I just found your channel and this video is fantastic. The comparison videos are awesome, but these instructional videos are really motivating, even as someone who has been playing for years and years. Thank you.

I've only come to 5:10 and already I find this amazing!!!! I'll have to get a metronome. I noticed my bad time keeping when I attempted to play to a play-a-long. I usually play on my own and just play my tempo, but this should be really helpful!

Nice instructional video, but I gotta be a dick here. When you play the guitar to the metronome it seems like you hear the click first and then play the note. sometimes you're on time but very often you go just after every click. The thumbrule is to not hear the click and then the guitar hit. There's this guy, can't remember his channel, that covers this about timekeeping where so many go wrong. Just felt I had to put it out there. But still a nice way to introduce timekeeping to beginners.

I can play many things but as soon as i play to a beat i struggle, it's taken me far too long to realise i should be practicing to a metronome!

So I've been playing guitar for like 15 years however only in the last 3 or 4 months have I decided to start taking it seriously and pursue it as more of career rather than a hobby that I do alone in my room and with that decision came the realization that my timing is horrible, I mean I knew it wasn't great but didn't realize how bad it actually was until I someone asked me to record something for a song they were working on (I guess 15 years of playing without a metronome can have less than stellar results... Who knew? 😂) so I've been trying to fix it and have certainly been struggling to repairs the decade and a half of por habits. Fortunately, thanks to TH-cam's algorithm I stumbled upon this and it just so happens to be the first video of yours I've ever come across and it also just so happens to be by far been the most helpful video I think I've ever watched. Idk why exactly, because I do get the basic concept, but I just never thought to break it down this way and I couldn't not say thank you, so thank you lol.
I just realized this is 6.5 years old too.... I really hope you've continued to make content as I'd really enjoy more videos like this. I'm subbbing anyway as soon as i click "comment" and then I'll look and hopefully find 6.5 years of superior content.

Did you get that Yamaha fixed ? You got the money to throw down on a gibson which sounds nice but far too over priced. One thing I really like about playing the guitar, and that is in the words of Chuck Yeager, "its not the machine its the man that makes the difference". metronome do they make one shaped like an airplane propeller.

I be honest with you , I heard a lots teachers , some of them are very good teachers, But sometimes I don’t want to listen to them,
    It makes me feel bad,
Your teaching first is very light.
    Very fun,
And makes me laugh. If I needed to play for me if I be super star,
Yes, thank you. Very much LOL
