    this video explain about image resizing and what it do to the file size and pixel. But the title said resize without loosing quality. When you increase the size of the picture it will get a bit blurry so it kind of lose quality every inch you add to it.

    A very simple description of what, for some, can be very confusing. Excellent tutorial.

    Can I use any vector illustration that I have and put it in Photoshop to resize it, or do I have to use an illustration that was created in Photoshop itself?

    I agree. This was a thorough explanation of what otherwise is confusing.

    Many thanks for this video, so well explained. Question: when downsizing the image, a higher resolution is obtained. Is it necessary to bring the resolution down to 300 or can the high resolution be left?

    You are a great teacher. They way you explain things make sense. I have a question. I have a VERY large image 2400px by 1350px, trying to size it down for a logo on a back of business card. The image size + resample trick doesn't maintain the quality. What am I missing?

    So, when would it be beneficial to untick the Resample box?

      Whenever u want to change the dimension but dont want change any information (i.e. dont want photoshop to add/remove any pixels).
      Whenever file size is not a problem. U r happy with current file size and u want to change dimensions.

    I want to upload pictures online on print selling websites but the file size is larger than the maximum file size limit. Can I just resize the image to decrease the file size or I should scan again the picture at low power to get less file size without losing quality?

    • @dvwLEARN
      @dvwLEARN  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are 2 ways of reducing file size. 1- you can reduce width height in equal proportions
      2- you can reduce resolution of the image (to acceptable level)
      Or u can try a combination of both in image settings. Also save in smaller file formats like jpg instead of png.

    Very concise and simple. So many tutorials about photoshops basic functions are made out to be confusing, when they shouldn’t be. Good job at laying a clear thought path.
