    The worst-ever outbreak of the disease continues to ravage communities across West Africa. UNICEF estimates that, as of 16 September, 8.5 million children and young people under the age of 20 live in areas affected by Ebola in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia, the three countries where disease transmission remains widespread and intense.
