i know it as been awhile sense you posted the video but i have a question. when you was using the lazer level to set all of the measurements . was your car setting on your jig from the rocker panels. if it was . was the rocker panels and jig setting level and parallel with each other

Hey Richard, I just thought I would comment here as I am going through a similar process at the moment. When I setup my car on all of these points according to the FSM specs my front frame rails sit level but the rocker panel slops up toward the front of the car about 1/2 an inch or so, I was worried about the frame rails and rocker panels being parallel but from all my research this is normal.

thank you for commenting. that is about what i have come up with also. i am replacing the one piece transition pan with the trunk floor and both rear frame rails. i could not get it setting in there right. so i took it all back out and made a jig just for it using the last 2 measurement on the FSM specs and assembled it . now i have it setting back up in there and it looks good. i am bout ready to weld it in.

Do you have a link to you jig? Look for Measurements and calculations so I can do the same thing An you did. Do the same thing, as your doing to your mustang. This jig would make my life so much easier. Thanks

Derrik u is your car still complete? Meaning you haven’t removed any metal yet?

I have not removed any metal from the car yet. I have a pile of stuff that needs to go on the car. But I bought all new metal Frame runners from front to back to replace the actual flimsy unibody frame. From. autoWeldchassis.com i’ll make a link of the frame rails that I bought and post them to you video underneath of this one. The car is pretty much just the shell now. I re-watched your video from the beginning And realize that you’re not that far for me saying where you got the metal from you probably an hour and a half from me. Out towards Frederick Maryland.
