SIGA Majrex Interior Vapor Membrane -- Proof of Concept

This video shows SIGA's new high performance interior vapor membrane, and tests its ground-breaking directional permeability. This membrane, called Majrex, has variable permeability, which means it becomes more vapor open when surrounding relative humidity is higher, and more vapor closed when humidity is lower. In addition, it has a unique directional permeability, meaning it has a higher permeability on the insulation side than it does on the interior (living space) side. This allows structures to remain protected from damage due to excess interior humidity, while simultaneously allowing even the most challenging ceiling or wall assemblies to dry.
