or creator.

Josephus is one reference that has been debunked by scholars as a fraud. Many times. I like Bart Ehrmans scholarship. But he is just like many biblical scholars that work to prove the naritive. He sells many books to Christians. 🤔

And the scholars that do not buy into the naritive don't get funded nor publicized. The book Ceasars Messiah comes to mind. Very compelling but not widely publicized. He is one that debunks Josephus quite thoroughly.

Yup. They were a theocracy under their emperor as a god. Bishops were judges and military personnel, hence why our judges today wear robes in court as the church bishops do today. We are still under Roman systems. Sol Invictus was the initial worshipping of the Roman emperors by the military. A Soldier is a Roman legioneer and part of the Re-legions who was paid with a Solidus coin and revereed the emperor in power.
These Re-legions kept their military united under this religious brotherhood worshipping the emperor. Konstantin was the first Roman church Pater(Latin for father)/Peter. He created christianity to have his Empire under one Relegion, and this was continuously refined over the centuries, to be called The Holy Roman Catholic Church today. The entire political system then included Relegion orders of Sol Invictus which became Christians. Today religion is still included and part of our political system, a remnant of the Romans.

This is another thing why Christianity is so disturbing they talk about the Holy Trinity which is Father, Son and Holy Sprit. Since Mary was the mother of the Jesus then why not include her in the Trinity.
"Caesar's Messiah" comes to mind. When I try to explain it to my Southern Baptist family I just get blank stares. Logically it makes zero sense to say that simply "believing" that a Jewish guy died and came back to life (like an actual zombie) that every bad thing you've ever done or will do will be forgiven and you'll go to "heaven" after you die. Not only does it make no sense but it cannot be explained by these same people. It's all for show. You have been taught to believe the only reason you had the experience is because an individual name Jesus existed 2000 years ago. I truly believe your inner spiritual experience is real. But whether a person named Jesus existed 2000 years ago has nothing to do with what you experienced in the present. I know of many people that are not Christian that speak in tongue.

What I offer is for humanity. If you don't understand that race is an issue for a black man in America then you have an issue or just ignorant. I address race as a part of my experience. It is part of my journey and any black persons journey to overcome what racism has inflicted us with.
I don't blame white people, but they are accountable for their part. I will not ignore the reality of the situation to make a white person comfortable. The truth is I piss off many black people too who feel I shouldn't be accepting of all races with this knowledge .
