We had a cursed item that made your hair grow stupid fast. Think Rapunzel lengths after just a long rest. And it ALMOST got applied to a Tabaxi. DM said if he had put it on, he would have turned into a unmovable shag rug in moments.
Great idea. A character whose only aspiration is to find the magical haircutting scissors his ancestors once held. However in doing so he gets wrapped up with the main party and is suddenly dragged into a world of bs. Only to discover the BBEG actually is loosely related to him and has had the scissors as a memento all along forcing him to fight the BBEG.
Besides that last bit, that's basically Glint in Baldurs Gate siege of dragon spear. Well not for an item tho. Hes been sent to check on a bunch of relatives and runs into the players party. You eventually end up in Avernus(1st of the nine hells) fighting a massive devil
If I was in a DND world I would make it my mission to collect or make all the cool magical items or spells up my quality of life. You name it, I'd be after it.
Fr, it's always the "Useless" magic items that are always busted like hey big bad evil guy, have fun when i make your hair so long it fills the room and suffocates you. Enjoy that fire ball bestie
I’ll be honest, DnD barbershops are the only time I can accept that your hair just magically grows out further, cause there’s that whole magic thing going on
I just use an automaton barber mechanism that looks like a big hairdryer with little mechanical arms coming out of it attached to the ceiling (or mounted on a stand if there is none). It handles hair, make-up, and even patches up small scraped and cuts on the head region. This is necessary in case it makes a mistake.
Question to a DM... Does the spell Waterblade just drag any contaminants in the water along? Just asking because I want to know what would theoretically happen if I use the spell with a bucket of ocean water and citron juice blended toghether?
This is already possible with Pathfinder’s expanded uses of Prestidigitation. There is a spell side effect of Hair Growth that can be applied to any spell so +1ft hair -X inches hair and Magic Trick:Prestidigitation to color hair for a month.
Average magic item in DnD
(Curse is you slowly lose hair)
But it's so slow that you actually lose hair slower than it grows
Plot twist for every hair you lost a dragon scale replaces it on your body
Curse: alopecia

A good case of How to write off your haircut as a business expense. Bravo sir.
Expense
@@Username_broken Damn autocorrect. Thanks.
@@wetoddedd1 no problem, at least you didn't just take offense and not even change it like other people
Don't forget the styling is also one lol

How much does it take to add the prestidigation cantrip to an item? That'd cover most of it.
Ladle that always gives you just the right amount of whatever you're serving with it for how hungry you or whoever is being served is.
except that implies the scissors have the ability to magically grow hair and that means infinite rope

Also hair is good for a lot of things
Magical hair picks that's cast presty to change the hair shape is how I flavored that exact thing
Prestidigitation on scissors.
The paladin became the bard and gained 15 points in charisma on his character
Robert Dinero in Stardust, the hair lengthening scene. 100% ❤
this is a really clever skit
Jaden Williams
Came here to say the same.
Some people get inspired and turn that inspiration into plagiarism, it’s the natural cycle of a good idea

"Well at least its function isn't useful for combat..."
"I'd like to use the scissors to give the enemy hair longer than themselves."
"Oh for-"
Nobody tell the ghost of Bob Barker that this exists! We don't need animals complaining to the Druid about that.
For a second I thought those were the same kitchen sheers my mom had... I'd never live it down if I cut hair with those lol
I'm confused, his hair didn't change at all

I didn’t know we could use our reality warping DM powers IRL… 🤯
Oh dear lord, the hair color changed *_EVER SO SLIGHTLY_*
Magical haircut scissors means infinite hair, which means infinite rope
Hair growth used to be a cantrip... you just needed normal scissors.
I love the idea but I’m to stupid to see the difference. Thorugh the context I realized they changed their hairstyle but I don’t see it 😂
Fadetrimmer oath lookin fresh
Ngl, i had to watch the video 3 times to notice he cut his hair
…was there a change.
Maybe lighting
Every TH-camr when they become self aware
This is just that one ha hu ve ha ze skit
this is like that one jaiden williams skit
I also like the new hair ❤
The Cockatoo cut
Oh that's clever, making great use of the one man short video. Marvelous. You bring me great joy this day.
How in the AFI-36-2903 is this not standard 😂
I don’t understand, are they role-playing that it’s changing in game, or is there supposed to be editing that changes their hair IRL?
If only... it would ne a gift from the heavens...
great way to show off ur new haircut
Gta 5 barber in dnd
This would've worked better if he actually got a substantial haircut
Question to a DM... Does the spell Waterblade just drag any contaminants in the water along? Just asking because I want to know what would theoretically happen if I use the spell with a bucket of ocean water and citron juice blended toghether?
Awesome
COOKIE COOKIE COOKIE
Nice haircut
Long story short you got a hair cut
Scissors 7…
Now to actually change your hairstyle between cuts to make the skit work.....
Now try to figure out the order of events in filming
Thought he was going to exploit it to get infinite hair (infinite anything is never good for the dm)
😂
Wth😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Knowing how this would have to be filmed is odd because if you’d messed up one scene before the change you couldn’t have posted this
i get that what you're trying to say but you didn't change the haircut. You literally had the same haircut throughout the video
