  • Hyper-Lapse video applying our #waxie #mirage low maintenance floor finish to a brand new vinyl floor. Tested half with the WAXIE Fastglide flat mop system, and the other half with the #unger #excella flat mop microfiber system. Both provide a streak free, zero waste way of applying a beautiful finish to almost any surface. We also used the #kaivac trolley bucket to apply a large amount of finish in a short time, speeding up productivity all around. It is great for large areas

This is the best way by far. If you clean them properly after use then they can last a while

It's called the "Trolley Bucket" from Kaivac.

I’ve got this Rubbermaid Micro fiber wax applier and I’m currently doing a cafeteria floor. I’m having issues leaving streaks! Any advice? Thanks

Could be a multitude of things.
Are you 100% sure that it is a microfiber rayon mop designed for finish, and not a microfiber cleaning mop that is designed for actual mopping of soap? There is a dramatic difference.
Is your mop saturated with finish, the entire time you are pulling (not pushing) the finish across the floor? Sometimes when applying finish we tend to go too fast, not allowing the finish to saturate the floor.
Is the floor completely clean and neutralized before you apply finish?
Let me know, I'm here to help.

Bullsh*t? Judging before researching the facts?
      - zero waste. Traditional method dumps finish into the bucket, and whats remaining at completion gets tossed.
      - pinpoint accuracy in corners/against walls. Traditional method is very difficult to control accuracy unless you have years of experience. Today's custodian is mostly still learning for the most part.
      - productivity through the roof. Microfiber is much faster.
      - easy clean up with a microfiber vs. a string mop. Rarely is a string mop rinsed properly.
      - remaining finish in a traditional bucket gets poured out at completion, vs. a sealed microfiber type container, allows for saving the unused finish, just like in a gallon container.
      - Microfiber uses the exact same thickness of each layer of finish each time, vs. constantly dipping the string mop in the finish and then slopping it on the floor each time, with uneven thickness layers.
      - touch up, I only need a small amount of (already saved) finish with microfiber vs. a touch-up woth a string mop, requires a large amount of finish in the bucket.
Now all lf this is dependant on experience as well. Old school custodians with oodles of experience are irreplaceable with a string mop vs. microfiber.
I can train a new custodian in minutes with a microfiber. Using a string mop is a lost art and requires lots of training.
Both are good methods, however 95% of everyone I've trained to microfiber ftom a string mop, have never gone back.
      Thanks for playing.

@@mikeanderson4766 I am new in here and wanted to thank you for your knowledge, i use microfibers for car detailing and they cannot be replaced with a terry towel. The Terry will just push product around where a microfiber will suck in the dirt or water etc. I was just hired as custodian foreman and have been researching efficiant ways to lay down floor finish. This video has helped me. Thank you
