Men ... I am starting my knife collection since early this year, the one that got me going was the Spyderco Tenacious and a Leatherman Skeleton KB, from there I have purchased some Kershaw, CRKT, Buck, ESSE, SOG, Benchmade, Cold Steel, Keizer... I have to say I have seen maybe around 50 knife collection videos in the past few days trying to see what new things I can get to know, and your is the one I have enjoyed almost the most... mostly because the taste in your selection is quite similar as mine, knives that (with the exception of maybe a couple) are not aggressive or odd looking, even the custom or more expensive that you have at the bottom of the case. I’ve seen from other videos that when people show their customs that costs 100s of bucks they are too futuristic or odd looking. I’m gonna watch also your other video with traditional story see what you got there... really cool bro !

Well, to some a knife is a tool, to others is a collectable fashion accessory. To each their own.
BigSmartArmed for me is two reasons. One for safety and two for fashion

I think they become fashion accessories when you throw in exotic materials that are more of show pieces... for me knives are tools.. and as you said... to each their own

Finally someone in amarica that's not a yuppy and does a proper knife video not just a kid being obsessed over butterfly knifes

Thanks for sharing your collection, enjoyed seeing many different knives than I own myself. That Strider looks really nice with that scale on it, don't really see replacement scales on those too often but that really worked well.

I love knives more than anything in the whole world and I live in a country that is sanctioned by USA for 37 years. Yeah, you guessed right which country. Iran!
I couldn't have any of my favorites knife in here because exporting anything from US in here is forbidden. Of course knives is forbidden in this place specially tactical and almost all of haunting knives. There is some of Buck's models in some secret stores, a lot of fake knives and there is some legal Victorinox sellers (So I have 7 pieces, thanks god)
All I want to say is that please appreciate what you have by your heart. There is someone on other side of the globe who really loves to have one. By the way, my top favorite brand is ZT and die for it.

I started from a very young age as well, but wasnt too serious about it until later on in life... Just remember, it doesnt matter how many you have or what kind, it how you use them and enjoy them... and be safe!

how long have u been collecting for ive been into knife for like 15 years now but only started collecting quality knifes the past 6 months and im only sitting at about 15 knifes plus swiss collection i started.
+TheKnives Templar I've been collecting for close to 10 years, started out with $5-10 flea market knives. For many years, I was buying and selling many knives but when i realized the resale value for the cheaper ones wasn't really worth it, although there are many high quality budget knives these days. Also i am trying to keep what i have at the moment and my tastes have changed which lead to more expensive knives. It took many years to get to this point sometimes selling 4-5 knives just to cover the purchase on one!

Great collection , what do you use as a protectant? Especially for the carbon steel blades in part two, I've been using mineral oil but getting tired of the constant oil all over the knives, yours seems to be free of that.
Mineral oil works just fine, but i use Aegis EDCi knife care solution on most of my blades, it excellent stuff and also food safe! Heres the link aegissolutionsknifecare.com/edci/

quick question are your SpiderCo knives considered switchblades because i want to get one online. They will not ship if switchblade
To be considered a switch blade it needs a button or switch
I do not have any switchblades in my collection. Most spydercos are manual folders and as Josh said, switch blades usually have a button or lever.
All I will ever buy is benchmade. Warranty is awesome and great company

Did you make that case or did you buy it? I need something else to put my knives in. I have a small clear safe that holds 12 knives( 6 on each side) and it sits on my bookshelf. But I have bigger knives and they don't fit so i need a new case.
+Why So Serious? That is an HPRC case similar to a Pelican case with the customizable foam. I have a video demonstrating how it works. Highly recommend either brand... very durable and versatile!

As someone who is looking to start a collection, any brands you would recommend or some good knives to buy?
Just starting out....CRKT is really hot in 2016. You can get knives that look like customs for $35-55. Kershaw makes nice knives for decent prices also. And you can't go wrong stepping up into Spyderco. AVOID: Gerber, Sogg.

I'd recommend CRKT, Kershaw, Ontario, Buck, and Spydercos budget line for quality affordable knives that will last.
UPDATE/Followup...CRKT, Kershaw, Cold Steel, Spyderco. AVOID: Gerber, SOG. Boker.....Kershaw "BLUR", CRKT "Mah Eraser" & "Swindle"...ANY Spyderco over $70. Boker makes some great knives, but also some Dogs, avoid them in the beginning, same with Buck. Get the Blur and Mah eraser, thank me later. HeHe. Oh...alot of people are jumping on the GANZO bandwagon, super cheap-well made knock-off copy kat knives from China. Get them at GEARBEST.

That's the best thing about living in Almost Heaven West Virginia you can carry any knife or hell any sword gun or rifle you want of course guns they have to be in the open unless you have concealed carry permit

Of course I had to pause the video and go look for one, and managed to find ONE on eBay...brand new for 150...picked it up and it is on its way :) .... my 4th purchase this week....damn it. haha

+Knives4Days ughh... so it just came today. its flipping gorgeous...smooth action, sharp as all hell...but i somehow broke the very tip off within 2 hrs...not sure how.. i baby all my knives..never done that beforem..didnt drop it or bang it or anything...im confused and a bit bummed...hoping i can send it to someone...maybe apostleP to fix and get that mirror edge.
And yes the addiction is real...I said i was done for the month, but I just got a knivesshipfree email that the ZT0456 Sinkevich was in stock and they had 4 so I had to quickly scoop one up. They sold out in like 25 minutes.

I have a buck knife from my grandpa and it is a 112 and yours is a 110 what is the difference
i have the 112 as well...the only real difference is its smaller...still a great piece of cutlery. hope this helped.

hey nice video, but I noticed your sage 1 only says taiwan on the back, i have seen others like mine and they say taichung taiwan, is it normal maybe in the older model, check it out and i hope you got the real one

Get a Spyderco Delica 4. You can get them new for < $55 if you look around, and even cheaper used.
Expensive letter openers if you ask me, I mean it is collecting but dont you hesitate to cut something with a $300 knife, I do I find them amazing and awesome to play around with but when it comes time to cut something with an expensive knife, something sinks in my stomach knowing Im grinding my knife away .
To each his own.. i can understand where youre coming from, i tend to baby a new knife for a couple weeks... but its like driving a new car... once you get that first scratch, youre not afraid to use it with confidence!
