Hey Hank if you go down to your local equipment store or any dealership you can purchase a universal key seet that has all of heavy equipment universal keys on it. I kept one with me at all times when I was running heavy equipment for companies companies just in case the operator before me pulled out the key. So I alway. Had a key for any machine on the job. Make your starts alot easier if you buy one!!

The engine may not be the issue at the moment. It could be the hydraulic pump that’s locked up and that’s stopping the engine from turning over. If you could disconnect the hydraulic pump and see what it does then. Maybe something to think about in the future. Keep up the good work 🤙🤙

Wasn't that one of your old videos ... Where three old boys came out to start an old rig. One brought a tool he had made from a starter cone. The cone bolted to the block the starter gear engaged to the flywheel ring-gear. On the backside of the nose cone, where the starter used to be, a large bolt went into the starter gear. There may have been a gear reduction involved, but anyway, those guys were able to get the engine to break loose and spin.
one would need a nose cone off a starter and some cutting and welding skills. ... A welder would help.🤔

Hank you should try that kroil down inside of the cylinders to let it soak more. Then paddle bar it from the bottom.& Ratchet it at the same time from up top on the camshaft together as one. It should pop it loose with the momentum of both.& Constant pressure will.,or should release those stuck cylinders up. I'd cut the belts after checking to see if those are still available to get replacement ones for it. If you we're to go ahead with cutting them.,or it off. Cause that belt being on there could be rusted on stuck to those pulley's not allowing those to turn freely also. It's all part of it in situations like those to just saying.,an stating the oviusly facts about those types of issues. That life throughs at ya your way along the road of hard times.& Struggling.& In struggles like those to.

Hey guys, it may just be the starter. I got my 50T Liebherr 952HD stuck in a pond(not flooded) for a few weeks and the starter did the same think from 1 weekend to the next due to constant moisture/condensation. Mine would engage the drive with the key(just like the hard click that you are hearing) but no fire to actually drive the starter. I could crank it by jumping the larger terminals on the starter once the key was turned on(other electronics need fire from the key). Even if the key wasn't on, it would turn over just not crank. YOU NEED TO JUMP THE STARTER OUT FIRST. If the motor turns over, you're good. I cant imagine the motor stuck when all parts were installed and no water leaks from just sitting. That's very rare.
Not sure how the electronics on that machine work. BUT, if you can get to the starter: Connect 2 batteries in series just like you had. Just put them on the ground beside the machine. Use a set of jumper cables and just hook the negative to any good clean metal on the machine. Touch the positive to the large lug of the starter to see if it will turn over. This will bypass the solenoid and all electronics of the machine just to see if it will turn.

Henry, engines have pistons and connecting rods that spin a crankshaft. This is where it receives its rotational force. An electric motor doesn't need to do this because the rotor is doing the rotating. It doesn't need to covert reciprocating motion into rotation. This uses existing electricity to allow it to rotate. What's the better of them? Electric motors. Why? It's because of the electricity. It has a certain amount of voltage. What's voltage? It's the pressure of the electricity. The flow of it is called wattage. So there's the difference between the two of them. I know you'll not forget this.

I was strictly typing about internal combustion engines, whatever it, which all have rotating shaft, including all the different styles of them. How many are there? Turboshafts, turbo fans, turbojets, ram jets, and pulse jets. All of them have shafts that spin. There's one more them called a turboprop. The rotary continues to be an internal combustion engine. Electric motors don't require fuel, it does so on electricity. Do any people reading this want to counter what I typed? I'm ready.
