I would just leave the group and quick log to get on a different dino once it was evident that they were just prolonging the torture, your dino would despawn on its own after a couple minutes, they probably wouldn’t even notice you were logged and it would deny them the food
I have incountered way more toxic players and this wasn't really that toxic it was just mest up like that isn't normal behaviour even if it's just a game
Once when I was playing on a modded server me and my friend itchys were hunting a mosasaur. It was all fun and games until the mosa got their friends to ruin the fun. I remember there were 5 fully grown mosasaurus that managed to kill my other teammembers but I escaped on top of a rock they couldn't reach. So while the 5 mosas camped the water just to get one itchy that was Role-playing. 2 more dragons came and kept me barely alive just like in the video. Biting my dino so I don't safe logg out meanwhile making sure I don't die. I eventually quit the game but it just shows that you can't have nice things due to players like that
