The trumpet player starts his solo quoting Freddy Hubbard’s “Little sunflower”. Nice rendition to this classic by Marvin Gaye! Santana recorded this in their album “Milagro” with Larry Graham (yes, the iconic bass player) as a guest in the lead vocal (!!). Awesome!
Tweeners should take notice here.... a REAL live performance with REAL musicians that actually SING and PLAY instruments. Turn off your Guitar Hero, put away the Bieber stuff occupying your playlists and study real musicians. Better yet, go to a live concert like this that doesn't use canned filler "music" that is nothing more than a backdrop to the weak choreography and "grand entrances" by the "featured performer". Rock on Carlos!!!
+nadinetakara Well, actually Marvin Gaye sang the "original" version (From the What's Going On album, 1971), but Larry's version with Santana (from 1992's Milagro album) is RIGHT ON too!
