Thanks for the great video. I am planning to go to Istanbul on October. Do we need to check out when we take the ferry to Adalar? I heard that one istanbulkaart can be used for two persons. But not sure how it works if there is a check in and check out.
Hi there. Thank you for watching😃 As I recall, we used one card for two travellers on the ferry and didn’t have to tap out. You should consider what type of pass you have on your card. Ours was just money loaded and we used it for several people in the group. If you have a timed unlimited pass, like 1 Day unlimited or 7 Day unlimited, then you should use separate cards per person. Hope this helps:) Are you planning to do a day trip to Adalar or stay overnight?
@@natashtepa thanks for the reply 😊 we are also planning to have the card where we can top up money and use it for travel. We are planning to have a day trip from the main island. Thanks again for the lovely video. Cant wait to visit the area!
Hi there! This island is named Büyükada and the ferry station is called Adalar. It’s the biggest island in the archipelago and has the most activities. Are you planning to go there for one day or also to stay overnight?
Last ferry from Adalar to Istanbul departs at 6 pm. So it’s more likely to catch the sunset when you’re already on the boat, which is great in its own way:)
Good evening, could you please recommend the beach near Istanbul? We will go there in July 😊we have 2 kids and will stay in Istanbul for 10days . Thank you in advance ❤❤
Hi there! July is going to be a hot month in Istanbul and it would sure be nice to dip into a refreshing sea:) Even though Istanbul is located on the sea, it doesn’t have beaches in the central area of the city. You would have several options and they would all require a couple of hours to get to the beach. One would be to follow our advise mentioned in this video and visit the Princes Islands. There you’ll find beach clubs, some of which will have entertainment for kids like water slides etc. Another option would be to go a bit north towards the Black Sea - the water is a bit Calder there, but I’ve heard they have nice beaches as well. Look up Bamboo Beach or Kumköy area. An additional option would be to fly to the Mediterranean shore, but I’m assuming you’re limited in time and might find this too much of a hassle. Hope you can find the option that does your needs best. Enjoy your vacation!
Pretty much all the beaches are private. The island has a lot of rocks and there’s no sandy beaches, and it’s hard to get there without a buggy or a ferry. So they do charge you some fee for that

Is it possible to enjoy the sunset view and the same evening go back to Istanbul with a ferry?

aren’t there any free public beaches in buyukada that the tourists can access or is it mandatory to enter through a beach club ?
