  • In today's video, we delve into one of the most profound and thought-provoking episodes from the epic Mahabharata - the "Yaksha Prashna". In this captivating story, Yudhishthira, the eldest of the Pandavas, encounters a mysterious Yaksha while seeking water for his brothers. The Yaksha poses a series of challenging questions, testing Yudhishthira's wisdom, patience, and righteousness.
One of the most memorable questions asked by the Yaksha is: "What is the most astonishing thing in this world?"
Yudhishthira's answer is timeless and deeply insightful: "Day after day, countless creatures go to the abode of Yama (the god of death), yet those that remain behind continue to live as though they are immortal. What could be more astonishing than this?"
Join me as I explore the meaning behind Yudhishthira's response and its relevance to our lives even today. Discover the eternal wisdom embedded in this ancient epic and reflect on the nature of life and our attitudes towards mortality.
I feel that conversations around the topic of death are few & far compared to the emotional turmoil this event can cause in our lives, and hence this topic appears to me to be one of those non-negotiable ones that I should pick in this new series of podcast episodes. This laid the foundation for Episode 3 of Season 2 of The Unlearning Playground Podcast, which is also an extremely personal episode for me, because I share some updates to my life that actually pushed me to sit in front of my mic with this subject, no matter how emotionally challenging.
The complete episode can be found from the end screen elements section or here - • How to Handle Grief, H...
