I want to jump in here also and thank Jimmy! I went from 105ish scores to 92ish scores after only 3 of Jimmy's videos. My GF said, Who's this Jimmy? I said, Jimmy is family now babe and you need to sit down next to me and watch our new family member! lol Thank you brother!!
Jimmy I'm using your videos and tips and am playing better than ever I'm 68 and enjoying and scoring lower than I have for many years appreciate what you do thanks for your help and time hope you know your your appreciated 😊
Jimmy thanks for the videos. Your mental game tips have changed the way I play and have helped me learn to love the game again. I used to shoot mid 80s and after a few years off and a back injury from a car bomb in Iraq my scores jumped to the 115 range. Thanks to you, I now am starting to love the game again. Keep it up brother, your changing lives weather you see it of not.
Great tip! 🙌🏾 I played with three former D-1 base ballers this past weekend, and you know how hard “Baseball Kids” swing. I was trying to keep up with them on the first 3 holes and found myself 6 over…through 3! YIKES! Decided to get back to MY game, and play the way I’d normally play, thinking “good thoughts”, swinging it eeeeeeasy, and I found more FIRs and GIRs than the base ballers for the rest of the round. Peer pressure is a mo-fo! The lesson: stop trying to kill it off the tee and fairway. Take your time and reeeeelaaaaaax!
Just discovered your channel. Gold, my man! Pure gold! Playing tomorrow with the usual crowd. They're going to think I'm on drugs as I pull out my 5 iron to tee off on the 1st (par 4 400 yds). Thank you!
Jimmy, good input I use the same approach ,I also add in breathing when I take the club back I’ll take a breath in / I’m swinging I breathe out it seems to work very well.
Gave this a try…. Now hitting straight and keeping my ball. Being a big guy who played sports all my life, no one has ever told me to ease up and I will be better. Not only that… my wife has informed me I’m much happier to play with because of this tip! Thank you
I had been struggling my last few rounds and it is. Lot of the same problem you had. I finally started feeling like I was dropping the club and my hands on the down swing. I was trying to swing to hard and it made a big difference yesterday.
Your videos are great I shot a couple 90's everything was coming apart so I took your advice and slowed it down and your used your chipping technique went out and shot 79 fun again thanks
just recently started watching your content consistently and man im not even a member at via verde but im looking forward to them finishing that tee box work. yall have had it rough lately😅
I am very interested to know what your view is relating to grip pressure and whether you consciously feel the actual swing weight of the clubhead through impact.
Solid tips homie. "Wave to the camera-JT" helped me with my first eagle on a long par 5 and swinging smooth dropped my score by 5 on the next round. Looking forward to breaking 75 brother!
I can relate, my worst golf probably looks a lot like that round you're talking about. I recently had my closest ever to a hole in one by clubbing up and swinging easy. It totally works 😁
So crazy because I had a similar experience recently but i was able to correct while playing. Realized I was over swinging causing loss of control due to inefficient ball striking.Next round was much better too.
@@TropicanaEntertainment mate we’d love to get you and Manolo down here to Melbourne Australia one day. As you know we have the most incredible golf courses and you you make some awesome videos. 👍
It is harder in competition to play your own game. I play with better golfers and when they kill the ball, I’m motivated to up my game. It rarely works. Good video to reinforce your own good habits. That is how we improve. It’s not the golf shoes, it’s playing your own game no matter the low handicappers you are paired with in that round.
I swing a 95mph 7iron. I think this winter im going to put in simulator time to dial it down to 90mph. Better accuracy, less tired. Bring some of the top end of the bag into play more.
I find this a bit confusing, you normally hit a 6 iron to the hole but you tried swing slower so you went with a 7? Seems like you would have gone with a 5 so you could swing within your self. Overall your concept is spot on I find that I do much better if I just stay under control and use the next one or two clubs. Thanks for the video!
Jimmy how could you be swinging out of your shoes at Rams Hill when all of your videos you promote take your time smooth swing nice and easy ..LOL what do you shoot out there?
I went to my course wearing slides. My buddy asked me if I wanted play nine holes. I said "I don't have my shoes" so... played bare foot. We can't swing hard without shoes. I ended up beating my buddy and taking his . Plus bare foot on the greens is awesome.

swinging hard is the biggest issue people have. glad this helped you. thanks for watching

Jimmy give up some advice for hitting our hybrids 3 and 5

hit em soft Jimmy, and get those trousers some more flare to the shoes...keep up the great work
Good ol lee. You got it pal

Its the best remedy! Thanks for watching
GOOD
The highs and lows of golf. ⛳️
trueeee
So crazy because I had a similar experience recently but i was able to correct while playing. Realized I was over swinging causing loss of control due to inefficient ball striking.Next round was much better too.
There you go. Glad it clicked.

Jimmy what irons do you play. Ty

you got it. slow is smooth and smooth is fast. happy new year
@@TropicanaEntertainmentI think my new t150s deserve it. When they get here in February....
And maybe, just maybe you had a few beers too lol😅
I actually had more beers after the round than before lol. Thanks for watching
I've been playing like this for the last 20 years. It really helps lower your score.
sure does. thanks for watching
Your lesson so good that I want to get off office early to have a round of golf after lunch.
Thats what I love to hear! Hope you get to play!

I think he was fine laying up just to emphasize he wanted a nice level swing but I see what you’re saying. Club up and swing slower to get it there
I think you misheard. I usually hit 7 but instead I smoothed a 6. Thanks for watching. I’m glad it’s helping.
Jimmy…go back to 5:00….fwiw you did hit a 7 iron (or at least you vocalized that)🤷♂️
Sorry to nit pick, but you said that you’re wearing “non golf shoes”. They appear to be Footjoys with plastic cleats…🤔🤔🤔🤷♂️🤷♂️
(Maybe you were saying to “think that”…..)😖
Jimmy how could you be swinging out of your shoes at Rams Hill when all of your videos you promote take your time smooth swing nice and easy ..LOL what do you shoot out there?
Trust me. It was frustrating!! Thanks for watching
A good lesson....but wear golf shoes. Don't have to hit very hard at all, to botch up a shot because of bad shoes.
Yes. Golf shoes help. Swing smooth. Thanks for watching
@@TropicanaEntertainment Thanks for the video, Jimmy.
Sounds like you got into the "Who can hit the longest" with the buddies the other day, instead of your game.
Haha. My tee shots were good it was my approach shots were smoked. Thanks for watching
Swing to hard and hurt yourself, learned that the hard way!
Yeah man. Keep it smoooooth! Thanks for watching
This is the forth video and he’s yet to tee off with a driver. Almost always a 7 iron! Imagine if he would pick up driver
No need. Keep it on grass!

Ain't you Manolo's buddy?
I am indeed. Thanks for watching.
I always think of the scene on forgetting Sara Marshall where he’s trying to learn to surf. Do less if you try your doing to much!
Couldnt be more true!! Thanks for watching
If I took this approach, I would not be a 2.
lol im lucky if i can hit a 6 170
Nothing wrong with that as long as it goes straight. Thanks for watching. -Jimmy at www.tropicanagolfshop.com
