Gallantians can breath in atmospheres with little oxygen and pressures 10× greater than earth. this video was filmed in a centripetal gym pod, otherwise a 405 squat would be like getting up from the toilet for Jason on his home planet. Thank you for risking skeletal and muscular dystrophy to bring us great content on this soft planet.

Jason, thanks for clarifying the breathing. I was one of the many that asked about that. It sounds like a little practice will be necessary to get the timing right.

I don't know why someone would criticize your squat technique. I tried it out (one legged) and must say that it was the first time I heard my quads crying and insulting me and calling me a masochist... :O Quads were on fire. Time under tension is key.

I’ve seen a lot of people talk about when inhaling to push the stomach and sides out like a “can” and then brace abs. You mention suck the stomach in. Are these the same methods when preparing to breath and brace the core before starting the movement ?

Good topic Jason, often overlooked. i find myself training on an almost held breathe most of the time, just taking shallow breaths at the top or relaxed part of the movement, it seems instinctive to me.
    Top work.

Awesome video. I've been doing it all wrong; I allow the exercise to take my breathe away and not control it myself. Gallantian for life!!

Do what comes naturally, but you'll find that exhaling under pressure during the effort part of the lift helps.

I hope the gallantians can come in their space ships and enlighten us earthlings

Can you explain breathing in through the nose does what. And exhailing out the mouth

Great video! And by far best natural bodybuilder I've ever seen. Mind blown always haha. You're knowledge, size, strength, and lean muscle mass is so awesome.
