When women are dancing in one spot, this dance originated from the Blackfeet Nation!

There's no way to actually trace the origins of this dance to one nation, for example the poundmaker cree nation claims they were the first to introduce this dance style, along with many other nations. As women in the past were often not allowed in the dance circle at all, it's speculated that it's origins are from a much more general act of dancing in place outside the circle, which likely happened in many nations across Turtle Island

I love the regalia of the woman in the blue shawl with the long fringe.

Look at the way their dresses sway. They know what they are doing

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember hearing that the purpose of the women's northern traditional dance isn't the dance, but showing the regalia. The woman moves in one place basically to show how the regalia moves. There are other dances ( like shawl and jingle) that rely on the dance more.

Our ancestors before us across turtle island, never had makeup or beads never existed, i feel like powwows aren’t about ceremony, just commercialized event, or money never existed either, a feast was offered to visitors, today you got to pay for travel and everything to organizers, drum groups, dancers etc,

Who cares? Our cultures change and evolve. Powwow brings our people together and helps us hold onto what we have left. If you don't like it, don't go. One more space for someone who wants to be there instead of crying around.
